Zaxxeon |

Hello everyone, and thank you for having me on board GM Greenbottle :D
Hope to offer some assistance in scouting with Albion, the Eye - my Eidolon, and also some punch to keep our lines strong with Summons.

Zaxxeon |

Just need to finish up on my gear, and I'll be good to go

Delum Thord |

Delum Thord reporting, I look forward to testing ourselves against the horrors below. May we find redemption and glory within Dragon's Delve!
Thanks for the invite Seamus, I look forward to seeing you on the other side of the screen.

First, on post formatting:
Please use "quotation marks" in addition to the bold when your character is talking.
When in combat, please try to format your posts this way:
Describe what your character is doing without using game terms. Then, below that, please do the following.
Move Action: Move to A6
Standard Action: Attack with Earth breaker
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 6) + 6 = 16

Seamus Greenbottle |

The other thing for now:
Could you please add a spoiler for you basic stats in the "Race" section of your profile, and a "status" spoiler in the "Class" section of your profile?
The basic stats should include all three armor classes, saves, initiative, perception, and any circumstantial bonuses to these that might come up.
The status spoiler should included current HP (i.e. 12/24), spells available and spells used (i.e. 1st: 1/2), and any other limited use abilities your character has.
Does that all make sense?

Harrigan Ash |

Would you be alright with a status spoiler being added to the end of posts rather than in the header bar? I've found that having the spoiler in the posts helps both for reading back through and for any lurkers who might be reading along.
I have a cut/paste macro set up toward the bottom of Harrigan's profile if anyone's interested in replicating something similar. After being pasted, it looks like this:
HP: 26/26
AC: 17 (12 T / 15 FF)
CMD: 16
F/R/W: +4/+3/-1 (+2 to will while bloodraging)
Resists: Fire (5)
Bloodrage Rounds used: 0/6
Elemental Strikes used: 0/3
Volitile Conduit: [ ]
-Ongoing Effects-
none

Excellent, so provided Coyote makes an appearance in the near future, when do you expect we'll be getting underway?
I don't ask out of impatience, merely curiosity.

Xaeken |

Standing orders. Delum fights the big things. Xaeken fights the hordes of little things. Harrigan emits fiery murder on things as they run about in the chaos.
BEfore that happens Theodore color sprays the shit outta whatever it is, Zaxxeon swarms the board so we all can flank, and Deylor blesses us all before littering the area with blasting runes and general clerical trickery.
And I have no idea what the time thief does...but it makes it sound like Prince of Persia LOL...so I guess we rewind it all if we mess it up.
All kidding of course, I am excited to see what this group does though. Fun mix.

Seamus Greenbottle |

Sounds like an excellent battle plan to me!
I'm referring more to what you'll do when you approach a door (search for traps, listen at the door, kick it down without another thought, etc.) and what you'll generally do when you enter a room (Appraise check for the most valuable item, search for secret traps, guard the door, etc.).
I still haven't heard from Coyote, so I'll wait til 5pm today and then we'll get going without him.

Zaxxeon |

GM Seamus, I'll finish up on my gear in a couple of hours, and add the formatting as requested.
@Harrigan: Initially, I had intended to build a Rogue, heading the Arcane Trickster way - been wanting to try a character like that for a long time. But since there were multiple rogue applications, I decided to change routes and head towards Master Summoner.
Albion (My Eidolon) is built as a scout, and he really should be able to take up the part if necessary (or assist if someone else takes up that role) - He has a decent Disable Device skill, which should allow him to deal with mundane traps, but if I am correct, I don't think he will be able to handle magical traps - I think he is still able to detect them with Perception though.
Hehe Xaeken, I second that battle plan, though I am honestly not planning to swarm the combats with Summoned Creatures - I don't want to bog the game down.
As far as standing orders, Zaxxeon would be better placed somewhere in the middle of the group - he is ful caster, and even with double hp (need to adjust that also on my alias), he is VERY squishy (poor AC and hit points).
Albion is definitely supposed to scout - it is a risk, but he is well aware of it :D On the other hand, his contribution in combat will be far from anything decent, so I am guessing he is staying out of it almost 100% of the time.

