You are correct, no action to remember.
Borax is unable to identify the thing! It looks like an ooze, but acts like a swarm. Fascinating? Maybe!

Betsy meanwhile sees a wierd crawly thing coming right for her and she snaps her jaws at it.

Borax waits until after Castiel takes his action. NVM..I see Castiel already moved.
Borax unsure of just what he is facing, decided it is best to move away from it as he passes through the door way around the shelves, staying in the smoke. Safely on the other side, Borax pulls out a flash of Akali acid.
I'm assuming the fog is 20' and provides total cover form the dudes on the walkway who are at least 10' up?

Betsy completely obliterates the ooze swarm, liking her reptilian lips as if it were raspberry jam!
Correct, Borax. They can't see you, you can't see them. Hence why they all went for the dwarf. Stupid obscuring mist... =P
Teric Cain
|
Teric moves out of the cloud and along one of the aisles. Now able to see, he shoots a cold ray at the archers.
Ranged touch: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Can someone move Teric 30 feet east along the aisle to his north?

At the end of his previous turn Castiel arrived at the ladder and had 5 ft of movement left to go up
GM Sior

Xan-Tie and Zinkyudo both shoot at two of the men on the catwalk and plucks them right off the edge in perfect unison as they fall to their demise! You were both aiming for the same one, so will just say you take both out. Just Ferdy left!
Meanwhile, Torg heads for the ladder with Castiel.
Teric peeks out to use his magic but is unable to get a clear shot off.
Seeing the way things are going, Ferdy moves to the ladder and, looking down at Castiel, drops a bag on him.
Bag on Castiel, Touch AC (no Dex bonus): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
He drops it harmlessly past Castiel, a look of shock and a little bit of fear on his face.
Party up
Zinkyudo
|
Zinkyudo darts under the catwalk, avoiding the cloud of mist by the door. Once he has a line on Ferdy, he attempts to knock him out with a well-placed blunt arrow, figuring they'll have some questions for the man.
Longbow attack, PBS, non-lethal: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 4 = 7
Longbow damage, PBS: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Castiel climbs up further on the ladder and ends up on the north side of it.
"You've done it now mate. You got me upset." He calmly says as he swings his lucerne hammer at the boy.

I moved you Castiel.
Teric crosses to the south side of the catwalk, observing Ferdy as the others attack him. "If you want to live, I would surrender and tell us what you know, Ferdy."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Xan-Tei Shun

Xan-Tei tries two difficult shots to hit the remaining enemy.

Confirm?: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 3 - 4 = 2 for Damage: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (3, 8) + 6 = 17
Torg Ice-Breaker

Torg climbs the ladder and tries to hit the last man, but he's off balance from the climb and misses.
Unarmed: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

As everyone tries to bring down Ferdy, the only one to connect and do the deed is Xan-Tie with two moderately placed arrows which fell the man.
Out of combat
You are now free to explore the warehouse at your leisure.
Castiel Graveclaw
|
Can we try to stabilize Ferdy or is he beyond help? Castiel could use his wand of clw to bring him by.
heal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
"Let's see if you avoided any critical spots. He might still be able to tell us something."
Xan-Tei Shun
|
Xan-Tei shows the hint of a smile as he brings the man down. He then begins to search the bottom floor of the warehouse, starting near where he currently stands. Take 10 on Perception for 18
Zinkyudo
|
Zinkyudo joins Xan-Tei in his search, moving to the small corner room they have not yet investigated.
Check the door in the northeast corner for any surprises, then open it.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Castiel Graveclaw

Castiel let's betsy seek and detect around the room for any curious smells and other things while he's stabilizing the body.
handle animal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
But seeing that Betsy remains to lick the goop he will join the search after the body is tied secure and stabilized (if not dead).

