Once the swag has been sold and the priest placated, Thorfinn suggests repairing to the Rusty Dragon for dinner and preparation to return to the catacombs the next morning.
Gallus agrees with Thorfin that a good mug of ale would wash away the days work.
Heading back to the tavern you find Ameiko back to her duties tending to the place. She looks much better, obviously taking advantage of some healing magics.
Gallus has no plans other then 1d10 flagons of ale and off to bed)
Thorfinn wants to talk to Ameiko about what the group found under the city.
Bethana comes over to the table, a plate of your usual choices including drinks with her. She smiles as she sits everything down "My friends I can not thank you enough for bringing Ameiko back. She's been a little quieter than usual but who came blame her after everything that has happened. I'm just glad she is back and no worse for the ware, I don't know what we would have done without her."
"Thanks, lass. Y'know, we found a tunnel beneath the Glassworks, and a few foes to fight, to boot. Have you or Ameiko heard tell of such things?"
Bethana shakes her head "No I haven't heard of anything like that. You can check with AMeiko though." She curtsies and then heads off to tend to other patrons.
Gabriel will chat and eat a bit, but mostly will just try and get to bed early so he can rest and have time to polish his boots in the morning.
If Ameiko is around, Thorfinn will beckon her over to the party's table. "Ameiko, lass, you have a moment? There's things we'd speak to you about."
Ameiko finishes up what she was doing and comes over to the table, pulling up a chair, spinning it around and sitting, her front to the back. "Yes I thought you might." she lets out a short sigh.
Gabriel will offer her a drink and to share whatever tasty snack we have acquired for our table.
"Much obliged. That tunnel we found, it leads under Sandpoint, and we found a few fights to occupy our time while we looked around. There's something down there that delights in the misshapen, near as I can tell. Do you know anything about that, or perhaps know someone in this place who would? It'd be good to learn more before we go back down."

“We were wondering if you might point us in the direction of the history of what’s become Sandpoint, since all of us come from further afield,” Ioxeia adds. “The town seems a bit young for what we’ve found down there. I don’t know that there’s been a queen or king here for a very long time, but we found a statue of someone who looked like one. What was it, again? … Red marble, a beautiful human woman, but in pure fury… She was carrying a ranseur, and a book marked with a seven-pointed star. I don’t suppose you’ve heard any tales that might match who that could be, at least in legend?”
I suppose it could be some old soldier’s or mercenary’s vanity at work, rather than someone really important, but then the question becomes how the silly thing ended up in those tunnels, she muses.
Ameiko shakes her head "I couldn't really say I know anything about that. Though the seven-pointed star sounds familiar." She taps a finger on her lips, thinking. "I remember seeing Brodert with a book with that design on it. He's a local scholar, you can usually find him by around the Old Light. He might know more about the things you've seen."

"Thank you, Ameiko, we'll definitely look into it." Ioxeia rises from her seat, but pauses to choose her next words carefully. "I can only imagine what the past few days have been like for you. If you would rather not know, or at least wait for a bit, while we sort through the glassworks, say the word and we'll leave you in peace until you're ready."
"Our thanks, lass. We'll speak with this Brodert fellow on the morrow...'fore we go in again, I'm thinking." Thorfinn answers the peculiar half-elf's grin with a slightly less bloody smile of his own.
Ameiko shrugs to Ioxeia "What's done is done, the family wasn't perfect, though I'm the only surviving blood line..." she pauses for a moment "I suppose that means the Glassworks falls to me now." She sighs "And I was just getting used to running this inn." She lets out a brief smile "These aren't your burdens though. Yes, I think Brodert will be your best bet. If you need anything else don't hesitate to ask. I'm glad we have some of our own adventurers to look into these things, I'm happy those days are behind me."
The evening is uneventful, no ones comes knocking on your door in the early morning and you awakre, refreshed. You grab a quick meal before heading off to find this Brodert. Inquiring about him brings you to a house shadowed by the towering ruins of what appears to have been an old lighthouse.
"Hm. Good stonework." Thorfinn pauses before knocking on the door. "Gabriel, you talk better than any of us. You take the lead." Then he knocks.
Immediately upon knocking you hear noises inside, quite the ruckus actually as it sounds like lots of things falling to the ground.
A few moments later the door opens, an old man with wireframe glasses and a cat circling his feet looks at you all and shakes his head, almost in disbelief that there are people at his door. He clears his throat "Erhm... Yes, can I help you?"
Gabriel bows gently to the man, "sorry if we've bothered you but we've found a rather disturbing symbol while investigating the recent goblin attacks and are hoping you might be of some help. The symbol is a 7 pointed star, we saw it on a book being carried by a statue. Being by far the most prominent historian in Sandpoint, we were hoping you might help enlighten us."
The man nods as he listens to you and then stops suddenly as you mention the 7 pointed star. "Oh my... you've found a Thassillonian artifact have you? This is interesting indeed. Where did you say you found it again? The statue what did it look like?" He starts walking back into the house in a hurry, leaving the door standing open. The cat following behind him as he mumbles to himself and begins sorting through a large pile of books strewn across the floor.

Ioxeia jumps in as the group follows the odd fellow inside. "We found it in some ruins near town that the goblins' leaders seem to have used to prepare for the attack," she says circumspectly.
We might not want to spread it about too far that there are tunnels under Sandpoint, if only so that no one panics or decides to interfere.
She continues, "The statue was in red marble, a robed human woman - she was beautiful, but in an absolute rage. As Gabriel said, the statue held a book with the seven-pointed star on the cover, and a polearm of some sort... yes, a ranseur."
He finds an old book and plucks it out of the pile, flipping through the pages he stops on one and turns it around to show you the image of a woman that looks exactlly like the statue. "Is this the one?"
"The statue had weathered a bit, but that looks like an almost exact match."
He pushes the wireframe glasses up on his noce "Interesting... I should like to see it if I could!" he exlaims as his shuts the book. "This may significantly expand my research and allow me to garner some more credit with my other colleges in Magnimar." He sits the book down and goes to grab a walking stick as if ready to go right now.

Ioxeia is bemused by the burst of activity, and gently tries to dissuade the old man while leading the conversation back to what he knows. "As soon as we're sure it's safe, we'll be glad to show you, but we need to do some more scouting to make sure there aren't more goblins in the area. You know what they're like. But who was the statue supposed to be? I thought it might be an ancient queen, but none of us are experts in local history, so we couldn't place her."
"What do you know of the statue, and for next time we see it what notes would be especially useful to make?"
