Tamm barks at the goblin in its own language:
He keeps his shortsword pointed at the creature.
Yeda blinks awake slowly.
Corrin.... is it over? Have I failed...?
He smiled and shook his head no. picking up his spear. He started to rise and spin about as the other goblins were either downed or surrendered
"Dont be silly Miss Yeda, you didnt fail you did awesome he just lucky."
He growled eyeing the prone half elf's form. He reached into his pocket and gave her a goodberry. Turning to Sazzat and the prisoner he nodded and approached.
"Good, you speak their tongue. Ask him about miss Ameiko. Ask him why they were working with her traitor brother, and ask him if there are more."
He began breathing hard still worked up and agitated over the mess. His eyes couldnt help but wander to the strange glass sarcophagi of the angry old man his scowl deepening.
While the others dealt with the last goblin, Zeldana got to Tsuto and ensured he was tightly bound. Arms, feet, the whole nine yards. "Do any of you think you can wake Tsuto so we can question him as well?"

Zeldana, who had set about tying Tsuto up, went ahead and removed everything that might be used as a weapon to free himself. No chances being taken. Though she was a little shocked to find a journal and gave it a quick scan. "Oh dear..." Zeldana muttered as she read the passages.
"Um guys... you might want to read this." Zeldana told them. "He is not only a part of the attack on Sandpoint, he has who is leading it...." She said as she showed anyone who wanted to see it.
Between her and Corrin, Yeda was going to be able to move on her own. She turned her attention to Zeldana and Tsuto.
"I can bring him round, then we can take him to the sheriff"
As she walked over she took the offered journal and quickly read it.
With a small sound of disgust she offered it to the next person and crouches down beside the unconscious man.
"You may well wish we had killed you by the time the town is through with you."
She rests a hand on the half-elf and channels healing magic again.
Yeda sits up, but stays on the ground, greatsword resting on her knees. She groggily holds up her hand to receive the journal when it's her turn.
So, there are more agents at play here than we realized. And this "love" of his is going to come for him soon. It would be ideal if we could buy some time before she discovers that we got to Tsuto...
Yeda racks her still-groggy mind, trying to think of ideas.
Tsuto wakes up, spitting some blood from his mouth "Damn, the lil creeps didn't do their jobs. And don't you doubt my love will come to get me, this lil cesspool of a town will really hurt then. She'll be expecting me in the next few days at the latest." and he laughs
Zeldana knelt down to Tsuto's level and placed a finger over his lips. "I figured that. If she really loves you I mean. Lamashians aren't the loving type, unless you're their offspring." Zeldana pointed out. "Now the next words out of your mouth I would like to be the location of Amieko. I do have others ways of finding things out but... they are more difficult. So please, where is Amieko, Tsuto?" Zeldana asked.
"She is your sister, the only family you have left. I read the letter you left for her. She came here because she loves you, your her brother. Even if she disagreed with you, she'd still love you. Tsuto, don't do something you would later regret." All the while she watched his face, trying to read his expressions.
His face softens a bit at the mention of Ameiko "She's in the basement. She's bound and unconscious there, i came to offer her to join and was going to take her back to convince her to join."
"So... he's alive and talking. Thats good."
He began feeding Dewdrop a couple of the goodberries since he had been hurt by the goblins. He was still so angry about that. He paused tilting his head and eyeing the goblin from the side. If the half elf was talking they didnt need the goblin at all. He moved quickly hefting his spear and throwing it at the 'surrendered' goblin.
Tamm casts Detect Magic and for the first time in his life, it works!
He examines the loot from Tsuto:
Yeda notes the details as Tsuto includes them in his explanation.
Having finally gathered herself again, she gets up from the ground, using her greatsword to push herself up this first time since the battle.
A few days. That gives us at least a little time.
She walks around in a tight circle for a couple of laps to ensure her full feeling and control is back, slashing her sword through the air a couple of times to work her upper body too.
She stops and looks over at the other ladies.
Zel, Loxley, do you have any magic that would force the truth of additional information out him?
Then Corrin.
Thank you again for the healing. I'm good as new! What about you? Can we wring this rag dry for useful tidbits?
Zeldana gave a shake of her head at Yeda's questioning. "No, that is far more powerful magic than I am able to call upon." She answered.
Then she knelt next to Tsuto. "I will remain here and watch Tsuto. To ensure that he doesn't try to escape in case you cannot find Amieko."
Sitting on her knees, Zeldana looked to Tsuto. "You don't have to answer these questions but, I would like to understand you better." She began. "Your love, what do you love about her? Why are you so willing to spread pain and destruction?" Zeldana asked. "I know, you didn't have the best family life. Treated poorly due to no fault of your own." She said as she reached out gently tapped his half-elf ears.
Corrin: The goblin falls to the ground with the spear in his chest
Sazzat: You can't tell what the ring is, the potion is cure light. The earrings are 25 gp each. The flute is worth 105 gp.
