Mugmuff watches for a while, not worried about sleep to heal... but eventually he wakes Nurpus with a kick and says softly... "You watch now... me needs sleep." Regardless of Nurpus' reaction to being woken to keep watch, Mugmuff goes to sleep.

The goblins, their plans made and their wounds healed, head out into the square towards the town hall, which appears to currently be home to those most loyal to the goblin chief. They are stopped at the door by a pair of well armed and armored goblin guards, dressed in a piecemeal amalgamation of human sized armor, bent and twisted to fit the smaller goblin bodies. Each holds a man sized longsword in their hands as if it was a greatsword meant for a goblin, and they cross them as the group nears.

Explaining their need to report to Ripnugget, the two guards quickly retract the blades and allow the goblins into the hall, going back to their duties. The group quickly finds Ripnugget in the main room, seated on his new throne, a human sized chair piled with cushions. Several adoring female goblins attend to the chief, feeding him from silver platters and pouring drink into his oversized human tankard. Upon seeing the goblins enter, the chief leaps to his feet and claps his hands together loudly, "Yes! Is bestest gobs back from mission! Yous alls make ready for Chief Ripnugget's new mansion yes? Many fine treasures and rooms of soft things?!" His eyes gleam with the promise of fineries and indulgences that the goblins have come to inform him about.

Just as Agna is starting to speak to Rippy, a big-ass bullet rips right past her head at Rippy. "AAH! Why you do that now, numb-head??? Oh well, guess we's fightin'!"

Torch blinks in surprise when the shot goes off. He had expected a fight, but not quite so soon. He prepares a fiery bomb to hurl at the first guard through the door.

So, I'm going to count that shot as a surprise action, because...who saw that coming? lol

As the goblins line up to report in to the HGIC, or Head Goblin In Charge, Nurpus shoulders Purpus and a shot rings out from the weapon, hitting Chief Ripnugget squarely in the chest and knocking him back several feet! All around the room goblins look up in complete shock and dismay at the event, scrambling to their feet to either tear the attacking goblin's face off or run in terror. From outside the door there's the round of something steel hitting the ground, no doubt a guard's weapon which was dropped in fright at the sudden booming explosion of gunpowder.

Initiative!

The big chief, reeling from the attack, looks with shock at the goblins amassed before him before dropping his hand to his belt and pulling forth a potion. He quickly gulps down the liquid and instantly vanishes.

The group hears goblins moving about in all directions, and its only a matter of moments before they are up to their armpits with angry goblins!

The party is up! Map is updated!

I'd prefer not to do a readied action, Nurpus basically gives them a second to react, then shoots. If I remember correctly, both talking and dropping a weapon are free actions that can be done outside of your turn.

If neither surrender, he shoots the north one.

Ah, boo. Would have been great if he could have reloaded Purpus and blasted Rippy to hell before he even got to act. LOL.

Agna pulls out a scroll and casts it, shooting sparkly goo all over the room.

Casting glitterdust to hit Rippy's invisible stupid a$$. Reflex DC 13 to avoid being blinded, but no matter what he's covered in glitter. 10-ft radius spread is drawn on the map. Since he pulled out a potion (move) and then drank it (standard) he should still be in the same spot.

Bart moves back to the door, quick draws his precious oversized smithing hammer and shoves it through the door handles in an attempt to bar the door.

Sorry Torch, I thought for a moment I shouldn't do this because it may mess up your ready, but then I remembered we're goblins...

Going to bot Mugmuff, since he's awol for the moment.

Nurpus shouts a challenge at the guards, who look at each other for a moment before gripping their weapons firmly and stepping in the direction of the party. Purpus rings out again and blasts one of the guards directly in the chest. The goblin staggers for a moment but maintains his balance, looking doubtfully at the gunslinger. Agna pulls out a scroll and chants a few arcane words, calling forth a shimmering cloud of dust, which quickly coats the area, including the recently invisible Mugmuff and Chief Ripnugget. Both shake their heads vigorously to remove the blinding dust from their eyes. They manage to clear their eyes just enough to notice how close they are to each other. Torch glances at the door, ready to lob a bomb at the first guard through the door. As Bart slams his weapon through the handles, the pyromaniac goblin frowns before spinning around and launching the bomb at the nearest goblin guard, the flames washing over the goblin and boiling his skin and blood. It falls to the ground, a charred husk of its former self.

From the other side of the door a solid slam can be heard, but it does little other than shake the haft of the hammer thrust through the door handles. Several doors in the room burst open as goblins swarm quickly into the room. Several appear to have been unprepared for the conflict, partially armored or wielding kitchen implements or other makeshift weapons. Ripnugget glances around before quickly retreating through one of the opened doors to the west, shouting "Kill thems gobs! Kill thems all! Betrayers! Murderers!" Two of the goblins flank Mugmuff, his form clearly visible due to the coating of magical dust, and stab at him with their knives. One of the attacks lands, drawing a thin line of blood across the rogue's face. Another of the goblin guards rushes Nurpus, chopping at him with his axe, but the gunslinger nimbly dodges away.

Mugmuff takes 3 damage.

The party is up!

Agna uses a point from her arcane reservoir to cast summon monster III as a Standard action, summoning a Dretch right next to the door that Rippy just went through. "He went through door, he covered in glittery! Go gets him!"

The dretch can act right away, so can you reveal what's on the other side of the door so I can decide what to do? :)

Mugmuff moves out of flank, glaring at the glowing motes on his skin and clothes... grumbles something under his breath as he attacks the one that hit him last round.

