The confirmation is given, the gemlike button depressed twice and with a soft hum the doors come to life. The world is thrown into chaos as the air from the elevator is almost immediately sucked into a strong vacuum - rather explosively.

You are all jostled and thrown by the force.

A series of glassy panels form a semicircular array along the southern walls of this circular room. Some of the panels are lit but blank, while others flicker with a jarring, black and- white dotted pattern. Many are cracked or simply dark. A throne-like chair sits before a mechanical table in the center of the room. A skeleton slumps in the chair, one bony hand grasping a large lever. Its other hand, wearing a strange, silvery glove, rests upon a glowing plate.

The room is almost airless, sound barely travels - even if you could gasp enough air to begin talking. The lung full of air you gulped before the doors opened is the one you have got.

Irudiel follows Guntir, decided to not being suffocated here and starts searching something in the panel that can mean air, atmosphere or how to get out of the fortress.

Graxzos grunts as the group is thrown by the wind, then gasps as he feels the air sucked out from around him. Seeing Guntir's path, he nods sturdily and follows the other dwarf. When he arrives at the skeleton, he yanks the bony hand from the strange silver glove and inserts his own, pressing the glove firmly onto the panel.

Same situation as Guntir--if someone could move me please?

I assume it doesn't bypass DR, as although it appears as untyped damage, the fluff seems to imply the jostling and banging is what causes the injury

The small group lurch out from the lift, choking on their last breath of air - they all descend on the lever and Guntir yanks it as Graxzos smacks his hand down on the panel - there is a jarring sound as a bunch of vents all of a sudden open up and begin forcing much needed air into the space - but as they do the vents also spew some airy creatures!

Kaya sucked in a lungful of air before the atmosphere shifted, feeling herself go pale as they were jolted. It was a relief when Graxzos found a panel that held back that glorious piece of life they called air.

With that, however, came some strange creatures. She unsheathed her rapier and moved closer, standing just behind Graxzos lest it attack him first. She was starting to think that putting her weapons away was a bit... pointless. At least, it appeared as much with the way things were going. Maybe she should invest in something quick-release sheaths...

Pretty sure that's two move actions for Kaya since she can't attack from far away. :<

Wait...Atmosphere Negligible... Doesn't that mean there's no air? Lissa thought just before the party was exposed to the vacuum of the room.
The explosive expulsion of the group, as well as the condition of the place surprises her and shocks her for a moment, leaving her in the lift as the others raced for the console.

As the room floods with the much welcome air, Lissa gasps for a couple breaths before she focuses on the two figures that were dumped into the room. "Uhhh.... We come in peace?" she blurts out as she gasps for a couple more breaths and steps out of the lift.

"Right,"Lissa mutters as she gathers some water together. "Considering this place, I should have expected another attacker." And with that, she launches the water at the more open target.

"Ugh!" Graxzos reels slightly as the air creature buffets him. "Dammit all! First those metal men, now th' damned AIR's attackin' us?! Hey, brainy!" he bellows toward Irudiel. "How do we kill th'air?!"

Stepping carefully away from the whirling gout of air, he mutters, "Well, I got one way, I guess." Leveling his pistol at the creature, he pulls the trigger.

And with the mighty blow landed the airy shape dissipates completely, and peace returns.

The skeleton at the panel wears a silvery,wire-mesh glove on one of its hands - you easily identify that it is the missing interface piece to required to manipulate the controls in the main room downstairs.

As you return to the earlier panel, you wave the glove over it, and an illusion of the complex appears on the glassy panel. Using the glove, you are able to swipe and move parts of the illusion, and as you do, you hear mechanical grating and groaning as the complex seems to respond. It is an easy task to realign a nearby chamber and create an exit from this place - the metal wall that cut you off earlier appears to be shifting and moving again...

The metal blockage slides aside rapidly, revealing a room beyond, slightly different than the one you came through earlier.

Numerous alcoves are set along the walls of this round chamber, but only a few are occupied by seemingly inactive guardians. A wide archway to the south stands open.

Waiting in the center of the room is a tall robed construct made of metal rods and ceramic plates. Its face is a transparent glass oval encasing a system of whirring mechanical parts. As you look at it, disturbing imagery and light patterns swirl across this faceplate.