So at this point people are going down and checking on Ameiko? Just makin sure everybody is good.
Yeda nods at Zel and heads to the basement, keeping her sword held out in front of her in case of any further surprises.
"I will stay with miss Zeldana, you all go find miss Ameiko please."
He added moving to the goblin and removing his spear. He stabbed it again for good measure. In fact he moved to the other goblins and gave them one good stabbing to make sure they were in fact dead and not faking it.
"Hey after years of trying and reading those books, I'm a wizard!" Tamm blurts out.
"This ring is magic, but I'm not sure what it does. Somebody ask Tsuto." he continues.
"The potion is a cure light wounds potion, I think Yeda should have it, because she's most likely to get hurt."
"This is a nice set of tools." looking over the lockpicks. "I think I'll hang onto them in case we need to open a door later."
She averts her eyes as Corrin takes his anger out on the goblin. She has no love for them herself but is still conflicted over the slaying of a prisoner. Happy to change her trail of thoughts Loxley chuckles at Tamm’s exclamation before turning he attention to Yeda and shaking her head.
”Afraid not. But I can look at the ring later.”
Looking back at Corrin she nods.
”Stay on guard. There could still be threats within these walls.”
Walking over she picks up her bow and slings it over her shoulder with a wince. The wound didn’t hurt as much as it did when it happened, but she would have to tend to it later.
She nods at Yeda and Tamm.
”Let’s find Amieko so we can report this to the sheriff sooner, rather then later.”
Loxley readies her sword and heads out with the others to find the missing innkeeper.
Tsuto says "The ring makes you harder to hit. There are no more threats in the glassworks, but the tunnel in the basement is a different story."
"It can be, but it really just depends upon who you surround yourself with." Zeldana pointed out. "I can understand a vendetta against those who have wronged you but..." Zeldana looked over at he body encrusted in glass. "Do you truly believe killing others is the way?" She asked as she looked back to Tsuto, meeting his eyes. "It is not with strength and violence that we triumph over those who treat us poorly, it is by not giving them the knowledge that they affect us." She tried to explain. "You loved your mother, and some part of your heart still loves you sister. Would you truly cast their love aside for someone who is willing to hurt others the way you have been hurt?" She went on. "Think of the pain you have faced Tsuto... would you wish that upon the innocent here? Would you wish the death of a mother upon another child?"
He looks over at the statue and sneers "I mean the old bastard killed his own wife cause he got cucked over 1 too many times so he had it coming Anyway, I don't know if violence is the way, I don't know if it's the answer but it's all I got. Of course I love Ameiko, why do you think I tried to recruit her. Why do you think I tried to bring her back to base instead of simply killing her. The way I see it it's an eye for an eye, the children are just an unfortunate consequence."
Downstairs...
Yeda proceeds carefully down the hallway after the stairs. She pauses to carefully inspect the alcove (visually) before turning left.
She then checks the first door for trap...
If she doesn't detect any traps she opens that door in search of Ameiko...
Tamm follows along with Yeda and helps her check for traps.
"But, by your logic I would have the right to kill you and your love simply for attacking my home." Zeldana pointed out. "That isn't right. What if you and her had children, would you wish them to lose their parents?"[/ ] She asked, obviously trying to understand his logic. [b]"An eye for an eye... it will just leave the whole world blind."
As the other two search the area visually Loxley closes her eyes for a moment Listening for any sounds.
The echoing nature of the hall make it difficult to hear much though.
Following Yeda’s lead, Loxley flanked the door’s right with her sword ready. She motions to Tamm to mirror her on Yeda’s left when the warrior moves to open the door. Tsuto had said there were no more threats, but he could have easily been lying the get them to drop their guards.
"Honestly, I believe few people deserve death." Zeldana answered truthfully. "And no, I do not plan to allow them to kill you. But it is likely you will end up in prison. You have done wrong after all. Your actions lead others to death." Then taking a moment she looked at Tsuto. "That isn't the question I asked Tsuto. Let us say she wouldn't be a Lamashian, would you want to settle down with her? Have a family?"
Just knick knacks and glass here...moving on.
She backs out and proceeds to the next door.
"That's a lot of windows."
”Hmm.”
Locket makes a noncommittal sound as the three move to the next door. She keeps her ears open still but then a thought comes to her. She takes a moment to gather her will and slowly closes her eyes. Raising her hand open and slightly outstretched, she opens them again.
’I know I remember her performing magic. Maybe I can pick up her aura.’ She thinks to herself. ’And hopefully the doors aren’t too thick.’
Facing the second door first she searches. If she can’t detect anything she slowly turns and moves down the hallway just enough to hopefully scan the other doors.
