Filios Philandril
|
Filios pops his head back into the room.
The Cleric speaks true. We need to be getting down there to investigate.
He heads back to the stairs and awaits the others before descending.
Kyroden Hawkstorm
|
Kyroden looks at the Cleric and says. So your god is a scavenger instead of truly having power over death. Kyroden chuckles and then moves over to Saki. Tell me about your god if you don't mind. He asks her in very inquisitive manner.
Luccinus
|
Soooo... I have the legal authority to send this one to Pharasma? Excellent. Bind and gag him well.
He addresses cultist.
You cause the LEAST problems and its a sentence I will carry out. I take no joy in killing but I have no problems with ending you.
He turns to the noble He's in your custody as the legal representative - I will return shortly. If he has attempted anything other than just breathing, advise me and I will execute him.
Saki Kanazawa

"What a twisted being," Saki murmurs. "What on earth do you see in such a deity? What do you hope to gain?..." The Tian woman shakes her head. "No, I understand. Power, wealth, the usual trappings. How unfortunate."
Saki appears to (tentatively) accept Luccinus' terms in regards to the cleric's sentence, at least for now, and she simply nods to the nobles present before following Filios to the stage.
The query from Kyroden surprises Saki, but she's more than happy to sermonise about her faith. "I follow Shelyn, the Lady of Chrysanthemums as we call her back in my homeland. She's also known as The Eternal Rose here in the Inner Sea. We advocate for love of all kinds, for little is more beautiful in this world than true love. Art and music and all other beautiful things in the world--from a natural vista to a child's laughter--are all sacred to her. I myself am sworn to protect the innocent from the sway of hate and lies, and to shelter the beauty of all beings from evil that wishes to crush it."

Filios waits atop the stage as the party moves up the aisle to join him. As Saki regales Kyroden with stories of her goddess, the doors to the bar burst open and three men carrying picks made from skulls and rib bones step through. Seeing the party, they raise their weapons and prepare to advance.

Saki Kanazawa

"More of them?" Saki sighs in frustration, eyeing the rather gruesome weapons with trepidation. Shifting her grip on her glaive to an offensive one, she strides down the aisles until she is in reach of both remaining warriors.
"Your captain is down! Surrender, don't throw your lives away!"
If they don't show any signs of giving in, Saki will swing her blade across the rows towards the one that threatens Kyroden, sure that Filios could take care of himself.

Saki Kanazawa
|
Seeing the zombies coming from behind them, Saki trusts in Filios and Luccinus to take down the remaining cultist and rushes back to protect Tiasar. (She was ostensibly his bodyguard, after all.) Not that the wizard was really having trouble, coating the zombie hoard in a gout of flame... unfortunately, that hot flame causes the edge of her new silken armour to singe, and the surprise causes her blow to be weak and ineffectual.

Tiasar lets out a burst of flame and singes the approaching undead. Kyroden approaches the remaining cultist warrior and smacks him with a mace. Filios has less success against the warrior but Luccinus gives him a blow to the head that sends him off to the Boneyard. Saki then approaches the undead and slices it in two.
Moll is still up but will need to make a double move to get to the zombies so I'll put her on hold for this round. Feel free to move your token right up to them and make a full attack next round to account for your double move this round.

Completely ignoring the zombie pathetically beating on her armour, Saki moves to take down one of the two threatening Tiasar. She winces as the wizard gets whacked with a rather strong blow. "Tiasar! Move back behind me!" She punctuates her words with a vicious slice right across zombie #2's neck.

Saki expertly slices one of the zombies in two, trying to protect her ally. Moll leaps across the theater and downs another. Kyroden touches the zombie and a burst of positive energy sends zombie bits flying across the room.

Luccinus

Interesting... we may want to search a few of the rooms up here. Seems there is more than a few cultists and zombies about.
| EndlessForms |
The party finds no other undead or cultists on the main floor, although they occasionally run into small groups of nobles holed up beneath a table or hiding in a storage room.
Luccinus
|
Down we go then... who has light sources? Can anyone make strong light if darkness is dropped on us?
Saki Kanazawa
|
Saki fumbles around in her backpack for a moment, withdrawing a hooded lantern and some oil. By the time she's finished lighting it, Tiasar is already lighting the way with magic and the others are quickly heading downstairs. She sighs with a half smile, and follows up at the back of the group.
| EndlessForms |
The party descends the stairs and comes into an underground storage area full of boxes and crates filled with old costumes and props. The area is well lit with many lanterns standing about. To the side, the party spies a tunnel system that has been carved through the wall. Glistening with water, the slick walls and floor of these tunnels were recently carved from the thick bedrock beneath Oppara. Well lit by standing lamps, the tunnels stretch into an adjacent chamber, seemingly carved from the bedrock as well.

Lead the way, Luccinus.
Filios will follow if it requires single file. If not, then he will walk abreast of Luccinus, searching for traps on the way.

The passageway splits but I assume you guys don't want to split up and go separate ways?
The adjacent chamber is made of smooth walls, covered in strange glyphs, and also lit by the same standing lamps. At the center of that chamber stands a tall stone dais. In the middle of the dais is a huge boulder which, by all appearances, fell a great distance before crashing here. The boulder glows with an eerie green light.
Standing before the dais is a large undead creature. Upon the dais stands a man in ragged clothing with a gaunt appearance. "Defilers!" he screams. "Kill them in the name of Zyphus! The Boneyard is denied to these ones!"
