Darren and Nijena ready their strikes when Kuran draws them back down the hallway.
Meanwhile, one skeleton slashes with claws at the swimming halfling! One claw scratches her a little, letting blood into the pool! "I hope there are no sharks in here!"
1 Blossym, 2 Kuran: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Claw on Blossym: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Claw on Blossym: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
I'm sorry, I have to do this because when else would one do this??
Another skeleton, unable to get at the adventurers, steps down and throws its sword at Blossym! Even awkward, it cuts into Blossym before sinking to the depths. The pain staggers the halfling!
Thrown scimitar: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 2 - 4 = 14 for 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
I can't believe that frikkin' worked!
Blossym treads water some more and is able to back away from the skeletons where none others can get to her. "That last one almost took me out. Don't worry about me! Save yourselves! Then come back for me! Think it's time I got a drink of that water!"

The skeleton falls to pieces! What's become of Blossym, though?
NOT out of combat. Kuran! (If you're here)

Oh, right!
Kuran runs past the others to the pit to see if he can't find Blossym. Her form is obscured by the murky waters!
1d20 ⇒ 11 1d6 ⇒ 2
1d20 + 1 - 3 ⇒ (17) + 1 - 3 = 15[/spoiler]
As Kuran looks, he sees Blossym surfacing! When she gets up, however, she is face down and limp. A very fresh slash decorates her body, though she seems to be stable.
It is a simple task to get her out of the pool.
Out of combat!

All that remains in the room is the flooded pit and the large wheel at the end of the hall.
Taking Blossym back to the fountain, you administer the water and she regains consciousness. With a start, she looks about, fighting fit once again. "Skeletons!" she cries. "There were more in the pit! I couldn't swim away! I... Am I dead?"
2d8 ⇒ (8, 7) = 15
Kuran Abrath
|
"N-no, you're not d-dead," Kuran says, shaking, "we b-better get you b-back to the f-fountain." With that, the tiefling begins to carry the halfling to the fountain to let her take a sip of healing water. Before entering the electric fungi cave, though, he lowers Blossym back to her feet, walks through the room to make sure it is safe, and then return to get the wounded halfling to much needed healing.
After that, he'll return to the skeleton chamber with Blossym.

was there anything else in this room?
"Shall we take that door to the north next?"

GM Sior
|
Just the wheel at the south end of the room with chains running out of sight into the.... ceiling or floor, whatever I said before, haha.
Kuran Abrath
|
Kuran comes over to the wheel and examines it to the best of his abilities. "N-no, Darren, one room at a time. Some evil ones could j-jump out from these pits if we are not c-careful."
Perception (take 20): 20 + 7 = 27
GM Sior
|
Kuran finds the bridge to get to the wheel and sees nothing peculiar. Actually, it looks like a gatehouse wheel, one used to raise a gate, drawbridge, or portcullis.

Kuran Abrath
|
"Better not t-touch this until we know what it might open..." Kuran says, "or... maybe it'll drain out all this water. Maybe. Be ready to r-run."
He starts turning the wheel, counter-clockwise.
If the wheel requires a strength check, take 20.
Kuran Abrath
|
Kuran tries to turn the wheel the other direction. If that does nothing, Kuran shrugs and nods to Darren. "Y-yeah, other room."
Is there a way to determine where the water is coming from? If the doors to the flooded room don't open, we'll move to the Stenchy direction.
GM Sior
|
Turning the wheel in the other direction yields immediate results as it moves the chain. After a few rotations, you hear a mechanism latch into place and the wheel stops moving.
Looking about, you see no indication of where the water is coming from. The only clue available to you is the dripping sound coming from the room with the jammed doors.
Darren the Daring

what effect did moving the chain have?
-Posted with Wayfinder
Kuran Abrath
|
"By t-this logic I just closed something," Kuran ponders out loud, "possibly a flood gate, o-or something like that."
The tiefling moves to the jammed door and does whatever it takes to open it. (Strength? Take 20 = 20. Or then have someone else, like Nijena, try strength on the door.)

Paizo ate my post!
The room is filled with water, probably as deep as the outside corridor. The chamber is in an advanced state of decay, with a gaping hole in the ceiling admitting a constant trickle of water.
The three stone sarcophagi in this room are almost completely covered in a thick carpet of moss and fungus. Atop the nearest sarcophagus is a man-sized frog.
He licks his froggy lips and, if it could speak, would ask Who ordered delivery?
I'm not at my laptop. Everyone please roll initiative.
