243 tonight. pigged out a little this weekend. GMed the home game for 15 hours Saturday and ate like the world was going to end any minute.
This week should be better. down 13 from start.

15 hours!? That's a long game session!

*edit* For those of you who may or may not be awaiting responses to PMs and might be going, "Y U NO REPLY!?AHFLDHFKDHFDK" - tomorrow :)

Male Probably human Computer Scientist 1/ Character Synthesizer 20/ Crazy 99

Take your time. I was just sending those so I didn't forget to.

Also, I am looking forward to what the others think of Joanna's plan when it comes up in game.

Heck for that matter, I'm looking forward to seeing how they react to Jo's sisters. :D

Nice job, Lady.
I should have weighed in last night, but didn't. I'll do it tonight (for better or worse)

Thanks!

And I'm glad you guys are still hanging in there, as tough as it might be at times.

male human bard 6/drunken philosopher 1

Chicken wings are so good....

^You and my husband would get along famously.

But I can't talk because I can think of all sorts of things that I have to just not buy when I grocery shop because I can't eat them responsibly.

male human bard 6/drunken philosopher 1

We'll be in Virginia beach in October. How far is that from you? Close enough for a double date?

Alas, that's about a 10 to 12 hour drive depending on the route so just a little bit too far! I'm about halfway between Nashville and Knoxville so if you guys ever happen to wander a little closer to either of those places, let me know :3

male human bard 6/drunken philosopher 1

Will do! :)

So, funny story... apparently high stress levels (and not doing well with my diet) can trigger gout attacks. The upside is that I'm having to really get my diet back under control to clear it up, then I just need to stay on track with it. I'll try to remember to do another weigh-in/update before too long.

Male Probably human Computer Scientist 1/ Character Synthesizer 20/ Crazy 99

Yikes, that's not good!

Glad to hear your getting through that, but still doesn't sound like fun times.

Going to see the doc tomorrow about a diet and exercise plan, so we'll see how it goes.

Ugh, that sucks. I hope you're able to get things back on track and get everything cleared up!

In other news, if any of you ever happen to (at some point) start up another AP game or even just a module - please let me know. My brother is wanting to do a little more with PbP and I'd be willing to vouch for his capability as a good player.

Male Probably human Computer Scientist 1/ Character Synthesizer 20/ Crazy 99

Well... I've been mulling over a few campaign ideas in my head, but none of them are really for Pathfinder/D20 games. Nothing concrete, but most of them would probably be Savage Worlds games.

Regarding the visit to the doc, things went pretty smoothly, until it came time for the blood work. I hadn't eaten anything since last night at this point, so here I was, hungry at 2:00-2:30 getting stuck four times before I finally just said use my left wrist. I'll suck it up.

Moral of the story, if the doctor is gonna do blood work, do it early in the morning so you're not getting hangry. :P

Yeah, a lot of times some of my earliest outpatients at work are folks who had to be fasting for their blood work and are ready to get it done so they can have their breakfast and/or coffee. If you have to fast I'd definitely recommend starting it the night before, if possible, so most of that time is spent asleep and in theory you can get it done early the next morning and have it over with.

Of course I know that's not always possible with people's schedules and such but I do think it helps if you can do it that way.

Glad the appointment was at least mostly smooth!

In other news, this is what's currently happening in my town thanks to all the rain we've been getting - and we've gotten even more since this was filmed. I pass through that intersection all the time when I drive to work and it's been crazy to see the water levels so high and all the businesses flooded out or sporting their own moats at this point.

Male Probably human Computer Scientist 1/ Character Synthesizer 20/ Crazy 99

oh fun.

We've been getting a lot of rain too, but thankfully the creek behind my house hasn't flooded.

So, what kind of a game would you and your brother be interested in?I've got ideas for sci-fi/cyberpunk, fantasy, and even superhero games.

(Speaking of games, did you get the PMs I sent you about the Shattered Star game?)

Sorry for barging in uninvited, but I saw you mentioned Savage Worlds, and I just wanted to throw my hat into the ring. I'm always up for a SW game! Don't care the setting (altho I've got a superhero idea I'm waiting to try out...). But really, any setting is fine.

My wife started seeing a new ‘doctor’ (I’m not sure what kind of doctoral degree he has, or how reputable it is) that does a lot with like homeopathic remedies and nutrition and stuff... I’m a bit skeptical about it all (though, in fairness, I’m a bit skeptical about a lot of typical western medicine too), but he’s putting her on a new diet that happens to be almost exactly the same the list of foods that I want to be eating for my diet!

The downside is that we’re going to spend the next week eating garbage (because we can’t afford to throw it all out), but once that’s cleared out it’s going to be waaaaay easier to eat right. And, hopefully, it’ll help her feel better too.

Male Probably human Computer Scientist 1/ Character Synthesizer 20/ Crazy 99

That's good to hear.

With regards to homeopathic medicine, though, I'm right with you. Logically, it makes no sense.

Missed last week and for this week I've gained a little back...but I'm not really surprised. The last week or two have seen some stress eating but here's hoping to getting back on track this week!

I'm really looking forward to warmer, sunnier weather so I can get some walking in...

male human bard 6/drunken philosopher 1

Sorry I've been lax about posting my updates. I've been working 65+ hour weeks so its a combination of no time and knowing stress and fast food have been too much of my world to have any reat results.
I weighed in at 246, so up a few, but the weather should break soon. And I'll be back to 40 hr weeks.

Male Probably human Computer Scientist 1/ Character Synthesizer 20/ Crazy 99

Got a call about my blood work a couple of weeks ago.

Good news: Blood sugar's normal, not diabetic or pre-diabetic.

Not so good news: Cholesterol is a little high, Vitamin B12 is borderline low, Vitamin D is low enough they want to prescribe me something to take to bring it up.

In other news, trying to not eat as much at meals by having more meals throughout the day instead of 1 or 2 big ones.

As far as work stress goes. Well, got a big project that is going to be eating up most of my time for the foreseeable future. Got to configure and test about 2000 URLs.

No worries/pressure guys; I haven't done so hot lately either but I mainly want to keep posting and checking in because it's a good reminder for me to either try and do better for the next week or to keep on doing what I'm doing if I had a good week. While I don't really have too much happening in the way of work stress I've had some PbP burnout issues that I'm slowly working on resolving.

@Adam - That's great news on the blood sugar! I'm sorry some of the other stuff is a little low. Based on what I see at my job (this is NOT any sort of medical advice or the like, just one anecdotal observation) there seem to be a lot of people whose Vitamin D is borderline or just plain deficient. Hopefully whatever your doctor prescribes for you will help! Also, hang in there with the job thing! You can do it!

Male Probably human Computer Scientist 1/ Character Synthesizer 20/ Crazy 99

Oh, it's not really all that stressful. I'm just going to be listening to Critical Role (which is well worth the listen I think) and plowing through it like no one's business. The only downside is, I'm not going to be working on much else while I do this.

I think the Vitamin D thing is not getting out enough. Most people work desk jobs now and don't see nearly as much sunlight as we're supposed to. That said, I know I don't get outside enough, and I need to change that.