Xaeken |

I don't have the best or the worst AC in the world but I have perception as a class skill (but regular sight) and I do have a lot of weapons so I should probably be near the front if not the front of the line.
I'm curious about light sources. I have torches but if we have two casters that I can see who memorize it then we can enchant one of my weapons...plus Delum has "my light" which I'm not 100 percent sure how well that works for anyone else as far as his gaze shifting about.
@Seamus: Would a torch be an improvised weapon or basically just a simple club? I'm curious about if I am carrying it then trying to use it in a flurry...

Harrigan Ash |

Would a torch be an improvised weapon or basically just a simple club?
It's actually right in the description, torches are treated as one-handed improvised weapons that deal damage equivalent to a gauntlet (plus 1 fire damage if it's also lit).

Deylar Tiarshuro |

Ah, to have darkvision and be above such concerns........
Lots of very cool characters here, going to be a lot of fun! Definitely some opportunity to coordinate efforts/spells/etc as we get ready to hit the tunnels.
Im fairly lightly armored also so probably need to be in the middle - a very mage-like STR 8 means that even the lightest armors drop me down to 20' movement which I was trying to avoid. Here's hoping for bracers/rings nice and early!!
@Seamus: can't say Im that familiar with dungeonaday, any thoughts or ideas around retraining/downtime? You know, in case we need to retrain some of our levels so we have a trapfinder???

Xaeken |

Xaeken wrote:Would a torch be an improvised weapon or basically just a simple club? It's actually right in the description, torches are treated as one-handed improvised weapons that deal damage equivalent to a gauntlet (plus 1 fire damage if it's also lit).
IT IS?
Hah. Guess that goes to show how long it is since I looked at the basic equipment section of the book LOL Thinking on it now I don't think I've looked at that entry in PFCB ever...learn something new everyday. I am so tickled by this.

Delum Thord |

As far as light sources go I'm fairly certain you're correct and My Light has pretty limited functionality for the rest of you. I just don't want to get caught alone in the dark :P
But between Zaxxeon and Theodore I think we should be fine. One of Xaeken's weapons is a good candidate and we should have at least one other light source among the party.
As far as attack plans go, I'm actually pretty handy against the hords of little things with my reach.
When we come to a door, I'd imagine we'll want Albion to go a little ahead and look for traps/listen at the door. Then we move up, I'll Expand myself, then I'd prefer if we pause for a round while I regain my Psionic Focus before we breach.
On a side note, I'm considering swapping out Catfall as my first power and waiting until 2nd level to grab it. Would that be a problem Seamus?

Seamus Greenbottle |

@Deylar You won't be spending much time outside of the dungeon. There is a town (Brindenford), but I want this campaign to focus on the dungeon as much as possible. That being said, I'm willing to work with people that want to change things up.
@Delum on that note, you are certainly allowed to change things like that for now!

Deylar Tiarshuro |

Very cool, thanks. I started thinking about crafting items, which lead me to the crafting feats, which lead me to rethinking my 1st level feat BUT not wanting to change it now since I don't qualify for Craft wondrous Items.....yes, Im that excited about this campaign and getting just getting a WEE bit ahead of myself!
And yay, ninja'ed by the gameplay thread!

Delum Thord |

So what do we all think for a marching order? Albion will naturally be traveling ahead most times. I'm willing to head up the group proper but I feel like Harrington might be a better choice as he has considerably more HP than myself.

Delum Thord |

Alright Xaeken, If you're set to be our rearguard I'll take position behind Harrigan and then the squishier 4 in between you and me? Sound good everyone?

Coyote Tawa |

Please use "quotation marks" in addition to the bold when your character is talking.
Thank Goodness for that!

Delum Thord |

We should probably try to keep the purely ooc comments over here to keep the gameplay tidy. But yes, I mean the secret door down the short hallway. I'm working on the theory that it might bring us up behind whatever is making noise at the other doors.

Zaxxeon |

Agreed Delum - keep in mind that door has not been checked for traps - was giving a chance for Coyote to post before sending Albion in again ;)

Delum Thord |

I'm curious, is the block initiative just to help keep track of things? Or is it first come, first serve within your block as I have seen done elsewhere?