Castiel examines Ferdy up on the catwalk and finds that he is still breathing. With some work, he stabilizes Ferdy as Berty licks up the remnants of the ooze and promptly vomits it up in the corner.
Xan-Tei takes a glance around the area he stands, but finds nothing out of the ordinary.
Zinkyudo has little more luck. A cot and footlocker rest against the south wall by the eastern corner. In the opposite corner is a chair with a tray of food. Huddled beneath the cot is a dark form and you realize it is a similar creature to the one you found in the Locked Box's basement vault. "Did you get 'em? GAH! It's you! Don't hurt me!"
Castiel Graveclaw
|
Castiel bring Ferdy down the ladder with him and ties him up.
"Well this does explain some things. Do tell us critter, what did they want from you. Who is behind this plot."
Teric Cain
|
Teric leans down to look at the skulk. "Well, hello there. Don't worry, come on out. Here, you can keep eating, if you want. What's your name, there?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Borax Bulan
|
Is it the same skulk from before?
Borax takes a long look at the creature to confirm it's the same one from before.
K. Local (G10): 20 + 1d6 ⇒ 20 + (2) = 22
GM Sior
|
Borax does not recognize this one, so it's safe to assume it's a different skulk.
"Name's Kymeth. The Gilded Hands are the ones in charge. I just work with 'em to get some odd jobs done. We do what they want, they give us what we want, everyone wins. Don't know 'bout no plot, though."
Zinkyudo notices nothing special about the room as the others talk to the skulk.
GM Sior
|
"If I knew where they kept the shiver, do you think I'd do their dirty work? And why would they trust me with their funds? Not that I want money, just the shiver."
Teric Cain
|
"Ah, yes, the shiver. Are all your people so addicted? Or is this something that has been a recent introduction?"
"What else do you know about this place? Perhaps they store the drug here."

Torg Ice-Breaker
|
"That's racist, Teric. This is one of the same ones we ran in to earlier." Torg leans in and squints at the skulk. "I think. Skulks all look the same to me."
Castiel Graveclaw
|
"So what have they asked you to do lately. Do tell us, I believe Betsy here is still hungry.
Mind you we could always ask this little fellow here if you are not talkative enough." Castiel says as he nudges the unconscious Ferdy with his hammer.
GM Sior
|
"Shiver's been a part of our lives for as long as anyone can remember. And I know for a fact it's not up here in the warehouse. That's what I do every night, walk the warehouse to make sure everything's in order and no one gets in.
"I also coordinate between the Gilded Hands and the skulks. Rough up this person, get info on that, nothin' too serious, just enough to get the payment. ...Oh, I'm sorry, do you want me to say I'm the leader here that you threaten my life unless I lie to you?"
Teric Cain
|
Teric rolls his eyes at Torg's accusation. He presses on with the skulk. "We don't want you to claim any falsehoods. We want to understand the operation here. So you're the watchman for this place? Perhaps you can show us around then. Are there more offices and such? Or are there others still working here?"
Zinkyudo
|
Zinkyudo can't help but chuckle at Torg's comment. He calls Teric a racist, then says the skulks all look the same! These humans are all alike.
Frustrated that all they've found is another skulk ignorant of what's really going on, Zinkyudo moves back across the warehouse space to the small room off Ferdy's office, to investigate the other door there. He takes a careful look at the door and listens at it, then opens it.
Checking out door to the west of D3, assuming the obscuring mist is gone by now.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
GM Sior

The skulk just sort of blinks blankly at Teric. "Did I slip into undercommon or are you just not understanding me? I watch over the warehouse. The offices are non'a my business. And I only go out at night when everyone else is off. Only time I see someone else is when Monchello contacts me for a job."
Meanwhile, across the warehouse, Zinkyudo notices nothing about the door nor does he hear anything beyond it. Opening it, he sees boxes and boxes of old files and papers stacked in one corner of the room, opposite a half-dozen brooms and other cleaning supplies. He also notices that one corner of the room is clear of clutter and dust. Checking closer, he sees that it is a commonly used trap-door.

Zinkyudo examines the trap door for any surprises, then steps to the doorway of the little room he's in and calls to the others. "Hey gang! Found a trapdoor, looks like it gets pretty regular use. Leave that guy alone and come check it out with me."

Borax tries to recall what he knows of Monchello.
K. Local (G10)=21 + 1d6 ⇒ 6
"Leave this 'guy' alone? Are you daft. We must tie him up and then turn him over to the sheriff."
Whispering to Teric,
"Zinkyudo has the attention span of an adolescent."
GM Sior
|
Borax is remembering that Borvius Monchello is the man you all fought last night, leader of this group of thieves.
The skulk, having nothing else to respond to, goes back to nibble on his food.
Zinkyudo
|
Zinkyudo joins in on the disdainful eye-rolling, muttering to himself, "The real story is probably through that trap door, and they want to focus on the small fry who knows nothing."
"Well tie him up already!" he calls out, "Let's go find some real answers before the bad guys get away!"
Borax Bulan
|
Borax hurmphs at the monk,
"Yes, well....said bad guy will have no idea we are coming with all that yelling. I'm certain we'll find him perusing a delightful yarn in a comfortable fauteuil."
Zinkyudo
|
Zinkyudo isn't sure, but he thinks he hears a quiet hurmph from across the large room. "I expect if anyone is down there," he counters, "they heard the fight a few moments ago. You just let me know when you're all done with tying and talking and such, and I'll keep an eye on the trap door."
