I looked through Karn's posts and determined that so far today he's channeled twice, cast 3 4th level spells (2 CCW, 1 holy smite), and (including botted actions) 3 3rd level spells (remove blindness x3). He has 6 channels/day, so 4 remaining. He can cast 4 more 3rd level spells, and 4 more 4th level spells.
I haven't run any other curing on the party besides the remove blindness spells.

Ah, I'll be passing around Chicago tomorrow on my way back to Madison from Indiana. The Field Museum is my favorite by far, but maybe as a biologist I'm just enamored by their Evolving Planet exhibit.

We're making the trip specifically for the terracotta soldiers exhibit, but will get to see lots of other things as well.

I had a question for those of you who've run PFS games before, as I haven't run into this situation. I'm running Consortium Compact at Tier 2. Four of the five PCs are L2, and are easy to handle. One of the players is running the Amiri pregen, though, at L1. Does she get a chronicle with the out-of-tier money? Does it depend on the level of the character the player applies the chronicle to? Similarly, if I apply the GM credit to a L1 character, does that character get the out-of-tier money?

I am not qualified to answer this question.

Unless things have changed, the GM's character gets whatever is appropriate for them regardless of what the table was run at. So a level 1 character gets level 1 gold. At least that's the way it has been for a few years and I haven't noticed any changes in the document.
As for the pregen question, I'm honestly not sure. I haven't run for a pregen in a long time and that's a unique situation. If they were playing a level 4 pregen in a different adventure, they would get whatever gold is appropriate (in- or out-of-tier) for the party but they couldn't apply the chronicle until their character hit level 4, even if the chronicle is for levels 1-5 and they have a level 2 character. So I guess this is similar and the chronicle would get out-of-tier gold and they would apply it immediately to their level 1 character. But you might want to search the Guide or ask in the PFS forums to be sure.

