I gave Poulain his jungle initiative rather than his water one ...or should have been neither? If water +2, if neither -3.

Moscow is a nice city.
Hey could you all put your stats and stuff up when you post, mostly AC,HP,Initiative, Perception and stuff so I can guess. Oh it would be handy if you had you equipment listed under you character sheet. It makes my life easier and keeps the game moving at a brisker pace.

GMEDWIN |

What I mean, say if youre on vacation and cant touch your computer in a big combat. Well bot is when the GM does your turn so the game keeps going. What Ive seen on the boards is the longer players wait to take their turns the less interested they are in the game and then it dies.
To get the details up there so I can read and narrate is in the edit screen.

I'll see about doing that for Yoshi!
Help! How do you do that?
Thanks.
Go to Mem'basi's page and click on "Edit My Profile".
There is a list of Fields: Full Name, Race, Classes/Levels, etc.
In the Classes/Levels Field, Put in Druid 4; AC ??, etc.
Go to Yoshiyaru's page for an example.
If you want to get fancy (like I did), then use the "How to format your text" codes. I made that info "ooc" to offset it a little.
Cheers!

I just wanted to remind everyone that GMEDWIN wanted us to add some of our stats to the Class/Level Field of our Character Pages to make it easier on him.
Also remember to make sure it is easy to locate our Equipment.
Cheers! :)

Alright guys, some help for the newbie here. Hopefully I won't ask the first two questions more than this time.
a) Do we post in initiative order?
b) Do we post intended actions with intended results (simplified: I swing my sword and it strikes true) or just post intended actions (simplified: I swing my sword)?
c) Is Mem'basi close enough to grab a person(s) and guard him/her (them) with his body?

Yoshiyaru |

If you can, post in the listed order that GMEDWIN listed.
So, have Zimba take his action.
If he attacks, say something like:
The leopard charged forward to bite at the winged beast.
Zimba's bite attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
If it's a hit: Damage = 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Of course, the leopard has Pounce, so you'd actually do a Full Attack (including Rake), plus a separate Attack for the potential Grab!
EDIT: Well, and you can Preview to see the die results, so in this case that Bite almost definitely missed!
You can then tailor your description to match.

I'm fine with handling the rest of the transactions "off screen", so to speak.
If Yoshi gets a share of the money from the beast, he'll attempt to get a room at the Witchlight Inn (as Angelo suggested), and then meet them at Murdhein's place.

Yoshiyaru |

BTW: We got 200gp for the dragonell. With 6 characters that's 33gp each, with 2gp left over (which the group could spend on food/baths).
Everyone, feel free to comment on this arrangement! :)
@ GMEDWIN - How much to stay the night at the Witchlight Inn?

Angelo Carvesan |

Apologies all, we skipped forward a bit. Angelo fully intended to divvy out once we got off the street. Immediately at the inn Angelo would have split proceeds out evenly, and again before he heads out to the bloodrot. Angelo also would have invited Corvus to accompany him to the bloodrot, since she was at the original discussion.

Later, "I wish you luck with that lady you're traveling with... Chi ama non vino, donne e canzoni, rimane un pazzo per tutta la vita! bonus points for who I am quoting

Classical education fail. I did make a Nyquist Sampling Theorem joke earlier today though...

Mem'basi |

Hey remember I'm new to this so feel free to ignore my comments/suggestions. However, I do have plenty of experience about running PBEM games which have some overlap with PBPs. When something like a conversation comes up in my games (and it's going kind of slow) I usually ask my players to list a series of questions they would like to ask. These can be either ic (preferred) or ooc.
So I get from them:
1) ask about local rumors;
2) ask about whether he needs further help or can hire us or knows someone that can hire us
3) ask about his status in town
4) ask about how he met his lovely wife
This is just an example but I think you get the idea.
I then take these questions and write up 'what happened'. Yes, it's more work for the GM and yes, the GM will momentarily take over the PCs as he adds little mannerisms and things the PCs do (i.e., Poulain grunted at the Admiral's words, etc.) to make it a more 'fun' read but it seems to work for us.
Comments?

BTW, a reminder that the NPC Jamarl was somehow at the Castellany with us this AM, and volunteered to come along, claiming some knowledge of the identified region.
It will never enter Angelo's head to invite a Mwangi along as a peer in the expedition. He's having enough trouble tamping down his internal gear-grinding about Mem'basi.
But, if, as a party, we desire to bring some backup replacing/reinforcing after the lamented departure of Pirate Rob, the GM has handed us an opportunity on a platter. And Poulain and Corvus seem to have struck up conversation with him over dinner the prior evening...
Just sayin, before we head out to lunch with the pathfinders.

I vote we stay as we are. We have: magus, oracle/rogue, paladin, ranger, and druid. We don't know what we are up against and another 'PC' only means more work for the GM. Let's just see how we fare in a couple of encounters and then decide if we need some reinforcements. I'm sure if we do, the GM will find another way to get someone to join us.
Just my two cents.

Dude NAILED Poulain. Nice.

Yeah, he went through some real eye-opening s!%@ in his first stint in the expanse. He's a great vessel for all my self-loathing of the white race!
