Seeing the others scramble past her and Gallus, Ioxeia tightens her grip on her sword and swallows a curse on their bad luck. That complicates matters, she thinks, but she presents an attitude of defiance, shouting, "Go! We'll hold them back to cover you!"
She turns warily so that if need be she and Gallus can fight back to back. "I've got a spell for you, Gallus..."
Phew! Hopefully this will work; I'll post Ioxeia's actual actions after Gallus and the monsters take their turns.

Oh, I just wasn't sure if the bad guys were going to be dastardly enough to go after people running away. If not, Ioxeia will soak an attack from the blob, wait until Gallus gets close enough that she can take a 5-foot step away, and cast enlarge person on him and point him at the quasit.
As the Cheliaxian man approaches, Ioxeia cautiously breaks from combat and turns to him with a hurried set of instructions. "This magic will enlarge you so you can reach the flyer. Good? Good." Without waiting for his reply, she races through the spell's motions and incantation. As it takes effect, she turns to the monster still on the ground, calling a spark of power to bolster her shield as well as her sword.
Arcane pool: 9 rounds left on shield, 6 on sword, 2 points.
Gallus gets +2 Str, -2 Dex, -1 to attack and AC for 2 min., and his glaive does 2d8 now, along with the increased reach. Huh. Turns out enlarge person is close range rather than touch. I should know my spells better. :)

Gallus now able to reach the creature lets out an attack with his glaive.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Getting used to his new size though he manages to only hit the ceiling.
The creature now more concerned flies to the other side of the pool.
AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Managing to avoid Gallus' attempt to take advantage of her movement. Once there she begins attempting to hex Gallus.
Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Gallus suddenly rubs his eyes and lays down on the floor, falling asleep. The creature grins maliciously.

Oh dear. Is the blob monster still around, or has it disappeared back to wherever it came from?
I can't just leave him there, Ioxeia thinks, but maybe we ought to reassess our strategy. She hurries over to Gallus' side and shakes him awake, grimly aware of the grinning demon hovering on the other side of the pool. She also quickly scans the pool and the floor around it for the dagger the demon dropped.
If that's a returning dagger and not just something the quasit can do, there's a chance Ioxeia can use it to keep the demon distracted while Gallus closes, at least if she can find it.

Yes waiting on me, apologies. The blob monster is down I thought. Just haven't removed from the map
Ioxeia goes to wake up Gallus, she manages to do just that. Gallus stands back up swinging at the creature once again.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Gallus manages to connect finally, slicing into the creature, though not as effectively as he would have thought. The creature hisses with the pain but grins as the wounds begin to heal themselves slowly. Knowing that Gallus relies on the reach of his weapon to attack her the creature flies in close and attempts to bring the fight to him.
Bite: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
It manages to bite into Gallus but apparently hits some armor not doing any actual damage.
She is now 10 ft up, anyone not large with a reach could attack now.

Unfortunately, I left my longspear in my other purse. :)
Seeing that Gallus has managed to land a solid blow but that the demon is still out of her reach, Ioxeia stays close to support the human and shouts a threat at the quasit, "We'll tear your life out before you ever see the Pit, demon!" Intimidate: 1d20 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 1 + 4 = 20
Including the bonus for being bigger than the target. Also, while Gallus is enlarged I think his glaive should be doing 2d8 base damage.

            G-AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Gallus steps back from the creature and attempts to take another swing.
AoO: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 10 - 2 = 15
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Damage: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (4, 1) + 5 = 10
Still not use to his size he misses his mark.
The creature closes again to attack knowing he will eventually run out of space to move.
AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
???: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Attack: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 10 - 2 = 16
Damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
The creature gets up close again taking a bite and managing to break the skin.

Since Gallus seems to be holding his own despite the tiny demon's bite and claws, Ioxeia eyes the glimmer of the dagger it dropped, carefully notes its position, and reaches into the pool. It takes a few seconds for her to find it, but at last she emerges dripping, the weapon clenched triumphantly in her off hand. Hopefully this can help even the odds, depending on how much magic clings to it.
I'll take that full-round action now while it looks like the going's good. Arcane pool: 6 rounds left on shield, 3 on sword, 2 points.

Ioxeia goes into the pool with a splash and crosses over the skull barrier seperating the middle portion from the outer, she dunks her head under a few times trying to find the dagger but eventually comes across it and finds her way back out of the pool.
The others seem to have re-gained their composure and work their way back into the room. While Gallus moves back again continuing to attack the creature.
AoO: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
???: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Gallus gets another claw from the creature as he moves back and he appears to be moving a bit slower than before as if something else is having an effect on him. He swings but misses.
The demon comes in close once again continuing it's assualt.
AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
This time the Gallus manages to avoid the creatures bite.

            Ioxeia switches the dagger into her right hand, charges it with arcane power, and launches it at the demon. Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 1 + 1 - 4 = 13
I'm assuming the dagger has an enhancement bonus already, if it's returning, so that's the extra +1 in the attack roll above.

Ioxeia tosses the dagger at the creature but it goes wide, though it does return back to Ioxeia after the attack. Chim losses another magic missle which slams into the creature but it still remains flying, many of the earlier injuries now healed. Gabriel begins to inspire the others to do better while Thorfinn moves into the room to try and help.
Gallus steps back once again, now up onto the platform begining to run out of room to maneuver.
AoO: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Damage: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (5, 4) + 5 = 14
Gallus lays into the creature with a well placed strike, while not putting it down it definitely has an effect. She screams at the pain but only looks more determined to tear into Gallus.
AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
She bites into Gallus once again.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 - 4 = 9 Ioxeia takes heart at the fierce entrance of the rest of the group, but as the quasit stays close to Gallus she just can't seem to hit it as she tries to avoid the risk of hitting the man with her thrown dagger.

Thorfinn you wouldn't be able to reach as it is still up but at least now, being up on the platform it could be hit with reach weapons.
Ioxeia tosses the dagger again but it does not connect. Gabriel has similar luck as the bolt flies wide. Gallus moves back once more to attack the creature.
AoO: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Damage: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (1, 7) + 5 = 13
Gallus attacks but doesn't manage to hit. The creature moves in to continue it's assualt.
AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Damage: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (4, 7) + 5 = 16
As it moves in to get close to Gallus he brings his weapon back around and slices into the creature. It drops to the ground unmoving.

            Seeing Thorfinn get ready as the quasit drops, and knowing that his axe's iron is anathema to the demon, Ioxeia will happily let him finish the grisly work of making sure the thing is dead, but knowing that its wounds can close on their own, she does her best to make sure that doesn't happen while Thorfinn lines up an executioner's swing. Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 17 damage?: 1d4 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 9
That ought to help until Thorfinn can do his thing, unless something really weird happens and it survives a cold iron coup de grace. In which case, I suppose we can all hold it underwater.

"Good work, everyone!" Ioxeia gets up from beside the decapitated quasit, still tense as the excitement of combat gradually dies away. Wringing out her hair wet from her plunge into the temple's central pool, she looks around and adds with nervous levity, "So this is what an evil cathedral looks like."
She grows serious as she continues, "I think it must be dedicated to Lamashtu: that was how the water in the antechamber was blessed, and that demon was screaming that we were violating the Mother's sanctum - and we know that Lamashtu is also the Mother of Tsuto's lover."
Ioxeia scans the dead demon with detect magic, then concentrates while she climbs the stairs of the pulpit and repeats the operation at the strange orange pool from which the sinspawn emerged.
