This room is completely submerged and devoid of anything of value or interest. Its only defining feature is a hole in the center of the floor.
Finding nothing of interest the party moves back to the front of the ship. Cold and murky water fills most of this lightless room; the last few steps of the stair leading into it from above. This room, like the crew’s quarters above it, is bare. Eight hammocks hang from the ceiling, dangling just above the cold water. The submerged end deepens steadily at 2-1/2 feet every 5 feet.

I moved 2 squares, figured the best I could manage is half speed without a swim check. If this is wrong, please let me know - I would definitely stop at 20' (5' from foes) to cast my spell.

Sorry, but I can not see the map at work. I would assume that I can get into a flanking position against the shark attacking Caradeum? If not, just have my sneak attack apply to one of the entangled skum.

![]() |

Ok, I am home so I can move things on the map. I think I moved everyone where they indicated. I put a yellow circle for the glitterdust spread.
Caradeum, I moved you 5' diagonal up and right.
Grim, I moved you 1 space forward which puts you in reach range of skum S2.
Filios, least sure of yours. To flank a shark you would have to move past the skum and through the space of 1 shark. That would be at least 40' of movement and at least 2 maybe 3 acrobatics checks to avoid the AoO. From your statement, I don't think you wanted to try that. So I moved you forward in front of skum S1. That isn't flanking though. Does entangled give you sneak attack? I don't know.
If those positions aren't correct, please let me know or move them if you can.

I think that entangled does make you lose your Dex. Thanks

I think that entangled does make you lose your Dex. Thanks
Entangled: The character is ensnared. Being entangled impedes movement, but does not entirely prevent it unless the bonds are anchored to an immobile object or tethered by an opposing force. An entangled creature moves at half speed, cannot run or charge, and takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls and a –4 penalty to Dexterity. An entangled character who attempts to cast a spell must make a concentration check (DC 15 + spell level) or lose the spell.

Ok, I'm back! Wedding went well, the weather held out long enough for the ceremony, and everyone is thoroughly exhausted now.

Ok, I'm back! Thanks for being patient everyone! Sorry for the unannounced absence but it was a bit out of my hands. Grim leads the way up the watery staircase to the level above.
Though slick and wet, the room is not submerged (the water ends at the top of the stairs). Skeletons of long-dead sailors litter the floor.
