Durlo says, "Hold on friend Sigrid. Do not move so much..."
He draws his greatsword and in one motion cuts the web away.

Sigrid tries to burst her bonds but is unable to, thankfully Durlo is finagles his greatsword in between some threads and cuts her free.
Hannah and Bartimaeus focus on taking down the spider and boy does Hannah land a brutal shot with her musket.
Angry, it slides down its web and tries to bite Hannah with its poison dripping mandibles.

Bartimaeus looks utterly confused at Hannah when the typical boom does not transpire. "Madam Hannah, is it broken?" This is not good...
Taking the opportunity to fire at the spider without risking anyone else's health, he pulls out his crossbow and fires.
Light Crossbow (Bless): 1d20 ⇒ 21d8 ⇒ 8
Alas, he pulls the trigger accidentally while drawing it, sending the quarrel deftly into the floor at his feet. I've had quite enough of ranged weapons for one day... "Madam Sigrid and Sir Durlo, I pray you have better luck!"

![]() |

Durlo, after having freed Sigrid then turns his attention to the spider. He maneuvers toward it and chops downward at its eyes and mandibles, trying for a clean strike.

And Durlo achieves the clean swipe he was looking for, bisecting the horrible arachnid clean in two. Its legs continue to twitch wildly before stiffening up.
Searching this room you guys find a number of web-wrapped dogs and giant rodents. In one such cocoon you find a dog wearing a Lapis studded collar with a silver tag reading "Kita" you imagine this collar might be worth a fair bit of gold.
Continue to search the first floor you guys find a spiral staircase that leads to the second floor. It seems to be the only way up short of climbing the outside of the building.

![]() |

"Good show Sir Durlo! The way forward seems clear. Who would like to lead the way?" Bartimaeus straights out his clothing and inspects the cocoons, examining them with a critical eye. Fascinating, giant spiders may be excellent specimens for reanimation should their capacity for generating webbing survive the process.

![]() |

"A lucky strike," says Durlo. But you can tell he doesn't quite mean it. He makes a motion with his hands, a prayer of thanks to his ancestors.
Durlo tightens the grip on this greatsword, on the lookout for anything as he moves toward the staircase.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

![]() |

Hannah takes a moment to clear the bad cartridge and puts a fresh one in.
Looking over to Barti she finally replies. No just a bad cartridge. Just had to clear the bad charge. Looking over at the dead spider, she shivers once more and steadies herself. Ready to move on?

![]() |

"yes! Let's continue!" Sigrid moves forward next to durlo and starts to move up the staircase.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Before they depart up the stairs, Durlo turns to Bartimaeus and hands him a simple, gnarled wand and says, "If you would be so kind...to heal me should I need it after the fighting, and any others that may be needing it."
-Posted with Wayfinder

![]() |

"Of course Sir Durlo. As you wish," Bartimaeus says, putting the wand in his belt for easy access.
"Madam Hannah, that giant spider managed to get a few fangs in your flesh, would you care for some healing?"
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
The wand sputters a little as it comes to life for the first time, releasing a brief wave of healing light. Hannah's wounds manage to close fully before it wears off.

![]() |

Grigor examines the webbing looking for any cocoons or other signs that might indicate a lost pathfinder is here.
"Anyone see evidence our lost pathfinder headed up? If he was exploring alone, that spider could be very deadly."

GM Cody |

Sorry for the delay guys, paizo site was crazy and it seemed like any time I had a chance to post Paizo just wouldn't work for me
As you guys ascend the staircase, the smell of rotten eggs and garbage intensifies. Opening the door, Racks for weapons line the walls of this chamber; above the racks hang various shields, pieces of armor, weapons, and standards on display. Most of the racks are empty, but a few weapons remain in place. A horrible stench fills the room as well, akin to the smell of rotten eggs mixed with the reek of an open sewer.

He quickly covers his mouth with his scarf to block out as much of the tainted air as possible. With his free hand, he pulls his greenish wand and a familiar grey haze rushes to aid his allies.
{Draconic} "You will not live to see your next meal," he says coldly to the creatures.
