Jibril Carver
were all the skeletons killed? There seem to have been three killed but the previous posts mark the number as "several".
Khere
Crap! I don't know what to do! As long as the swarm fails it's will save and I don't attack them I can heal y'all. But as soon as I attack or they succeed their will save, well it's been a long day at work. :( Any suggestions?
Hajar nar Jundi; Osiris' Chosen
I Can Eventually kill it so danger isnt a thing, what you could do is heal those who get too hurt by it once it starts attacking.
Hajar nar Jundi; Osiris' Chosen
I don't need to, its a swarm, I don't know anything more than it being a swarm. And thus needs to be blasted. She was letting you keep that roll because she was letting you keep the charge on the wand. Swarms are pretty much AOE or get out.
Khere
Okay healing I will do! Um...who has taken the most damage? Been busy today with errands
GM Redelia
Khere, no one has been hurt yet. If you want, you could delay until just after the swarm to repair what it does.
Malik's wand charge appears to hurt the swarm, but barely. Swarms in Pathfinder are far more of a nuisance than anything has a right to be, so I house rule that non-AOE magic spells that do damage do half on a swarm. It makes it so more players can do something against a swarm without losing the idea of a swarm. In the same way, a flaming weapon could be used on a swarm that wasn't immune to fire. The physical damage wouldn't take, but half the fire damage would.
Khere
Yep. Sounds like a plan
Jibril Carver
Sorry, major traffic (and Internet) problems near me at the moment. Last two days have taken me 3 hours to do what is normally a 45 minute drive. I'd explain why but it would get political.
Knowledge/Dungeoneering: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
GM Redelia
Jibril shares his knowledge with the others. i.e. you may all read the spoilers
Jibril and Khere delay until after the swarm.
The swarm moves forward and surrounds Jibril, climbing all over him.
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
save disease: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
save distraction: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
So Jibril takes 2 damage and is nauseated.
Entire party is up.
Hajar nar Jundi; Osiris' Chosen
Righto
Hajar steps back the impressions left in the ground rising up and swirling into a torrent of sand which whips around at an accelerated speed. it reaches out to scour the insects from around Jibril and shear away their carapace to crush them from the inside out.
" Sands I command you, do my bidding. "
Kinetic Blast (Bludgeoning): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Jeggare Crook
"Forgive me Jibril but I must burn them." Jeggare says, and throws a flask of Alchemist's Fire.
Touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
...Balls.
GM Redelia
If you look at the map, it might make more sense. The swarm was 10x10, with reach of 0 feet. On its turn, it moved into Jibril's space, and used its swarm attack on him. The other three of you were all within 5 ft of Jibril, but were not under the swarm, so it did not damage you. However, now that I look more carefully at the map, Braydir would have been shielded by a wall. You were throwing through a doorway, so the splash would have hit you. I assumed you threw at the part of the swarm in the square closest to you. We can change that if you want.
Sundakan
I didn't even know we had a map before now. Whoops. Anywho, I would have thrown it in such a way that it hurts the least number of people. Looks like I could easily narrow that down to Jibril snd Morhamis alone. Not a big deal in this case specifically, but I would hope you'd realize I wouldn't want to drop a Fireball at my feet and nuke the whole party when there's other options too. =)
GM Redelia
Yeah, if it was a substantial number of hit points or anyone was in serious danger, I either would have asked you which square or else assumed something reasonable.
The next room that Morharis and Jibril investigate appears to have been a pantry. You see the ruined remains of shelves and food littering the floor around the edges. There is also a very large bug (mechanically size small) in the middle of the floor.
Braydir: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Hajar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Jeggare: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Jibril: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Khere: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Malik: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Morharis: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
bug: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Whole party is up before the bug.
Khere
Are we actively searching for treasure as we clear these rooms, or are these encounters happening one after another as they're in close proximity to each other?
Khere sighs in relief when the swarm is dead although he feels a bit disappointed that he was not able to help his companions. He also felt bad that the skeletons they had just destroyed were not given proper burials. "Probably why they rose as the undead. I'll have to make sure they get a proper burial so their souls can finally rest in peace."
