The room is really not too interesting. The roof of the crypt has long since collapsed, revealing sodden earth above. It is from here that water slowly trickles in. Clearly it has been doing this for some time given the amount of flooding.

Both; after rest, everyone will go get some healing water again.
"This place w-with its f-frogs! What's wrong with th-this place?!" Kuran whimpers, slashing the frogs' bodies to pulp just in case. He scours around the room, desperately trying to find something of value or importance.

After another rest, you return to the water to gain its healing again. It is enough to restore everyone to full health!
Rejuvenated, you make your way towards the stench. The corridor opens up into a winding catacomb. The walls are skillfully carved with deep recesses where bodies might have once lain. All that remains now are cobwebs, dust, and the tattered remains of ancient clothing. The stench of rotting flesh is overpowering here, but the source is not evident.
Who's going in first?

Kuran goes first into the room, shield high up. He's not feeling any more confident than before, but he's been designated as the leader. Iomedae pray for him, lest he falls to be another victim of the dungeon.

He turns back to the hallway, hands tight on his bardiche. readied attack

![]() |

Well the idea always has been to lure the enemies to a chokepoint and let as many allies attack against one enemy at a time. This plan, again, has been foiled because people are too eager to run to the frontline to get killed.
Kuran waits. Delay. There's nothing he can do.

Out of combat!
Back in the room, the stench is still there. The exploded zombies hold nothing of note, but you do find something upon a cursory look about the room.
Sitting atop a large bloodstain, a pack holds some rotten rations, a map (detailing the area and pointing out the entrance to the crypt), a potion of cure moderate wounds, a pouch with 13 gp, and a small handbill of a type typically found posted in taverns. Although faded, the handbill clearly reads as a notice of employment, telling all those interested to meet at “The Ranger’s Lament.” The handbill does not mention a time, date, or who the employer might be.
To the south is a door leading further into the crypt.

"B-but I'm wounded. D-darren, could you take p-point? I fear t-this is not the last combat we're going to f-face in this death t-trap."
Before they move on, Kuran pockets the healing potion and the map for later use. The latter will be vital for their eventual escape, he hopes.

"Perhaps we should finish the top floor before going any deeper, yes."

"A-alright!" Kuran says, still feeling weak and wounded from the zombies' attack. Kuran goes over to the door in the same room with the deep pool, the one that hasn't been opened yet, and attempts to open it. Cautious as ever, he hold his shield up ready.

![]() |

Heading back in, Blossym heads to the west room with the key and fiddles with the lock on the door. It opens easily with the key found by the smoke shade.
This long corridor is flanked by a row of human statues, set into alcoves on each side. The statues look like Kassen, and each one holds a longsword out in front of it. The blades of roughly half the statues are wrapped in leather padding.
Kuran's keen eyes, are able to spot a pressure plate shortly before entering the room, which Blossym promptly disables.

DD: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
The party is now able to make their way through the hall which ends at another door.
Beyond it, you see that one half of this lofty chamber has a lowered floor, with stairs on either side to reach the bottom. Standing opposite the door is a tall wooden statue of Kassen grasping a gigantic wooden shield in each hand. One of the shields is inscribed with the word “home,” while the other reads “family.”
