Are you guys able to play 02-23 and 02-24 Shadow's Last Stand Parts I and II? I'd like to run that series after this one and it would be nice to keep the crew together if everyone can play it. If not everyone whoever can is welcome and we'll find a few others to fill the vacant seats.

Well, I have no other commitments, and I can play both for credit, so I'd be down for those!

With Baern getting to level 6, does that put us in the high tier for this game?

Any thoughts on whether I should plan to get mithral plate one day for Oswin, or just hang on to the steel stuff?

Hmmm. This one will put Kilian up to 5th, which will certainly enhance his survival chances at the higher tier. Let's see who else is in.

I'm up for Shadow's Last Stand.

I can't really make up my mind, so no purchases for Maximo this time.

Sadly I played both of those back in December.

To answer Oswin's question, my maths show us at high tier as well.

I ended up a local gameday last night, and since we were playing the 6-7 Tier I used Oswin - I figured it would be kosher because we haven't started any encounters. I didn't buy anything and won't change purchases. I am still 6th level too.

I've got a PFS rules question for you guys. Last night I was actually able to attend a local game. I hadn't planned to be able to go, and so I wound up playing a pregen (Amiri) in a tier 5-6 game.

Now I need to figure out where to have the GM report the chronicle. The way I understand things I have at least 2 options:

1) Apply to a level 1 character with 500 GP

2) Apply to a lower-level character and hold until he's level 5. Then apply with 5-6 rewards.

There has also been some debate over whether or not the chronicle can be held for a character currently in a PBP and applied when that game finishes. I've posted about this, and a few people point out that chronicles must be applied in the order earned. So strictly speaking that says no. And if you play a pregen instead of your own character when your PC is free, you can't apply the credit to that PC. But I have heard arguments the other way. What do you guys think? Have you dealt with this before in the PBP environment?

The closest I have come to that is applying GM credit to a PC being played in a PbP. Not heard an official ruling on that, either.

If first one made it, that's 2 successful saves... ish =P

Day Job: Clerk: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

Day Job - Perform Oratory: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

Profession (Marine) day job check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Ok, that wraps up the four-part series! It was a good run everyone! And we finished before GameDay in case any of you have other commitments. If not, I promised to start the season 2 two-parter Shadow's Last Stand series if anyone here is interested. I will get that one going soon and maybe find 1-2 people two fill the gaps if some of you aren't continuing on for that series.

Hrmmm. Now you're tempting me! I had put Oswin into Weapon in the Rift. I mean, he's a friggin' Iomedean cleric after all. But Shadow's Last Stand would be amazing to play as well!

As for Osric, I mentioned over in the other thread that he's looking for a 1-shot perhaps to grab another XP before our local con.

If we have a few who want to continue on, I might switch games in order to keep some consistency. You guys are great!

Let me think about Shadow's Last Stand; will depend on time commitments for other games, at least some of which seem to be slowing down. And Kilian hit 5th level out of this one, so I have a bit of updating to do. When do you want to know by?

I have already played those with another character. And now I must get ready for the game day! Running 2, playing 2, plus work, school, and wife. What have I gotten myself into? =P

Question: Alie has about 12k in current funds. She has a Charisma item +2. Is it possible to pay the difference between the +2 item and enchanted it to a +4 item, or do I have to sell the +2 for half price, and pay full purchase price for the +4 item? I hope that question makes sense.

I'm pretty sure you can pay the difference.

Also, if Alie is in for Shadow I think I'll have to bring Maximo. He just made 7th level too.

You can, indeed, pay the difference. You can also pay the difference between a +2 to Cha and a +2 to Cha/Int.

I literally have 12005 gold. Perfect. I think I'm going to pay for the upgrade. E extra skill points would be nice, but Alie is my first and highest level PFS character. I think improving her raw power would be most helpful right now....

Yes, you can pay the difference for any items that are +X (belts, headbands, weapons, armor, cloaks of resistance). You can even upgrade a headband of alluring charisma +2 to a headband of mental prowess +2 (Cha/Int) by the paying the difference. You can not 'pay the difference' for items that are greater/lesser/etc. In the PFS messageboards I think there is a stickied "How to Upgrade Your Gear in PFS" thread that outlines all of that. (It might be in the FAQ, I can't remember.)
