OK, one more trick up my sleeve.
Eadie turns her back to the skeletal dragons and makes a move as if to flee as she breaks a snapleaf between her fingers. (immediate action invisibility for 5 minutes)

Lorelendral Teklet |
I did post first technically - was just waiting for your status before I decided between channel and focused heal - you didn't need to roll yet imo. btw, if you withdraw on hands and knees, it still gets an aoo, if you stand up, it gets an aoo... either way, it has a chance to get at you unless someone else draws it's aoo first (unless of course it has combat reflexes).

“Don’t give this thing any ideas, Roland.”
Sadly … RE: Warpriest Blessings from the ACG PRD
A warpriest can select any two blessings granted by his deity.
Deities grant blessings of the same name as the domains they grant. Unless otherwise noted, using a blessing is a standard action.

Bummer. I was going to add the extra holy damage, but not worth giving up two arrows...unless I keep missing

EndlessForms |
August swings from the ground but misses! Eadie then pops out of invisibility, more powerful than you have ever seen her, and in her mythic glory she swings twice and send the bones of the dragon flying through the air and into the stream of molten gold below!
Out of combat! A fitting end I'd say!
Near the brick building ahead you see the dragon's hoard: 50 gold plated but otherwise worthless household objects, 1265 gp in loose coins, a gold-plated adamantine battle axe, a gold-plated brooch of shieldling, a gold-plated horn of fog, and a small, gold-plated metal box containing three potions of cure moderate wounds.
Nikomedes Diogenes |
Niko eyes the potions for a moment, then hands them Argust and Iggy, the flask seemingly floating by themselves before his invisibility wears off. "Hmm, I wished I'd known you had the trick up your sleeve before I drank the potion.....Nevertheless, well done Eadie. I had begun to fear for the party."
Lorelendral Teklet |
"Ooooh Eadie... it's so good to see you back in such form... That was impressive I must say! Now... who needs more healing?"
Ignatius Van Hjorder |
Ignatius just manages to bring himself onto the bridge. The pain...the pain... The molten gold has certainly left it's mark on the inquisitor. Through labored breathing, he tries to call out, "Healing! I could *cough* use some..." but his voice is shot.
This is what you get, trying to keep up with Eadie and August. You're not the fighters that they are, Iggy. Get it through your thick skull...
Managing to get himself onto his feat, Ignatius limps over to the rest of the party and leans heavily on Roland.
"I've...*cough-cough*... got a bow too. I should...probably... use it more." He tells the ranger between his painful breaths.
Okay, I'm laying it on a little thick. But really, how does someone survive being tossed into molten gold? I realize this is fantasy, and I'm not looking for total verisimilitude in my gaming, but I can't imagine being tossed in molten gold wouldn't totally wreck a guy.
Lorelendral Teklet |
Lore takes one of the 3 cure moderate potions from Niko to Iggy, readying her wand to heal what the potion doesn't. She uses her single daily use of prestidigitation to clean off the gold covering him so it doesn't dry in a hard coating and prevent Iggy from moving...
"Wouldn't want this to harden up and turn you into a statue or one of those gold things that attacked us, hon."
Ignatius Van Hjorder |
Ignatius nods in appreciation and quaffs the potion as quickly as he can.
CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (5, 3) + 3 = 11

EndlessForms |
Well, I could have ruled that being tossed in from a bridge above would cause "total immersion" and then I think the 20d6 fire probably would have wrecked you. But I was feeling generous. Let's see what would have happened: 20d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 1, 1, 5, 4, 4, 5, 2, 1, 6, 1, 4, 3, 5, 6, 1, 4, 4) = 72 Yep, it would have been bye bye Iggy.
Ignatius Van Hjorder |
HAHA, ouch. Yeah, I appreciate the generosity. My little rant was more of a "isn't this a crazy situation" rather being upset. Though, I would totally understand if a less-generous GM would rule that total immersion was a result. And Iggy isn't the best-equipped guy. Mostly because I've been kind of foolish in waiting to save up for bigger items rather than buying useful consumables.
August Autumnwind |
August, not saying a word, drinks the potion given to him.
CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (7, 1) + 3 = 11 At 14/48 now.
August then humbly asks that someone use his heal stick on him.

August Autumnwind |
Oh, if no one can use the battle axe August will take it as a backup.
Eadie Navhelan |
Eadie’s merry-Medusa hair drops her helm to the ground, as her MYTHIC powers leach out into the heady environment of Xin-Grafar. The young warrior pauses for a moment to wipe her brow, leaving a greasy trail in her right hand’s wake.
"PHEW! So, are we having fun yet?"
She places a sweaty palm under August chin and lifts the dwarf’s head to face her.
“You did nothing of the sort, August. If you hadn’t taken some of the *ahem* heat from that thing’s attacks and provided flanking, I hate to think what might have happened.”
She shakes her head. “I’m not sure frontal assaults are going to work as well as they have up until now. I think we need to try some new tactics based around smarter use of magic and resources.”
Eadie smiles at the divine duo. “And that’s where Lore and Iggy come in.”
“Then Lore and Iggy keep ALL of their spell slots OPEN. We enter the next chamber with smokesticks and the horn of fog in hand. Niko and Iggy identify what we’re facing, we *pop* smoke and get the HECK OUT OF ALKENSTAR!”
“We retreat to our hidey-hole, the spell-casters prepare appropriate spells, and then we tramp up to the door a few times, waiting for an hour or so in between, so any enemy spell-casters lose their buffs AND ONLY THEN, do we go in *ahem* guns-blazing so to speak.”
Eadie scratches the top of her head rapidly, mussing up her hair. “So what do you guys think?”
Roland Garros |
Roland pulls out his own wand to cure somd of the burns before continuing.
"Zhank you Lore...again zhe healing is most appreciated. . "
.that was exactly what he needs. So 3 charges saved.
Lorelendral Teklet |
channel heal: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 2) = 13
Lore does another channel before using her wand (and before Roland uses his.. so maybe fewer charges Roland)
Pulling out her wand, she asks, "Now who needs more healing?"
Lorelendral Teklet |
"I have no problem with that plan, Eadie, except I have to prepare a few spells, but I can leave most slots open. That would be a good thing, as most of my spells for the day are fire spells and that seems rather silly now, in the light of what we are facing here."
I think domain slots must be filled in advance, but the rest can be open
Ignatius Van Hjorder |
"I like your plan Eadie; however, I cannot alter my spells. I know what I know and, well, that's all that I know.""
