Jezebel pulls the rope, and keeps walking towards the door.

One little demon - big trouble... think how bad many big ones would be.

Not sure who has the letter opener. I took it, then gave it to Hekra, then I think Jezebel tried to take it as well?

Azeban nods to the Paracountess, deliberately not thinking of what he saw in the bedroom and what kind of punishment Zarta might have in mind. He follows Aldor out when he appears, after the letter opener has been returned.

Nope, I took weapon blanche.

Hekra hands over the letter opener, and the walks out.

Well... It seem we are Pathfinders indeed now. A trip back to the Grand Rodge and we are finish, he says triumphantly.

Jezebel hails another cab and mounts her pony, ready to return to the Grand Lodge. I hope we don't have any more demons in our future. . .

Jezebel hails another cab outside of Zarta's townhouse and everybody piles in. Everything goes smoothly on the way back until your in the heart of the foriegn quarter and getting quite close to the lodge. The crowd on the street begins to get thicker so much so that the cab slows to a crawl and then stops. " Caw! Would ya look at that? " the cabby exclaims. " It'll take hours for this lot to clear, maybe you'd do best to walk from 'ere "

Up ahead the road is blocked off by a throng of bodies. A performance art group commandeers the street, drawing graffiti to create a jolly hellscape complete with illusory devils comically dancing around in circles. A few citizens avoiding the crowd slip off-street through a nearby alley, the only egress past the gathering.

Toshizo looks critically at the poisoned Pathfinders.

You are good to walk or prefer to wait and ride?

"I can walk. I'm famished, but I can walk", Galia says, looking nervously down the alley. "Maybe this way?"

"I'd just like to get some rest soon." Azeban rubs his forehead. "We can walk. It shouldn't be too far."

" We can walk back the air will do us some good"

Jezebel nods, and follows the others on her pony.

The group heads into the alley way along with a growing crowd of people trying to avoid the jam. Up ahead in the crowd Galia, Azeban and Jezebel spot the man they saw watching them in the docks district as the brown haired fellow in the overcoat glances back over his shoulder. Galia then spots the fiery curls of the woman walking next to him. The same hair that she saw as the curtain of a coach that followed the group earlier was drawn.

The guy in the overcoat nudges the redhead and they stop up ahead along with a blonde woman in a green silk dress and a halfling with a handle bar moustache.

The Redheaded woman turns her masked face towards your group and issues what seems like an order to the blonde woman before casting a spell. A shimmering field appears around her.

Hekra pulls his blade out.

Azeban looks at the other group in suspicion. He recognizes the spell, knowing it to be one usually used as defense in combat situations. Narrow alley, little chance of escape, suspicious and probably aggressive. While there might be a small chance of diplomacy, the young man knows better to waste time in such a situation and starts preparing a spell in return.

Spellcraft DC 16. If check fails by 5 or more, believe that he is casting Fireball (Rakshasa bloodline)

Realizing that she may be sacrificing an opportunity to charge for the sake of diplomacy, Galia can't help but think that this group has not done anything offensive at this point, and doesn't warrant a good skull thumping.

Instead she will take a 5 foot step forward and stop, readying her axe for a lesson in humility at the first aggressive action. As she is not the diplomat in the group, she assumes that someone behind will perform that duty.

The Halfling gives a quick glance at the red haired woman, seems to hesitate but then with a mad gleam in his eyes rushes forward at Galia pulling his axe from a sheath on his back. " Ggrrrauugh! "
Galia's Readied Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Damage: 1d12 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Galia slashes out with her own axe scoring a hit across the halflings chest but he hardly pauses in his stride and swings out for Galia's legs.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
The halflings axe catches her on the thigh.

Hekra takes a 5 step to help Galia.

Jezebel loads her firearm regular bullet, Move And shoots at the charging halfling.

To Hit: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 6 - 4 = 14 -4 because in Melee, versus Touch AC
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 Expending 1 Grit as an Immediate Action

Jezebel, because its the Surprise round you can only make a Move or a Standard action. If its a move action to load your pistol then that's all you can do. Unless you have some way of getting around that.

Ah, Swift Action load with the paper cartridge then.

