Maru loads her crossbow and tries to aim at one of the rats, but barely manages to avoid hitting Endor. "Gah! Sorry! First time shooting this thing!"

I think I got a bit behind my apologies. My last post (not including for the AOO) was for the round before if I'm reading correctly.
Endor Jumps back from the maw of the rat and attempts to strike it down.
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Hoping to the next crate I assume will provoke an aoo.

Taariik's and Maru's bolts goes wide. Endor and Patros exterminate the last two rodents with deadly skill. Meanwhile Ito and Goliath fall through the rotting boards, taking the crate long with them. Luckily, Maru's phantom pulls up the skiff beneath the warehouse, safely catching the horse, gnome and crate.
The rescued crate holds a smaller mahogany box inside, which contains five books and a few loose sheets of paper in a leather folder. The titles and subjects seem completely unrelated to each other: Practical Thaumaturgy In Accordance with Creation, Geographic Anomalies of the Inner Sea, Under Kaer Maga: A Trial and Travel, Physiology of Dragons: An Illustrated Reference, Lost Sarusan. The leather folder contains cargo manifestos, warehouse inventories, and other financial logs from a dozen different merchant houses and trade guilds. The crate also contains 10 sets of masterwork thieves’ tools, three flasks of alchemist’s fire, a flask of acid, a dozen jars of various inks, a footprint book, adamantine weapon blanch, three bags of powder, a deck of marked cards, and two sets of average loaded dice.
Gathering the books Guaril requested (and any other items you want) you bring them back to him at his curio shop, where he congratulates you on the success of your task and rewards each member of your party with 111 gp.

Two arms and 6 legs flailing Ito and Goliath fall into the small boat that Dante is bringing below. Ito spends a moment calming Goliath so as not to capsize the boat, then sits comfortable as the phantom takes the vessel to a landing point.
When he reaches the party he leaps out of the boat and encourages Goliath to step out also. That was fun, wasn't it?

Back on the streets in very short order, you have plenty of time to return to the Grand Lodge. But very soon, you realize that the tail you've spotted occasionally throughout the day has found you again, and this time he makes no effort to conceal himself, planting his feet in the middle of a narrow street ahead of you. You also notice that he's gathered a few companions to back him up, and they don't look friendly...
The man who’s been following you draws aside his cloak to reveal a chain shirt underneath and unsheathed rapier in hand. Standing with him are three others. A young woman, lithe, with dark hair hanging in ringlets that just brush her shoulders wearing a long skirt, embroidered with silver and black thread and a high-necked woolen blouse. An exotic Tian woman with blue eyes and an open smiling face, wearing a well-made, green silk dress in the most current fashion and a shimmering black scarf draped across her shoulders. Last, and least, is a strange muscled Halfling with a handlebar moustache and a crazed gleam in his eyes.
With a grin, your stalker talks over his shoulder to young dark haired woman. “Here they are Deandre, just like I said they’d be.” The young woman doesn’t immediately appear a threat, but as she speaks, her role as leader of this rough crew becomes clear. “Yes, Larkin, I have eyes. But you haven’t proven your worth yet.” Gesturing to the Tian woman and the Halfling, she says. “Go with Hallis and Ledford, and get me their Pathfinder gold and trinkets.” She then turns her pale face to your group and calls out. “Go ahead and resist if you like. Norgorber likes a little blood on his loot.”

Deandre 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Dante was still around so I added an icon for him. He never went back into Maru's head.
Maru doesn't like the look in the halfling's eyes.
"Your soul is forfeit!" she shouts at him, stepping forward and casting a spell to attack his mind.
Cause fear. DC 15 will save or be frightened. If he saves, he's still shaken for 1 round.
Captain Dante glides forward and waves his scimitar threateningly. "Come on boys... let's dance!" he says, tears still falling freely from his eyes.
Readied action to attack any character who steps forward, or the lady if she attacks or casts a spell.
slam: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 If this is against the halfling who will be shaken, this is +2 more.
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 +2 more if this is against the halfling.
Any creature hit by the phantom's slam attack must make a DC 11 Will save or be afflicted by misery, causing -2 to attack and damage for 1 round.

GM Pathmaker |

"What the hell are you?!" the halfling flinches from Dante's slam but unaffected by fear or misery, he then swings his greataxe, "i'm sure I don't care!". Maru's phantom disintegrates instantly from the powerful blow.

He's still shaken, unless he's immune to fear, so the attack should be at a -2. That will bring it to a 13 and a miss.

Ito ride up and jabs at Deandre with his lance from atop Goliath.

Maru draws and loads her crossbow, and steps back to get a bit of cover from the corner of the house.
Dante swings his sword at Ledford, then steps to his side and tries to hit Dandre with his hook. Both slams, just giving them some flavor.
slam: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
if that hits Deandre, she needs to make a DC 11 will save or take a -2 to attack and damage for 1 round.
By the way, GM, if the phantom goes below 0, it doesn't immediately vanish like a summoned creature. It goes unconscious and doesn't get sent back to the Ethereal plane until it takes damage equal to its constitution score past its HP, like most living creatures.

I moved your icon for you. I've heard the slides app from Google lets you move things even on mobile, by the way.

"This is outrageous!! This is unlawful!"
GM, is Larkin standing on the roof or is this a legal field? I want to move above Ito.

GM Pathmaker |

Endor heads into the fray with his spear. Patros blesses the group and Taariik shouts his resentments. Maru readies her crossbow as Dante's cutlass goes wide and his hook hits Deandre's invisible force field.
Ledford takes a mighty swing at Dante again, and the phantom is now unconscious.

Ito's lance drives into the raging gnome.

Taariik does not have enough movement to reach the spot on round 1 and cast Color Spray. Although you did not describe it, he either double moved last round to behind Dante, or moved to behind Patros with a different action. He is also would have been firing into an ally again. Ruling: Taariik's Color Spray can go off on Round 2, after Patros and Endor acts. Let me know if you want to reneg or keep, then I'll roll the saves.

![]() |

Such a crowded field of battle. Almost anyone she can shoot at is at an effective -8 due to shooting into melee and soft cover, and even Larkin is at a -4.
Maru tosses a flask of ectoplasmic residue at larkin on the roof.
ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 3 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 3 - 4 + 1 = 13
Ectoplasmic residue is a splash weapon that does no damage, but Larkin has to make a DC 13 Will Save or be shaken for 1d4 ⇒ 2 rounds. Not sure if you think Taarik will get splashed considering that he's down on the ground and Larkin's up high. If so, he will need to make a DC 13 Will save or be shaken for 1 round.

So sorry! First time playing with 20 ft. movement! ;-) Always played halflings with the trait that increases movement. Then he double moves. Thanks