He paced quietly back and forth keeping an eye on Tsuto while not interrupting Zeldana's questioning. He gave the half elf one thing, he knew what he was facing at least. The elf had no doubts that once the town learned he was with the goblins whom attacked the town, allied with a spawnmaker of Lamashtu whom wanted to burn the town down, and well a murderer of one of their own, even an unliked one of their own, it was likely to be the noose for him. Maybe the settlement would surprise him.
"Change is like a ripple across the water. It only takes one drop." Zeldana told him. "I'm not just going to let them string you up. You'll have a trial first." She said with a nod.
"It always matters Tsuto. Intent is the difference from murder and man-slaughter." Zeldana tried to explain. "I always thought that in a relationship you're suppose to talk to each other. Plan your future together, not allow one to take control of it all. I mean isn't that what he tried to do?" She asked as she pointed to Tsuto's encased father.
Ameiko! Quick, heal her!
Letting out a small gasp when they open the door Loxley quickly rushes over to the unmoving Ameiko. She quickly looks her over for signs of injuries or wounds.
"Ameiko, can you hear me?"
She asks as she removes the gag.
She can't see any obvious injures but just to be safe she summons up her magic and places her hands on Ameiko, calling a soft glow to her hands.
Only once she sure the woman isn't going to be hurt by further movement does Loxley pull her dagger and cut her bonds.
While the others deal with Ameiko, Tamm searches the room.
Sazzat this is another storage room, you look around and find a glass statue of a bird that looks very high quality, you could probably catch a pretty penny for it
Yeda immediately begins explaining.
We did successfully incapacitate them, but not without a struggle. A made Tsuto bleed badly. He stunned me with his fists. In the end we've got a lot of goblin bodies upstairs and your brother tied up and awaiting detaining by our town guard. Oh, and this...
Yeda gets out the journal that they found on Tsuto and hands it to Ameiko.
That should shed some late on your brother's thinking lately.
Loxley helps Ameiko to her feet, getting the woman's arm around her shoulders to support her.
"Slowly now. Let's get you up stairs."
She walks with Ameiko at the innkeeper's pace letting Yeda explain things.
Tamm slides the glass bird into a bag.
"That isn't why I would do it. I can sleep at night either way." Zeldana said with a shrug. "I do it because it is the right thing." She told him honestly. "He lost control quick, and so did you." Zeldana pointed out as she motioned to the fact he was tied up. "If you ever had control... from what you say it seems like she always had control and you didn't really have... anything. Which makes me honestly feel sorry for you. Because it doesn't sound like what you have is a real relationship, just being used..."
He had been quietly listening to Zeldana's attempts but Tsuto's last words grated into his ears and just rubbed him the wrong way.He moved quickly drawing in front of the tied up half elf the point of his spear several inches away from the mans face but clearly in the man's view.
"Tools get broken and are easily replaced, then forgotten. Miss Zeldana is my friend. This is a reminder to be nice."
He said waggling the spear tip.
"My apologies Miss Zeldana please continue."
He began standing up and going about his pacing and watching.
Zeldana gently reached out and moved the spear away from Tsuto. "Thank you Corrin, but his insults do not bother me." She told him.
Then she looked to Tsuto. "I've made friends. I've learned the hearts of the people in this town and I've tried to guide them towards happiness. But that is like leading a horse to water. You can do so but you can't make it drink." Zeldana told him with a soft smile. "Also a tool can be productive yes... but used incorrectly it can be a detriment to all. Especially the tool." She pointed out. "Believe me when I say I am not naive enough to believe one good talk will change your mind. But that still won't stop me from try... because I'm not trying to change your mind so much as," Zeldana reached out and placed her hand over Tsuto's heart. "but you heart. Which is a far more difficult task I know... but it is worth try."
Turning a blind eye to Tamm, Loxley frowns as Ameiko pulls away from her and leans against the wall. She didn’t fight her on it, sure an ex-adventurer like herself had probably been through the same, if not worse.
”I hate to say it, but I’m not sure we’re up to another skirmish so soon. But if needed we’ll try.”
She took a deep breath and exhaled as she looked to Yeda.
”We should keep looking for this tunnel. If we can block it, it may delay any attempts to use it. Maybe the sheriff can arrange a watch on the building too.”
Looking back at Ameiko she gives her a concerned look.
”Don’t push yourself if you don’t have to. Catch your breath upstairs.”
She tries to sound stern, but it just comes out as concerned.
"There are a couple of doors down the hall, maybe the tunnel in behind one of them."
Yeda looks to follow Sazzat out of the room, but is tentative and watches Ameiko.
Are you sure you don't want one of us to help you back upstairs?
Yeda normally puts forward the strong warrior presence, but she doesn't mind letting compassion show when appropriate.
Assuming Ameiko continues to decline...
Yeda nods at Sazzat and heads toward the next set of doors.
Yes, come lend me your trap-finding eyes. I suspect the tunnel may have actual defenses. Perhaps even an alarm spell? Loxley, we could use your detection as well.
Tamm checks door number 3 for danger.
