Dejik can make use of the headband and/or a belt of Con. If Irabeth and Jestak keep fighting with us, Dejik has the potential to pull 35 damage a round.
Good point. Dejik has a great case for the big CON belt.

Hey guys, Ronan's player has told me he's bowing out from PbP, which will end his two-years with this group. I'll put Ronan on autopilot and write him out.
Going forwards, you guys can decide if you'd like to stick with four, or recruit a new fifth. I don't think I'll go up to six unless there's a real desire for it.
I think we are good with 4 honestly. Especially if someone takes Leadership.

You know, I was about to complain about leadership, but this AP is very heavy on the NPCs, particularly the ones you've brought on with the hopes of redemption. So there's some interesting opportunities there to make use of the leadership feat.
From a meta-game perspective, that will leave Ayesha as the only arcane spellcaster, but I think Ayesha's actions are usually better spent actually in combat vs buffing Sarkast and Nilus.
As a divine caster, Dejik doesn't get fly, haste, stoneskin, etc., and she won't get 4th level spells for two more levels. She won't be able to fill Ronan's gap.
We don't need any of those things...we are blowing through fights easily.
Ayesha with mythic makes a more than adequate arcane spellcaster.
I've got a hard no from Nilus, and some arguments in favour from Dejik and Ayesha. I'll see what Sarkast has to say and go with what looks like a majority decision. I'll break a tie.
That said, Nilus is right that this AP is too easy, which he warned us about in advance. I've got some vacation and spare time after a crazy year, so I'm going to rewrite some of the fights to make them more difficult and see if I can find the sweet spot. How tough they get will vary on if we recruit a fifth.
I am fine either way. If there were someone looking to get in, I would be happy to have them join, but we don't necessarily need to go recruiting. Since you have the ability (and willingness!) to adjust on the fly, we can see how it goes with four.
For discussion and division:

- cloak of resistance +2
- headband of vast intelligence +2 (grants ranks in Sense MOtive)
- ring of protection +2
- an unidentified ring (beyond take 10, I'll need a roll)

Epic DR I think beats everything....UGH, I wished we had known it was a shadow demon. Nilus could have made Radiance a Ghost Touch weapon.
Staunton's notes indicate that there is a shadow demon named Eustoryiax guarding the sword of valor.
I clarify here OOC that it is a shadow demon guarding the sword.
I get this was months ago OOC, and to drop a GMly hint, there is a way to make this fight easier staring you in the face.
If Nilus already has the banner, then I have no idea what the hint was about.

And on (roughly) our second anniversary, we have completed Chapter 2! Congratulations to everyone. Put your feet up for the week (although RP as you wish of course) as I sort through the denouement and prepare things for Demon's Heresy.
So at roughly a year per chapter, that means we're on schedule to complete this in 2020. Something to look forward to! :-)

Yeah, that wasn't clear. Level 9 and 3rd mythic tier.
Also, I used a different stat block for Eustoyriax than the one published. I think I'm happier with the level of challenge offered although some tweaking was required. His default stats were uh, laughably low to be honest. So I'll continue using these updated stat blocks and hopefully the AP won't be such a cake walk.
Well honestly, until we used the Banner I think we were pretty screwed. After that...it was cake.
It would have also been much easier had I just made Radiance Ghost Touch from the get go.
Well, that was the point, I think. We were supposed to use the holy relic we came here for, and until we did it was going to be rough on us. Pure brute force isn't always the answer! :)

Yes, 1 year per module isn't bad, I don't think. My Shards of Sin module has been going for 3 years and they just finished book 1. Of course that one's ridiculously long anyways, but still...
With four I think it'll go a little faster. The next chapter will be interesting in PbP anyways. ANy thoughts on down time rules?
