Since she knows Yasu has an arrow ready for any goblin he spots, Laufey ignores the visible goblin when she sprints forward. She rounds the corner and find another goblin directly in front of her. She brings her sword down at it.

Yasu's readied arrow springs forth from the bow, impaling the visible Goblin as he calls for aid. The goblin immediately slumps to the floor. Dead

Laufey rushes forward and turns the corner, striking at the next goblin. Unfortunately she is unable to check her momentum, and the sword clangs off the wall.

Rasmorn moves down the hall, but stops before rounding the corner. In these tight quarters, best to stay out of the way and let the others move in...

Too far away to do anything useful this round, and don't want to block anyone else. At this point, I can't cast grease without catching Laufey in the area, and with only two goblins not sure it's worth it anyway.

Since her initiative was before Laufey's I believe that means I'm not shooting into melee? If not take 4 off the shot.

White was actually taken out by Yasu - I've moved you and targeted Pink instead.

Talia moves forward and looses a crossbow bolt into the goblin furthest back as Laufey rushes by, and Rasmorn moves further into the hallway, staying clear of the others and allowing them to get into position.

Laufey pulls back, her sword ringing from it's meeting with the wall. As she does so she takes a nick on her forearm. It's minor and she ignores it as she thrusts forward, hoping to catch the goblin in a similarly extended position.

Rasmorn bounces anxiously around, watching the action in the crowded hallway. Finally he comes up with a plan, and darts forward. He pulls a little smidge of butter out of his spell component pouch, gestures forward, and speaks an arcane phrase. As he does, the ground under the goblins becomes coated in a slick layer of grease.

Casting Grease in a square that just barely includes the goblins, but not Laufey. DC15 Ref save or fall over.


Sorry for the absence, things have been rather hectic at times. Isabella, are you taking any action?

Since I don't have a missile weapon readied, no, I'm waiting for the melee fighters to move up before I go with them.


Okay. Talia is at 3 HP, if that helps at all.

Laufey and Talia continue their attempts at slaying the Goblins but both end up being ineffectual. The nature of the hallway made it difficult for Yasu to close on the goblins further, and he found himself unable to assist. Rasmorn, bouncing anxiously, takes out some butter and casts a spell, coating the ground under the goblins in an area of grease. Marked off the greased area.

As the grease appears beneath the goblins, their footing slides a bit, but neither falls. Fortunately, the grease puts the one in front of Laufey off-balance enough that his strike of the dogslicer misses her completely.

The other looks at Talia with a menacing look and raises his dogslicer as he prepares to step forward. The menacing image is the ruined as the goblin's foot slips and he falls down onto his back. The goblin gets up AoO to Laufey and attempts to advance towards the rogue before again slipping and face planting in the grease. This time, he does not get up so easily and seems to slip and wallow around in the grease.

The party is up! Laufey, you get your attack of opportunity on Maroon for his standing up in your threatened area.

Laufey takes a fast swipe at the goblin as he stands, hardly even glances his direction. She keeps her attention focused on the one in front of her.

Isabella sends a healing wave over the group, as Laufey strikes at the goblin on his first attempt at standing, cutting him deeply but not quite taking him out.

Rasmorn fires a blob of acid at one of the goblins (pinky), but it splatters into the wall behind it instead. The pale gnome moves backward quickly, clearing a path for anyone else.

Laufey brings her sword back to center and strikes at the goblin Red she's been fighting to little effect either way for a while now.

Laufey strikes out with her sword, cutting down the goblin before her. Only one goblin remains, wallowing on the floor in grease.

Laufey returns to the last goblin and strikes down on him.

As the final goblin again attempts to stand, Laufey strikes him down, finishing the crazed thing. You stand in the basement of the Glassworks, three goblins dead before you - and still no sign of Ameiko Kaijitsu.

With a wave of his little hand, Rasmorn dismisses the greased area of the floor. "How unpleasant. I hope Ameiko is OK. We should press on." The gnome looks around at the various boxes quickly, looking for anything of interest.

Isabella lets out a breath. "This is awful. Goblins attacking people's homes like this... always do terrible things."

She nudges one of the felled goblins with a toe as she puts her falchion away. "I wonder which tribe these were from? I guess it doesn't matter. But there are so many goblins in the woods all around Sandpoint... you'd think anyone living here would know better than to let them in like this! Someone must've had a real grudge against our town." She looks aggrieved and sad, unable to reconcile how someone could be that vicious.

"I wonder if the target was all of Sandpoint, or if Ameiko was the real target?"


With the goblins dead, you see that the basement of the Glassworks is smaller than the facility above. You can see a hallway off to the left ahead of you, and of course the hallway split the same way when you descended the stairs. You suspect that the two ends might meet, once you decide which way to go.

It's two left turns - one by the stairs, and the other further down along the top hallway. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

I'm guessing they meant right from their current position on the map, which is next to the stairs - so 'right' would be toward the downed goblins. Seems like a good choice to me.

Rasmorn nods along with the others. "Those goblins were hiding along this path, it seems a good way to go" he says, pointing further down the hall where the goblins were.

"He probably does know better, which is why he did it."

Laufey takes her place behind Talia again and follows her.


As you walk down the hallway you notice that after about 25 feet or so, it swings to the left. Along the right-hand wall are two doors.

Talia checks both doors, finding neither to be trapped, however, the door in the intersection of two hallways is locked. (The bottom door on the map) She also notices that around the corner are two more doors.

You think you hear breathing behind the locked door, but you aren't sure.

Isabella creeps along a short distance behind Talia, giving her room to work. She nibbles on her lower lip as Talia checks the doors and looks worried when they are revealed as locked, but she remains quiet so as not to break concentration or give away the team's position.

Talia signals to the others that there is someone behind the locked door. When they are ready she unlocks it.

Talia unlocks and opens the door. Within, she sees Ameiko lying on her side, tied up with strips of leather. She's conscious, but she's clearly been beaten and in very bad shape. She looks relieved when she sees that it's you opening the door.

Isabella pushes into the room once she spots Ameiko. She quickly moves to untie Ameiko and heal her wounds.

Knowing the others will be preoccupied with Ameiko, Laufey make sure she is not. She moves out of the hall but remains in the doorway. She continues to check the hall for anything approaching, her sword held at a low guard.

As Isabella rushes forward, healing and untying Ameiko, the innkeeper says, "Thank Desna you're here! I thought you might be more goblins. I received a note from my brother, Tsuto, written in Minkai. He said that he had evidence our father might have been involved in the goblin raid, and didn't trust the authorities. He asked me to meet him here, but when I arrived, I found him with all these goblins! He told me that big things were coming that would make the raid on Sandpoint look small, and that he and some other mercenaries were working for Nualia. Nualia! She died in the fire that burned the chapel five years ago, but apparently she's still alive and planning to destroy Sandpoint! I'm worried what Tsuto will do to my father. I have to warn him!"

As she explains this, you all hear a creak of a door behind you. Turning, you find a half-Elven half-Minkaian man attempting to sneak out of a room about two doors down. As he sees you looking, he throws the door open and prepares to run.

Initiative will be rolled later this afternoon, and the map will be updated then as well.