Any of you possibly interested in Age of Worms? I've been playing in an AoW campaign on the boards that's been running for close to 4 1/2 years. We're halfway through (just finished Part 6), we're 12th level, and the party paladin's player has decided to quit PbP cold turkey. The GM asked us to look around for a replacement, so let me know.
EndlessForms
It sounds fun but I don't have time for another game right now, especially a long-term game. I'm hoping to wrap up all of my long-term games this summer so I'm not tied to anything as I write my thesis and think about starting a family. I'll still be doing scenarios for the foreseeable future though.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
PFS is great for PbP; APs, though, have some serious flaws. Still, with my lack of consistent availability and no compatible gamers in my area that I know of, it's the only game in town. Kind of discouraging, though, when you're several years into a game, half the players vanish, and you've already had a couple of party near-turnovers. I think Tek's gafiation demonstrates the potential for that sort of thing.
Ah, well. I'll pass on the cheese to go with that whine. We're cracking right along with this one despite the bumps, and that's good.
EndlessForms
Yes, my APs have been remarkably successful given the history of APs on these boards. And you guys still going for 4.5 years is really impressive, even if you have had some turnovers. Really, losing Tek has been the only setback I've had and he was in this game and my RotR game. Luckily I had the foresight in that game to start with five players in case we lost one and luckily you guys are over halfway done with book 6 now so at least we're close to finishing. That being said, I hope botting Karn is not too much of a pain or taking too much of the fun out of it. I would offer to do it or help out more but right now I'm honestly having trouble just keeping up with updating my games every night.
Argust Autumnwind
I would be interested (aren't I always?) but I'm about to go on vacation on the 14th and will probably not have my computer with me (that may change). I'll return on the night of the 21st. Would that work?
Oh yeah, bot poor Argust in case I can't get to the boards via my phone.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
The GM is also out of town on travel for the next several days.
Argust Autumnwind
OK, so a 12th level something or other. What would be good for party balance?
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
Another paladin would work. We have a MOMS monk/brawler, a melee inquisitor of Ragathiel, a cleric of Sarenrae (my character), and a diviner wizard. Here's a LINK to the GM's profile--drop him a PM. (He probably won't answer right away.)
EF, while Argust is gone I suggest that we take a short break. Botting Karn isn't being too much of a problem, though in this case it helps that we're doing PbP and I can take some time with it; botting half the party would be a bit much. And on a similar note, I'll be on vacation from 5/28 - 6/6, but will probably be able to keep up with things by phone or laptop.
Argust Autumnwind
OK, I'll see if I can't do that before I leave but it might have to be after I get back. Plus, I want to be sure I don't have too much going on before then. Thanks!
EndlessForms
Especially because Argust is our heavy hitter and I'm rather busy anyways, I would fine with taking a break from the 14-21. Then we'll have another two weeks to play before I force a break on the game during my prelim A exam from June 6-10.
Brelar Darheek
Hey guys. Sorry to vanish on you. I was supposed to be going on vacation (but internet access wasn't going to be a problem), though everything last week went pear shaped instead and I am finally able to come up for air. It looks like real life is intruding on others for a bit too. I am here and will get caught up and be ready to continue when the group is. Thanks for being understanding!
EndlessForms
Argust was gone anyways and I've been in the field planting this week so I just sort of assumed the game was on a temporary hibernation waiting for everyone to get back.
As soon as you guys are ready I can push things forward again though. We've still got another couple weeks before I put all my games on halt for my prelim exam.
Argust Autumnwind
I should be OK to post daily again, though maybe not as often as usual.
Bert, hopefully I can work on creating a 12th level paladin soon if I'm still welcome in that game.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
Drop the GM a note ASAP, since you're still interested. We haven't started back up after the GM was on vacation.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
As I said above, I'll be on the road starting tomorrow and going through next Monday. (Prep for that at work has kept me pretty busy these past few days.) I'll try to keep up since I have Wayfinder on my phone, but I'm not sure how much time I'll have.
Argust Autumnwind
I've always wondered this so I'll ask. August has Fast Healing, I assume that continues to heal him even out of combat? If so, I'm assuming he is fully healed by now.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
AIUI, the Sihedron does indeed heal outside of combat. In fact, since we can swap it back and forth between us, if there's time between rooms we can all be at full HP.

This is just a reminder that I will be taking the preliminary exam for my PhD program from Monday-Friday this week and will not be back until next Saturday or Sunday. Thank you for being patient while my games take a short break!
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
Good luck! Of course, I get back to something like normality tomorrow. ..

