Good job on the loss, Joe! :)
Didn't really have a formal cheat day this week since I gave in to temptation earlier in the week re: sweets but I'll probably have my cheat days on Saturdays barring any special occasions. On the bright side, haven't had an energy drink in several days :)
Since I'm working I'll probably wait and weigh myself this afternoon when I get up since that will be my 'morning' in regards to Monday.
And right on cue (it usually takes about a week) I've hit the point where my body voices some protest about a change in diet. Blargh.

Week 2 Update
Current Weight: 346
Weekly Change: -4 pounds (-1%)
Overall Change: -18 pounds (-5%)
Obviously I would have loved to have posted a bigger loss, but its still progress! The week actually went better than it looks on paper... I may have overindulged last cheat day, and gained 5 pounds. So, clearly I need to exercise a little more restraint today than I did last week, but I kind of lost 9 pounds this week so I'm going to be encouraged by that, lol.
Hope you're feeling better Adam!

Still feeling stuffed up, but yeah, I'm feeling a lot better. Just need to get over the coughing. :)
On another front. I'm doing a lot better at drawing than I have been. I feel like I've regained more of my old skill and I just need to keep pushing on. Planning on testing out a lighting setup that should let me get better footage of my drawing.
Now, just gotta get back to building an exercise habit on Monday. :)

Yup, just need to work on exercising in the mornings.
Not tomorrow though, it's going to be freezing!
In other news, I've been drawing a lot more lately and I think I'm going to try drawing Tera and Joanna sometime this week.

my diet and exercise have been an utter disaster the past week or two... I'm a stress eater, plus the way I eat to lose weight is really tough to do when we lose power or I'm constantly on the run (both of which have been going on). I'll try to post an actual update over the weekend (though I'm sure it'll be terrible news).

Lady Ladile |

Try not to worry about it too much Nate; it'd be hard to *not* resort to fast food if your power keeps going out or if you're not home to cook/don't have time to cook. I'm sure the weather you guys have been having hasn't made it any easier on you *or* Joe to stick with a diet and such. But! You guys can do it! I believe in you!
My husband recently applied to, interviewed for, and (as of today) got hired for a job at my workplace, in the same department - laboratory. I've been incredibly excited about it because it'll do wonders for our income and (if it works out) allow for some changes a bit further down the line, like buying our own home. On the other hand, I've also been and still am incredibly anxious about it. So...I've been guilty of some stress eating myself; probably why I neither gained nor lost anything last week.
@Adam - Free steak is the best steak! :D

Well, I have some ideas, but they involve either hydraulics or medieval torture devices.
First thing I thought of was Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory where the kid ends up like 10 ft. tall.
Only in photographs
Hm, fair enough. Of course I'm fairly short so most people are tall from my perspective...and so is everything else.

Hey, I'm sure you've both been pretty busy but even if you feel that you've backslid I'd suggest still posting updates when you can. That way if you're still having trouble with things (putting aside other circumstances like power outages & the like) then maybe one of us can offer some suggestions or even just a little extra moral support.
Joe, I'm glad you guys had a good melt the other day. Here's hoping for continued meltiness and clear storm drains! It's been unusually warm here the past few days - yesterday's high was 65!? Pleasant but definitely warm for us for this time of year. I'm also afraid that the warm weather has encouraged everyone to get out and spread their crud (flu, strep, whatever) around some more :|
Anyhoo, I hope all of you have a fantabulous day today :)

Well, I tried to be a good husband and wait on my wife while she suffered through a very nasty cold, but it seems I missed a fort save in there somewhere.
So, this week, my diet plan consists of eating very few solids and crying like a baby to burn calories.
wish I was a paladin....

Lady Ladile |

My husband has been sick the last several days as well with either a really nasty cold or some sort of sinus infection. I've tried my best to take care of him but it occasionally requires an extra bit of patience on my part since he doesn't handle being sick very well.
I'm sorry that you're sick too Joe but I hope it passes quickly and that your wife is feeling better at least! Nate, I hope your wife is feeling better as well.

Lady Ladile |

^Hmm...lest it seem I'm talking crap about my husband, I'll add that it's nothing he wouldn't readily agree with if asked directly. I'm not always at my best when I'm sick either; it just manifests differently.
And speaking of being sick, it's been my turn to do exactly that. My husband had already been sick for a week and I started feeling puny in the wee hours at work Wednesday night/Thursday morning so we hit up urgent care after I got home. Husband now has antibiotics for a sinus infection and I got antibiotics for strep throat. On the bright side, it's been a little over 24 hours since I started my antibiotics (why do they make these things into horse pills though!?) and I'm feeling a fair bit better.

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit. I got sick this past week and, well. Let's just say that I've been dealing with that. Strep is no fun, sorry you're having to go through that. :(
Feeling a lot better though, so there's that. Don't think I'm going to be going to the gym until I've got the leftovers out of my system, though. (Still a little stuffy and phlegmy.) Hoping to get back into drawing stuff and get some things completed.
As for why they make them into horse pills, I think the thinking is similar to this comic.
