Kayanor muffs another arrow. "Erastil's Arse!" He takes a moment to check his bow string. He drops his bow and draws his sword, moving to at least help someone who is doing a solid job.ATK: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Darathys Kressen |
Reinvigorated by Titus' magical healing, Darathys screams in frustration as he starts to lose control again. His body is bleeding and he has never been used to accept wounds without repaying them. He still manages to keep some control over his own actions, but his fury is beginning to unleash inside of him as he roars wildly and tries to hit the guard in front of Titus with his greatsword.

Even though the last few attacks were fantastically bad, the guards can see they are now grossly outnumbered, and they throw down their axes and surrender.
The DC is high, but if you want to try again with diplomacy, you can. Otherwise, you probably want to knock them out or tie them up. There are no witnesses you are aware of, however.
Darathys Kressen |
Darathys quickly moves to tie the guards with some ropes and manacles, asking his companions if they can contribute too. "Wise choice. We're not your enemies" he manages to say through clenched teeth.
Lini of the North |
"Droogami. Heel." she commands, assisting Titus in stabilizing any guards. She gives him an long, appraising look, as if noticing for the first time the nature of his magic. "You don't look Old Faith. Where did you learn to do that?"
Sorry! No rope nor CMB to speak of. Perhaps the guards are carrying some if they had meant to subdue us.
Thessaly |
Thess digs out a rope. "Sorry about your damn bruises," she growls at the conscious guard, "but you wouldn't listen to sense and we don't have the damn time, there's a robbery going on inside, you morons."
She quickly lashes the guards' hands to their ankles, then snatches her halberd up. "C'mon, let's get healed up and go, we don't want these buggers to get away!"
(Assuming that Titus is willing to use Thessaly's CLW wand on her:)
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Kayanor |
Kayanor scowls at them, "That was a waste of ALL our time." The elf then stalks his way to the door, keeping an eye out while waiting for the party to finish with the guards.
GM Fuzzfoot |
As you enter the armory through the open door, you find yourselves in a small dark hallway. Bits of shattered wood and iron are strewn across the floor and disappear into darkness.
Thessaly |
"I got a torch, if none of the fancy people can make light," Thessaly grunts. "Is anyone still hurt?"
To be clear, I'm happy to let my wand charges be used by the party, if we still need any healing.
Darathys Kressen |
"I could use some healing", mutters Darathys before entering the armory. "I can even pay for it", points out the big guy as he pulls out several coins from his belt pouch.
Kayanor |
"All set here." Kayanor scans the building. "This isn't exactly a shooting gallery." He contemplates switching out his bow, and thinks better of it. Instead he prepares an arrow. "Let's go.

I still have Droogami down 3 and Darathys down 7. It looks like Thessaly is generous, so
CLW on Droogami: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
CLW on Darathys: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
CLW on Darathys: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
So I count 6 charges used this scenario, right?
With the torchlight, you can see there are doorways on each side of the hall.
Darathys Kressen |
Darathys grunts at the results of the healing magic. "That's all?, he says shaking his head in disapproval. "Let's go left then. Behind me", he says to Kayanor as the two of them enters the armory. The big guy then slams the door open, or at least he tries to.
Darathys Kressen |
Edited. Didn't realize the third use of the wand was being used on him. I'm at full hp now.

Dulcinea de la Mancha |
Dulcinea shifts her sap to her buckler hand.
"Ah! How wonderful. The opportunity to fight some goblins!"
She shifts to the side of the door, predicting that Thessaly would want to move back to utilize her reach.
Dulcinea gives a short bow to the goblins as she draws her rapier, lining it up with a flourish at eye level with the closest goblin.
"You may want to surrender, little ones!

We'll give Darathys some more time to post, as weekends are slow and with the east coast storms in the US, a lot of people are having trouble online this weekend...

Darathys tries to hit the nearest goblin, shouting in roaring surprise, "G@% d&@ns it!" he screams savagely as he lashes out furiously, although the wooden wall separating him from the goblin grants the small creature a cover.

GM Fuzzfoot |
The green goblin is looking pretty bad, but the red goblin is worse, being both prone and staggered, bloody and afraid. As a last ditch effort, it stabs out with it's short sword, eyes closed. It is a pathetic display, and the effort causes the goblin to pass out.
Attack, prone: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 2 - 4 = -1
The green goblin swings it sword at Kayanor, managing to barely get a good scratch in.

She attempts to stab the goblin nearby around the door.

Darathys slices the dog in half, ending the immediate threat.
As you look around, you see that the room to the west of the main hallway contains six bodies wearing the same armor and livery as the guards out front. They’re all dead, injured by both magical and mundane means, and some of them appear to have recently been chewed on.
You hear the scuff of a boot on the floor above—someone is upstairs!

Dulcinea twirls her sword about absent-mindedly.
"That was a good warm-up!"
She begins checking each of the bodies of the goblins and the guards for any gear that might be useful to the party.