When a new insect appeared, the aasimar grinned and began to swing his flail around.
"Move aside my friends. It is time that I give my flail a taste of battle," he softly said remembering his own warnings to be as quiet as possible so as not to draw attention from the other denizens of this haunted place.
Hajar nar Jundi; Osiris' Chosen
Hajar quickly reacted, seeing anoth bug though this a singular entity, forming the sand into an oblong disk with razorsharp edging that launches towards the creature.

Braydir Thornak
Braydir frowns at the scorched tips of his beard. He points to Jegarre and says, "I'll let that one go. Please try ta avoid from scorchin' yer companions in tha future if at all possible. Gabriel was in nae danger from a few tiny spiders!"
When the new threat is discovered, the warhammer is still in his hands and he swings but takes a terrible approach and doesn't even come close to reaching this bug.
Attttaacck: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Uh, just kidding.
GM Redelia
Hajar's blast almost goes past the bug, but the bug is clearly badly hurt.
Braydir swings at the bug, but almost falls over. I moved your token to melee range, in such a way as to allow others easy access.
To answer your question, Khere, unless you guys say otherwise, I'm giving you passive take 10 perception checks to find stuff. If you want to search more carefully, you need to say something. I find that this is just necesssary to keep the game from bogging down.
Khere
Ah okay. After this battle I think we need to search around a bit in order to see if there is any treasure.
Khere quickly headed towards the vermin and swinging his flail at it.
Flail Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Flail Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Confirm Critical?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Critical damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
GM Redelia
Khere's flail slams hard into the big bug. You hear a cracking noise as it hits. The bug wobbles a minute, but does not go down. It's obviously very badly hurt.
Now waiting on Jeggare, Malik, Jibril, and Morharis. One of you can still get in close enough for melee attack easily. Malik, don't forget magic missile ignores things like partial cover and has no penalties to attack into melee.
You may assume that Jibril passed the knowledge checks above and shared the results with you.
Jeggare Crook
Well, if nobody else is going to take it...
Jeggare steps in and slams an armored palm down on the bug.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Or, tries to.
GM Redelia
Malik's pellet of magic hits the bug in the head, caving in its head.
You look around, but find nothing of value in this old pantry.
Where next guys? Into the main building through the door in the pantry, into the main building through one of the east doors, into the main building through the south door, or explore the west grounds?
Khere
Khere looks around the area seeing if he can find anything.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
He asked the others to help him out.
Hajar nar Jundi; Osiris' Chosen
Hajar peered around and then spoke slowly, " We should move into the main building at this juncture. Likely there are worse that need be removed from the premises. "
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Braydir Thornak
Braydir looks around as well, looking for signs of upcoming trouble. He concurs with Hajar with a brief nod of his head. "Right. Let's be movin'."
Braydir moves in the indicated direction, checking for trouble.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
Morharis Neptamu
Morharis keeps his eyes peeled for any valuables, slightly disappointed in the lack thereof so far.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Braydir Thornak
Always go to the closest unless you are following the 'always go left' first policy!
Braydir slowly opens the closest door and takes study of the room.
Take 20+9=29 on Perception.
GM Redelia
Morharis checks the door for Braydir, and then motions that it is safe to open. Braydir opens the door to find a kitchen.
Two stone tables sit against the western wall of this room,
while a third occupies the southeastern corner. A small, square
wooden butcher’s block stands in the northeast corner, now
almost collapsing under its own weight. A stone oven sits in the
middle of the north wall. A humanoid skeleton lies beneath the
northwestern table, surrounded by smashed crockery. A door to
the east and an open doorway to the south exit the room.
Braydir stands in the open doorway, looking around carefully. He notices that the skeleton under the table has a dagger sticking out of its ribs.
Braydir is standing in the doorway. I know his token makes the stairs and door hard to see.
Braydir Thornak
The dwarf relays the information about the dagger in the skeleton to his teammates before moving into to check it further.
