Elkin Stormborn
Sorry, had a migraine yesterday and couldn't post. I'm posting this message in all of my games and circling back around to catch up. Give me up to a couple of hours to catch up; thanks!
GM Red Box
If you claim things in the loot sheet I will work out available gold OR someone can take control of the loot sheet. :)
Seriously, mark what you are keeping and I will let you know,
Vedia Merenda
It looks like we have a Unclaimed Cloak of Resistance +1 on the loot sheet. Who wants it?
Also we have an unidentifed belt.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
Elkin Stormborn
Elkin currently wears a cloak +1 himself. If someone doesn't claim this one, we should sell it.
If nobody else wants the ring of the ram, I think Elkin can make use of it.
We should sell off all the loot that is otherwise unclaimed. Elkin currently has 2600 gp, and is trying to save up 6000 for a cackling hag's blouse.
GM Red Box
The belt is a Belt of Dex +2, loot sheet has been updated.
Please mark the loot sheet with what you would like, I will sell tomorrow around this time.
Elkin Stormborn
We should make sure to keep the wand of cure moderate and the +1 human-bane arrows.
If nobody else wants it, Elkin wouldn't mind the extra AC from the belt, but he also has no real class features that depend on Dex, so it should probably go to someone who makes more use of Dex, if possible.

I will take the dex belt if no one else can make better use of it. Let me know.
Vedia Merenda
I can use dex to get my rays through better. Uron do you have class abilities that can use it as well?
Uronzeer Urdhaqu

Uncanny Dodge retains dex bonus when flatfooted but thats the only one. You have a much better use for it Vedia.
I wrote HOLD next to several items that I thought we do not want to sell. Mostly the tech stuff that is only in this campaign and potions.
GM Red Box
OK the items that were unclaimed, and clearly would not be claimed, have been sold.
The part has 13416gp available in total.
Things that have been mentioned for purchase: [list]
Depending on how you are dividing loot all of these would be available. For the armor basic enchantments are also available if desired and affordable.
Xandar Coulsong
I like the way finder Ioun stone to come later.
Does any of you know of ways to improve my archery? I think I might have built Xandar wrong for it to really work once we get higher and retraining takes a great many days.
GM Red Box
Here is a little discussion on the topic of bard/archers.
If you want to make some changes I am sure we can do them without the time commitment. It is better you are happy with your character.
Augar Battlehammer

Well, I am also in search of something to boost my Cha and Wisdom, but hopefully get the chance to craft more stuff here on my next level. Until then I'll take a masterwork half-plate and Heavy Steel Shield.
I'll sell my Masterwork Breastplate, Wooden Shield, Battleaxe, and Warhammer. Keeping the +1 Battle Axe and MW Adamantine Warhammer
Xandar Coulsong
That post all seem to agree a bard should start at 16-18 dex and I only have 14. It's a bit low for the main stat of a 3/4th bab class.
I'll have to think about it, but I don't mind paying for removing my archetype and be classic bard. I would then be able to aim at using the Divine Fighting Technique of Desna using my cha for hit and damage with a starknife. I will have to find a good way to get starknife profenciency most likely form a dip into something.
Vedia Merenda
@Xander: You could dip into a Warpriest of Desna. That would give you the Starknife proficiency, and weapon focus starknife at first level. Since we're up against some kind of weird diety that could make sense for your character.
Xandar Coulsong
It won't be much healing I think to only dip 1 level as I like to keep my performance and spells as good as possible.
I'm looking at the warpriest and cardinal cleric at the moment
Elkin Stormborn
Does anyone mind if Elkin purchases a cackling hag's blouse out of the group funds? It will improve his action economy, giving him a swift-action Cackle twice a day, allowing him to extend Misfortune and Evil Eye without using the normal move action.
Vedia Merenda
I'm trying to get my hands on Crafters Fortune which will help with the crafting Augar.
I don't mind that the blouse comes out of the party funds. It's good for the party. :)
Vedia Merenda
The roll was high enough I have the scroll. I'll need funds and time to scribe them in to my spellbook, and then we can have some epic crafting parties.
Xandar Coulsong
@GM
Am I going to pay anything and how much for removing my archetype? I'd like to do it and focus on skills and support magic for the time being and take a level dip some times after 7th level.
GM Red Box
I will not penalize you. These games go for years and better to be happy with your character. Make the changes you would like and let me review.
Xandar Coulsong
I have removed my archetype and added the stuff I lost to the archetype,
added saving finale and heroism to my spells known
I haven't changed feat, currently not sure if I'm going to need point blank shot and arcane strike later, but might change them for prodigy and flagbearer.
GM Red Box
Sounds good. We have been at this over a year and are just getting to the final part of book 2. You have to be happy with your character.

Wow, what a build up. Zeer got all...
Elkin Stormborn
Kind of feels un-intuitive that the lighting shot could be lined up so well since you could not see where they were. I am justifying it as they are still close enough to where you last saw them that you took a guess.
Fair point. That actually gets to the heart of why I've always struggled with the obscuring mist class of spells. Widely considered to be some of the most powerful spells, they always seem troublesome to me because they ultimately hamper your own party in the same way that they hurt your foes.
GM Red Box
With the advent of things like roll20, with its dynamic lighting, I have started to think about these things differently. I use to just shrug my shoulders and say "magic" but it really doesn't work well. In this case particularly as it clearly says even dark-vision doesn't work.
In the same way I would encourage to take your token off the board if you were invisible, I would trust you.

Ivar Stonewrought wrote:Craps, I always forget about Inspire Courage. Thanks for the reminder....and I've just realized that I forgot to account for it on my last turn. *grumble grumble*
Something that I've seen done--and that I intend to do when I start GMing--is to include a status summary with each round.
@GM, it would look something like this:
Bold may act
Round 3
Status: Inspire Courage +2, haste
Helskarg {-11hp}, Pink {-17hp | Shaken 1/2}, Blue {-11hp | {Shaken 1/2}
James, Vedia {2/2 Mirror Image}, Ivar {-12hp}, Elkin, Xander {4/4 Mirror Image}, Augar, Uronzeer
GM Red Box
Oh that is a good idea. I will try and start doing that with the next combat.
Thank you. I am always looking for ways to be more efficient and clear in my posts.
GM Red Box
Ivar's most recent post brings up a good point. I try and be as complete as possible but, as a post can take me up to an hour during combat, I cannot hunt around for each characters buffs or special weapons qualities.
In an effort to make things simpler I am going to start adding a footer to all of my posts, even not in combat. I will pull the AC info form your stat block each turn. This block can also be found in an editable form on the Tactical Maps page that contains the other roll templates.
Again I will start this after this combat once everyone's health is settled.

I like the footer, especially if it makes things easier for you.
Have some big news to announce though, I'm going to be a dad! My wife and I are having a baby due Nov 25th.

Nice! Welcome to the club my friend.