So far we've done siccatite (evocation), djezet (enchantment), adamantine (transmutation), and inubrix (necromancy). We still have abysium (conjuration), noqual (abjuration), and horacalcum (illusion) to go. Before we do horacalcum it'd be a good idea to get Karn or Brelar a scroll of true seeing. I can't think of any special preps for the other two.
Argust Autumnwind
I'm not sure what else to do for the others. I'm not well versed in high-end encounters. The conjuration could give Brelar a chance to capture another pet, though.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
I figure that given noqual's antimagic properties we'd better not count on having any spell boosts there, and abysium is poisonous so drinking antitoxin before we go in that one is recommended.
Argust Autumnwind
Being a dwarf that won't be quite as bad but yeah, everything helps. We can go there next if you want.
EndlessForms
No problem. You guys have the fancy teleport setup if you need to go back to Magnimar for supplies. Let me know which room you want to tackle next then.
By the way, to give you an estimate of your progress, we've only got five encounters left. Just five! So plan your purchases accordingly! And you will level up one last time after we finish these Skymetal Vaults.
Sorry about Karn leaving us so close to the end of the campaign after over three years and I know things have been moving slow ever since, not just because of Karn leaving but also because Brelar and myself have been busy and slower to post, but I'm confident we can push through to the end in the next few months, perhaps even sooner.
Argust Autumnwind
I'm not worried about it. I'm excited to get this close to the end now. Hmm, figuring out the loot might be hard without Brelar, though.
Karnhusk Jarlson
What up people! I'm back! (J/K)
EF asked me to step in to post for Karn since Tek vanished off the boards without a trace. Made up a similar profile to his and I'm ready to go. I'm not quite sure what is going on storywise as this is an AP in its final stages, but I can at least competently toss out buffs and heals! (Fingers crossed on a hammer AoO or two.)
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
I'm going to be traveling from 8/5 to 8/11, and am unlikely to be able to connect.
Karnhusk Jarlson
Shopping List in Magnimar:
Weapon to Construct Bane - 22,000;
Armor to +5 - 16,000;
Amulet to +3 - 10,000;
Cloak to +5 - 21,000;
Two More Onyx Rhomboids 16,000
Total: 85,000
Money to Spend from Loot: 83,000 and change
Money on Karn's Character Sheet: 2,727 GP
Should be good to go if EF signs off on all the purchases. They are all pretty basic, imo.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
Since we'd retreated and reequipped before the marilith fight, I'd like to have Bert have picked up 50 +1 construct bane adamantine cartridges for his good pistol (total cost 11,050 gp). He wouldn't have used any of them against the marilith.
Argust Autumnwind
Hmm, I guess I could put Construct Bane on my greatsword, that's 34K gold. Still have a little over 50K to spend on something.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
If Xin is evil that property won't get you anything AIUI.
Argust Autumnwind
OK, scratch that. I'll get Gloves of Dueling then. Also, I'm very much considering a Headband of Inspired Wisdom +6 in order to get that Will Save up there some more.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
Get a clear spindle ioun stone and slot it into your wayfinder. The resonant power is kind of like protection from evil in how it blocks mental control effects.
Argust Autumnwind
Ah, forgot about that. I'll do that then. I think I'll still invest in a Luckstone as an additional +1 to all saves can't hurt. Still have 46K to go. Hmm...
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
Surfacing long enough to remind you that I'm largely incommunicado. Connectivity here is not good, and all I have atm is my phone. I'll be back Wednesday or Thursday.
-Posted with Wayfinder
Argust Autumnwind
Whoops, forgot about this. Since I have no idea what to do with the 46K I have left over I'll put Greater Slick on my armor since August is not the escape artist type.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
And I just noticed that I haven't leveled Bert yet! Probably archaeologist/15, just for a few more spells and slots.
Argust Autumnwind
Yeah, that might help. This guy hits harder than I do. Eep.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
Brelar can do something about the fire damage it's inflicting, at least. Bert still has an undead bane weapon, but mixing it up with the giant is probably a bad idea--his AC is worse than Argust's, and he couldn't survive a full attack sequence (even with fire resistance).
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
Finished in less than 5000 posts - EF, were you trying to hit that mark?
-Posted with Wayfinder
EndlessForms
Haha, no, I wasn't even tracking the number of posts. But we started on May 25, 2013 which is a total of 1189 days or 3 years, 3 months, and 1 day.
Congrats, everyone! You are my first PbP AP to make it all the way to the end and my second ever complete AP. Of course, my F2F AP took about half as long but that's just how these things go.
Very few APs ever reach the end on these boards and usually have a lot more player turnover than we had. Really, we didn't have any problems until halfway through book 6 when we lost Karn and the past couple months as we slowly lost Brelar. That's still a pretty good track record as far as PbP APs are concerned.
I'll leave this up for another day or so if you guys want to do anything more in the Gameplay or reminisce about the game at all. Right now I don't have any more plans to run an APs on the boards again. The new Lovecraftian one has really piqued my interest and I would love to play it but I don't know if I will ever be able to make the huge commitment that is running a PbP AP. For the foreseeable future I am probably going to limit myself to PFS scenarios and even with that I have limited myself and no can no longer keep up with the new ones as they are released.
But anyways, thanks again to those of you who stuck around for more than three years to keep this game going and thanks to Bold Strider for helping out lately to push us through to the end.
I hope you all enjoyed the game. This AP certainly exceeded my expectations and I had a great time.