Jezebel's bullet speeds past Galia and digs deep into the Halflings shoulder. His face contorts with anger and he doesn't even seem to slow as blood pumps from the wound.

Azeban begins to chant preparing his spell.

The blonde woman also chants and as her voice rises and falls a thick fog twists out around her encompassing the alley way and blocking all vision of your foes.

"Ledford!" You hear the voice of the red haired woman casting a spell and her gloved hand reaches out from the fog and touches the reckless halfling

Anders loads his sling and sends a stone flying at the halfling
Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
But the stone clatters off the wall as he over compensates to avoid hitting Galia.

The line of Effect of spells aren't affected by not actually being able to see where I'm casting, if I recall correctly?

Azeban finishes his chant with a loud cry and smacks his palms together before thrusting them in the opponents' direction.

Finish Full-Round Spell: Sleep (DC 15, Will Negates) on J3-K3 intersection.

Toshizo casts bless on his round.

Each ally gains a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and on saving throws against fear effects

Hekra helps Gaila. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Galia swings again at the Halfling in front of her.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Damage: 1d12 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
She swings at the snarling halflings head but he nimbly dodges her axe.

Toshizo casts his spell and the blessing of Shizuru falls on his allies aiding there attacks.

Your halfling foe steps back into the fog laughing maniacally his form is obscured as he seems to drink something.

Hekra is up! Did you want to aid Galia for next round or change your action?

Azeban I'll roll those saves at your initiative count after Hekra and Jezebel have acted.

The halfling has 20% concealment so roll your miss chance if you attack him. There's also an ally of his next to him that has 20% miss chance to. D100 rolls under 20 hit.

Ok Jezebel is up.

Jezebel continues to hold action until she has a clear shot at a caster (will fire when and if someone comes into plain view or if a caster type begins casting. Attempting to break concentration. Feel free to fire away for me when the action is appropriate.)

Toshizo will draw his long spear (move action) and move to behind Galia.

As Azeban finishes his spell the halfling slumps to the ground giving a loud snore. Not loud enough however to cover the sound of another body hitting the pavement.

A dagger flies out of the mist barely missing Galia.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

" Wake up you lout. " a woman yells from the fog, punctuated with a loud slap. The fog swirls as you see the woman's movement. The halflings snoring abruptly stops.

Anders fires another sling bullet at the prone halfling.
Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15
Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 79
Damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

The bullet hits the halflings shoulder.

Galia will step forward to deal swift death to whatever lies in the mist ahead:

Galia's axe falls with a sickening crunch as it bites though the Halflings neck.

Assuming I can move and strike with my longspear from G4 then I strike at the lady at the edge of the mists.

Hekra pulls out his crossbow and loads it.

Tired of holding action, Jezebel takes a five foot step to the empty space directly in front of Azeban, and fires at the woman near the halfling.

To Hit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 v. Touch AC.
Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 71
Damage (If Hit): 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Spending 1 Grit (2/4)

Listening carefully for a splat sound, Jezebel reloads.

Toshizo steps in thrusting his longspear at the red haired woman narrowly missing.

Hekra takes out his crossbow and cranks the arms back slotting in a bolt.

Jezebel steps into a better firing position and fires a shot at the woman hearing a satisfying squelch and grunt as the bullet finds its target.

Azeban begins chanting again.

The man in the overcoat steps out of the thicker fog his face set in a grim scowl. He strikes at Galia with his rapier.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

But Galia easily avoids his somewhat clumsy attack.

The red haired leader steps backyards into the fog searching for something in her belt pouch.

Anders fires a sling bullet at the foe in front of Galia.
Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
Damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 52 Needs to be above 20

The bullet smacks into the mans forehead making blood trickle into his suddenly unfocused eyes.

Azeban finishes his second spell with a loud cry and pushes it a bit farther than before.

The guy in front of Galia is a human man in an overcoat, short brown hair and is wielding a rapier.

Galia slashes at the man in front of her. He dodges left and right causing the fog to swirl around him and manages to avoid her attacks.

Toshizo stabs out past Galia with his long spear also hitting nothing but fog.

As Azeban finishes his spell you hear another body slump to the cobble stones within the fog.

Jezebel loads her pistol, and tumbles into the fog to get next to an enemy in order to perform a coup de grace. acrobatics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
