I don't think I've seen such a string of missed attacks ever. I swear that has to be the 6-7th miss from Torch, and he's not even facing a difficult AC! He's got a crit in the oven for sure, because its long overdue!

@Mugmuff - Rip and the other goblin are moving to attack Bart, so they will provoke with their movement. You can make an AoO if you want to go ahead and drop invis before your turn.

Torch continues to swing his flaming stick to no effect, the goblins around him ducking and dodging with grace. Mugmuff slashes at Ripnugget, but the goblin refuses to go down, clenching his teeth and fighting on. Bart, tiring of the crossbow shots, tosses a pair of javelins at the goblin, skewering him with both shots and pinning his corpse to the wall behind him. Flappy hovers in the air, biting at one of the goblins threatening Torch, but misses by a considerable amount.

In the front room, with the gunpowder goblin down, the other goblins swarm towards Torch in an attempt to finally take down the stubborn alchemist, while a pair of the remaining goblins go for the bat that just joined the action. The goblins on Torch slash and stab, but can't seem to land a solid blow on the unnaturally lucky goblin, who holds his torch high in defiance, assured he will be able to brain one of these smelly goblins soon enough. Flappy takes a minor wound from one of the creatures, but is mostly unharmed. The two goblins in the back room slash at Bart, but their weapons ring off of his solidly built stolen human armor. In the midst of the combat the shaman continues to sneak away from the fight, hoping to make a clean getaway.

Flappy takes 2 damage, and thats it.

The gobs are up!

There was a better way to tackle this encounter, but the shot from Nurpus really was "off script" and kinda called down the thunder. LOL

Gobbo!

Torch, finally realizing that instead of swinging his torch in midair, hoping to drop some sparks on his enemies, tries hitting them with it directly instead, and slams the weapon into the closest goblin, braining the creature and sending it tumbling to the ground in a burning pyre of flesh and torn armor. Beside him, Flappy bites deeply into one of the smaller goblins, nearly tearing the creature's head off in the process and killing him outright. In the back room, as Ripnugget moves to circle Bart, Mugmuff leaps from invisibility and drives his dogslicer deep into the base of the goblin chieftain's skull, the tip of the weapon erupting through the goblin's mouth, open in shock. Bart uses the sudden distraction to hack down the remaining wounded goblin, leaving the two standing alone, several dead bodies surrounding them.

Two of the goblins in the front room continue to harass Torch as one of the creatures hacks at Flappy as the shaman bolts in from the back room, headed for the door. All three attacking goblins bumble about with clumsy attempts at combat, but fail to even come close to landing a blow against the goblin heroes.

In a massive turn of events Ripnugget is dropped along with two other goblins, and the tide has definitely turned. Four remain, including the fleeing shaman.

The gobs are up! The end is near!

Mugmuff slices off RIpnugget's head and heads for the open doorway with it, ready to call a halt to the combat.

He holds the head up in the doorway and calls out...

Torch, emboldened as much by his own success as the cheers from the other room, tries to take out the gobbo that has stepped up to replace its fallen comrades.

"If he doesn't surrender, get 'em!"

Torch clubs another goblin over the head as Bart and Mugmuff emerge from the back room, the rogue carrying the severed head of the former chieftain and holding it up high for those goblins remaining in the front room to see. At his declaration of victory all eyes fall on him, then on each other as the goblins consider their fate. With their leader dead there was no sense throwing their lives away against these vastly superior foes, even though two of them were down and likely dead. After some hesitation, the remaining goblins drop their weapons and fall to their knees, bowing and groveling before the heroes. The shaman, so eager to escape the wroth of the terrible foes, sees the other goblins prostrating themselves before the attackers and immediately follows suit, knowing full well that his life would be forfeit if he did not.

"All hail chief...dem...who be chief?" one of the goblins blurts out, obviously a bit confused on who would now lead the assembled tribes with Ripnugget gone. The other goblins look at each other a bit confused before the shaman speaks up, in a tone that shows he is rather proud of himself. "A Moot! We must call for a Chieftain Moot! Let the Moot decide!"

End of combat, obviously. Well done!

gm is that the normal way of doing things - a chieftain moot? or does killing the king make us the new king?

Mugmuff addresses the shaman. "First you heals our girl here... either you's got a spell or potion or you knows where Rippy had one... get it and give it to us." He points to Agna as the one that needs healing.

A "Chieftain Moot" is the way goblins typically nominate a new goblin the event of the loss of the existing chief. In this case, you are all candidates for chieftain, so you will need to compete with each other to see who will make the best chieftain. To a goblin, simply nominating someone makes no sense at all, and wouldn't be something the goblins would consider official, so all of you nominating one of the group won't work.

More will be explained once you sort out the issues with your downed campanions.

No one has officially searched anyone yet. FYI :)

Looking at the rogue, the shaman shakes his head back and forth, his large ears smacking against his cheeks as he does so, "Magics all gone. Me healed chief, no more left. All gone." he explains, sighing at the end of the statement. Obviously his magic is limited compared to others the heroes had dealt with.

Searching through the corpses, Mugmuff finds lots of mundane gear, however Ripnugget had a nice set of breastplate armor on him as well as a very nice dogslicer. He also had his dented crown and three potions.

Split across all of the goblins you scrounge up another 76gp in coins of various types.

Mugmuff claims rippy's dogslicer and slips it into his belt in place of his old one and carries the loot to the main room... he starts opening potions and pours the first one down agna's throat... (you know that motion miscibility isn't a thing in pathfinder - that was 1st edition d&d, but hey, go for it if you want to.. .might be fun... or deadly

It's a crying shame they did away with the potion miscibility table. Even OSRIC 86ed it.

Mugmuff unstoppers another vial, pouring it into the mouth of Agna-Tree. As the liquid splashes across the bark-like lips of the poor knocked out goblin the wounds on her body begin to quickly knit themselves back together, and her cheeks begin to take on a more flushed color of green. However, she still remains unconscious! Stubborn gob!

Snake eyes on the roll, go figure!

Mugs shakes Agna a bit roughly (he is a gob after all) and if she doesn't wake up, he pours the last bottle down her throat.

Mugmuff gives the former-goblin-corpse a violent shake, knocking her head against the wooden floor several times in the process. Just as he is about to uncork the last vial and pour the contents into her mouth her eyes flutter open and she struggles to focus on the face of the rogue leaning over her, vial in hand and in the process of administering liberal goblin first aid.
