Miso Jirogawa |

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
Odd to see this raven unalarmed by the noise.
Miso will cast mage armor.
Is the priest in the rubble on this map?

EndlessForms |

Yes, you could have healed on the way. Just wanted to speed it along to the temple. Also, I've added the unconscious priest to the map.

Zachary puts two arrows into the beast of earth and stone but his arrows don't seem to be hurting it as much. Terflynn heals Jennix, who also strikes the creature but has trouble harming it.
Terflynn recalls that earth elemental of this size usually reduce any physical damage done to them, can glide through the earth, and are better fighters when their foes are standing on the ground.

Miso Jirogawa |

The Kellid reels from the impact of the elemental's blow, knowing that another shot like that is likely to drop him. At the same time, it is his job to protect his companions; while it may not be successful, he must try.

Cursing the elemental's amazing dexterity, Jennix picks up his rapier, steps forward, and smacks it with his morningstar.

Jennix Caerwyllien |

Oops, hadn't looked at the map. Jennix won't pick up his rapier, opting to draw his axe as he moves forward to attack again. Also, I had my damage wrong. The morning star should be d8+3, so the damage would have been 9! Woohoo

Out of combat!

EndlessForms |

The old priest is only slightly wounded but unconscious from falling debris. When revived, he tells you that his name is Yin-Po. "Yes, the rock monster suddenly appeared and attacked my shrine just before you came. I was. . . caught off guard and couldn't stop it. There was a raven across the street-a large one with a blood-red feather. Such a thing is a powerful omen among my people, but I do not know where it went."
When shown the clay chit given to you by Uksahkka, Yin-Po quickly ushers through the rubble into an alley behind the shrine. He guides you to a secret door to the hidden cellar where Uksahkka is hiding, but the door has been battered down and Uksahkka is nowhere to be found.
After the DC 25 Perception:
Yin-Po is sorry to see that your friend is missing and offers his healing services to the party. He can channel enough to heal you all back up.

Terflynn |

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
craft alchemy: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
"This feather is too large for a raven. And this... is a blowgun dart." Terflynn says, examining the tip. "Tipped with Blue Whinnis. Not unlike what we found among the Corbies, if I remember correctly."

Miso Jirogawa |

The question becomes whether our episode with the bird men is somehow related to this disappearance, Miso says thoughtfully. Coincidence seems all too convenient.

EndlessForms |

Zachary finds no further traces in the hiding space behind the temple.
You can ask around town about the feather though:

Miso Jirogawa |

If EF is okay with Miso auto-aiding Zachary (Diplo +11), he will do so. If not, he'll roll on his own.

EndlessForms |

@Miso: yep that's fine.
The priest allows Terflynn to use one of the temple's back rooms to brew his potions.

Miso Jirogawa |

Upon returning from the journey into the city with the ranger, Miso speaks to the party. We should begin our search by investigating the rumors of a certain "Frozen Shadows" guild as referenced by the people on the street. They have risen in power here over the past few years. This feather is their signature.
With a bow to Yin-Po, Miso asks, Is there any wisdom you can impart about this clan?
