Saki once again pulls her blow at the last second as Moll drives one of her blades into the man. Filios steps up to the man and separates his head from his body.

Out of combat.

The cleric had full-plate armor, heavy steel shield, masterwork heavy pick, and 1,700 gp.

In the middle of the dais is a huge boulder which, by all appearances, fell a great distance before crashing here. The boulder glows with an eerie green light.

We are essentially finished, just some RP left to decide what you guys want to do. You were sent here to find Wuthers, after all, and now you have this glowing stone to contend with.

With no living Zyphus follower to lend power to the strange ritual that has happened here recently, the magical barrier preventing anyone from entering or leaving the theater disappears and the city guard rushes in to save the remaining nobles. Surprisingly, more than half of them survived by banding together and fighting off the undead.

Saki concentrates on the glowing boulder, attempting to determine if it is tainted with evil. (Detect Evil)

Can we sunder it? Use his pick maybe?

I would be glad to aid in that endeavor, with some sort of blunted weapon, of course.

The pick looks to be a good option as Luccinus hands it to Filos.

Saki nearly gets a headache from the amount of evil radiating from the stone.

Smite evil with the pick?

Alas... I used my smite evil on the cleric... and didn't hit once. *lol*

"By the Gods," Saki mutters, stabilising herself upon the wall for a moment as a migraine rushes through her. "It is made of pure evil... Destroy it with whatever you can!"

She'll try with her glaive, and if that doesn't work, then simply with her fists. If it seems at all effective, she'll use her lay on hands ability to flood it with some holy power, all the while chanting for her Goddess to purify the evil they had unearthed.

"Why on earth did Wuthers not destroy this thing in the first place?! And where is he, anyway?"

Let me get a sample of it! Before you destroy it. Kryoden moves up to get small sample of it to put in his collection of things. As he does he mutters to himself. Why must everything be destroyed before you examine it.

Moll cleans her swords off on the Cleric's vestments before searching the room while the boys try to break the rock.

Moll goes back into the storage room and realizes that in their haste to reach the source of the undead invasion, the party did not notice that there was a body stashed away behind the boxes and crates. In the belt pouch of the man is a draft of a letter to Venture-Captain Eliza Petulengro, signed in the name of Wuthers. It details the final stages of the dig and the gives a full description of the chamber with the glowing stone and mentions a friend of Wuthers' named Fel Bustrani, whom Wuthers notes is a cleric of Irori, although the man matches the description of the now-beheaded cleric of Zyphus in the next room. His pouch also contains a small journal, acting as a shorthand record of his many previous adventures as a Pathfinder.

When Moll returns with her findings, Saki is grim, but even more enthused to completely destroy this rotten artefact.

Are we able to just destroy it with the weapons we have here?

Luccinus will belt it a few times using the pick and power attack and see where it gets him.

The stone has hardness 8, 900 hp and DR 5/magic. If you have any way to destroy it, you are welcome to. Otherwise it is sufficient to simply report it to the Society. Although it will be a boon to the Society's future research into the cult of Zyphus, it will also prove a terrible burden.

My max damage from my glaive is 14... so on a lucky roll I'd deal 1 damage... can I take 900*20 on that? ;)

Seeing that her weapon is ineffective, Saki frowns, deciding to stop before she breaks the polearm. She'll have to insist (and perhaps call on Maldris to get him to put his word in too!) that the Society destroys it rather than keeps it around for "research"...

Hardness 8... Heavy pick with Power attack using 2 hands for me is 1d6 + 7... factor in the occassional crit (x4), its do-able. That said? I'll report it to the society
