Irrelevant since green only has a ranged weapon out, but ride-by attack in this instance would only negate the AoO from blue in this case.
Squire leaps into action, charging straight at the leader of the group and impaling him with a single well placed strike. He slumps backward and the stream begins to run red. His two thugs quickly drop their bows with a splash.
"n-n-n-no more! S-s-surrender! I surrender! We surrender!"

![]() |

Forgot she actually had ride-by. Though I don't know that it would have worked because it wasn't technically a charge. I was concentrating on the fact that they were using bows and that wolves are super fast.

Ah. You can jump as part of a charge assuming it's a straight line. Admittedly attacking 2 different targets with a mounted target is much... less clear.
The further brigand seems rather proud, even in defeat and asserts himself. "We may have failed, but at the next full moon our band will multiply and soon all of Silverhall will be under the rule of Aldona, mistress of the moon!"
He raises his arm showing a set of bite marks proudly.
The other is shaking in his (soggy) boots. "BOSS IS THREE MILES WEST OF HERE! DON'T KILL ME PLEASE!"

![]() |

Would Domitian have any insight to what this bite is, what it means or Aldona? Knowledge religion maybe? Rolling below.

"How many does your boss lady command? and what are her defenses?" Jack asks casually, moving to stand between the speaker and the defiant one, just in case the latter decides to try to silence the former.

![]() |

Domitan is not sure of any religious significance to the bite, however a closer inspection may reveal more.
If you wish to inspect, let me know who/what you're inspecting and give me a heal and/or perception check, plus any other check you feel is relevant.
It appears that fear is infectious, and the prideful thug is looking a little more shaky by the moment. "...you're not going to kill us right? I don't know how many there are... but she says there will be more of us soon. It's just a camp with a few more of us and the boss lady. Don't know how many right now... usually four or five of us."

Angrboda bends over and whispers in Droo's ear: "Ask them if they know Marek."
I give Squire Droo enhanced diplomacy.

Would like to inspect the bite on the bandit's arm. I have a fair idea that we are talking Werewolves, but Domitian has no idea

Gah! Post got eaten! Trying again...
Angrboda is able to discern a few interesting things. First off, the leader of the group, while severely maimed appears to be alive... although hanging by a thread. All of them share similar bite marks on their arms which look to have been left by some sort of predatory animal... likely a dog or wolf.
"P-p-please... I've told you all I know... We only get our orders from Wicent... and we've only seen Aldona a few times... she gives Wicent his orders. I don't know anyone named Marek... should I?"

![]() |

Droo strikes a dramatic pose in her saddle and says: "Either of you know a guy named Mar-What was it again? Oh, right--Marek?"
Just have one of Pazio's Web people reorganize this so it makes causal sense.

![]() |

Angrboda magically stabilizes the leader. He'd make a good bargaining chip, if nothing else.

![]() |

The thugs look terrified. "N-n-no... she'll definitely kill us now... and she'll make it really hurt."
The second, somewhat braver thug decides to take a firmer stance. He kneels and unhooks his scabbard from his belt, dropping it on the ground. He bows his head, presenting his neck clearly. "I'd rather take my chances with you... Take our haul and let us go free or kill us now. I'm not goin' back to her after blabbin..."

![]() |

Droo, can Vinegar follow the trail of these two back to their camp? We may not need them after all

![]() |

"No need... I'll draw you a map..."
He seems very anxious to get as far from her and you as possible.
Let me know if there is anything else you wish to do here and I'll move on to the next part tomorrow evening.

Did we lose Rusa? Moving on at this point anyways.
The camp is about 3 miles from the pond, and while tucked away in the trees, is simple enough to locate with your directions. A half-dozen tents form a semi-circle around a large fire pit in this clearing on a hillside. The smell of roasting meat wafts through the air, and a plume of smoke rises from the fire. Several large barrels sit beside the opening of the largest of the tents.
Also, you have the KO'd captive still. Are you bringing him with you?

"No. Why? I've got a light steel shield, and iron rations."

Two of the ambushers left with their gear, the boss you have in tow. He had a longbow with a fair amount arrows remaining. If you wish to take inventory after this encounter you can go ahead and do that, but right now I have to move forward.
From the open flap of the tent, a monsterous red-furred wolf-woman comes barreling out, growling as she rushes Droo. She wears a suit of chainmail and wields a sword. CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
EFFECT
Range 15 ft.
Target one creature
Duration 1 round/level or until discharged (see text)
Saving Throw Reflex partial; Spell Resistance no
DESCRIPTION
Once during this spell’s duration, you can spit a viscous liquid as a standard action. This liquid functions as a tanglefoot bag, except you do not have to make a successful attack roll to hit your target. The DCs to counteract this adhesive (to avoid being stuck to the floor, to fly, to break the adhesive, or to cast a spell) use the spell’s DC rather than a tanglefoot bag’s normal DCs. The adhesive persists for 2d4 rounds after you spit it.