You can't currently see his square, and since you cannot speak Abyssal you cannot give commands to your summoned creature. It will attack the closest enemy on your behalf, but not respond to complex commands. You should know that. :)

Because placement matters, going to wait to see where Agna places the dretch. This also should hopefully give Nurpus a chance to check in. I'll try to check back in later this afternoon to update.

Nurpus uses one of his precious paper catridges to reload Purpus quickly then chases after Ripnugget.

Move action 1: Acrobatics to get by gobs near Mugmuff.

This is going to hurt. At least those weren't attacks I guess, because they would have been misfires. Nurpus also has 4 more squares of movement, but I'm not sure where to move due to fog of war. I'll move the rest once its cleared.

I know I can't see his square, I said I was placing the dretch right next to the door he just went out. :-P

Gretcha, realizing her gaffe in not being able to communicate with the dretch, curses wildly. Then she tries to get her point across to it by pointing at Mugmuff, then pointing at the door, and tosses in a few words that she CAN recall of Abyssal, like "shiny" and "out there".

I'm gonna see if you'll go with me on this one... Agna will use her Move action trying to get the dretch to understand her. If her roll is high enough, maybe she can remember just a couple of words in Abyssal thanks to her knowledge of other planes, just enough to get the dretch to go after the shiny guy that went through the door? If not, she'll get frustrated and just point at the nearest guard, which the dretch will attack.

@Agna - I'm willing to roll with that. But keep in mind your limitations in the future, I might not be so easy :) Also, you have to burn 3 points from your arcane pool for Summon III, it looks like you only spent 1 point.

@Nurpus - I'm assuming you've forgotten the fact that using acrobatics to avoid AoO's requires moving at half speed unless you want to incur the -10 penalty to the check.

Arga chants a few arcane phrases and a disgusting looking creature appears in the doorway, reeking of sulfur. The creature lurches through the doorway and out of sight. Torch whips out another bomb and tosses it a few feet away, hitting another goblin square in the face as the glass shatters and liquid fire washes over the poor creature, burning it to a charred lump. Mugmuff shoves his dogslicer into a goblin next to him as Bart swings his oversized weapon at the game foe, missing widely. Nurpus rushes forward, clumsily trying to avoid attacks as he moves towards the doorway. He doesn't get five feet before the goblin next to him sticks a leg out in attempt to trip the gunslinger, sending him crashing to the ground in a heap.

As goblins pile into the room they quickly move to engage the attackers, defending their beloved chief, as the female goblins quickly scurry away and hide. The goblins attacking Bart and Mugmuff completely fail to find an opening in the two goblin's defenses. Nurpus, on the ground and vulnerable, feels the bite of steel in his side as one of the goblins manages to connect with an attack on the prone gunman. From the other side of the barred door the sound of weapons slamming into the wood can be heard, creating a loud splintering sound.

The dretch vanishes into the next room as Nurpus fails to leave his square due to a well placed trip critical.

Nurpus takes 7 damage and the gobs are up!

As a note I fully expect the outside goblins to eventually break my hammer and come rushing in.

Bart steps himself around ripbuggy's minions confident his bulbous head will protect him. He will then rummage around in his pants Provoking from the goblins flanking him

where he will pull out a blasphemous scroll and attempt to read it as he eats it.

Bart's muscles grow in stature to match his head.

Torch takes advantage of the fact that no enemies are near him and begins preparing an extract. He cackles gleefully as he quickly adds reagents to the fluid.

Agna steps forward and casts another summoning spell, this time summoning several more toads.

Gobbo!

Bart leaps between two goblins and begins fishing around in his pants, making himself vulnerable to a moment. The two goblins look at the anti-paladin and then each other with a look of confusion before both heaving their weapons over their heads and attempting to prevent the goblin from pulling out whatever terrors lurk within its breeches. One of the goblins misses badly, while the second attack is deflected by Bart's study armor. Nurpus, quickly reloading Purpus before taking aim at the goblin who sent him sprawling, ducks under one of his attackers and completely misses the second attackers's legs sweeping in once more, sending the poor goblin tumbling back down to the floor into a heap. The point of Purpus aims from the ground at the tripping goblin and the weapon goes off, filling the room with a resounding thunder. The blast catches the goblin square in the chest and staggers him for a moment, but he stands defiantly against the gunslinger, once more in a vulnerable position. Agna begins chanting another spell, at which point the two skulking goblins with crossbows nod at each other before firing bolts at the spellcaster in an attempt to disrupt her casting. The first bolt misses by a fair amount, but the second attack catches her in the shoulder, clipping her and spinning her around slightly. The attacker shouts out "Magics! Its got magics!" prompting the other goblins to take notice of the female. Torch stands quietly in the back, mixing up something that positively reeks.

From outside, more sounds of slamming and splintering wood thunder through the door, and a few splinters fall inward from the blade of a weapon just peeking through the door. The two goblins armed with crossbows reload their weapons, leveling them at the finger waggling goblin and waiting for something. The two goblins flanking Bart continue to attack the well armored goblin, but they fail to connect with any solid blows. Mugmuff also finds himself flanked but the agile goblin ducks and dodges as the attacks fail to hit him. Nurpus, on the ground once more, narrowly avoids a powerful attack from one of the stronger looking guards, but gets clipped by his ally's flanking attack, taking a minor wound in the process. The remaining two goblins rush towards the spellcaster, trying to chop her arms off and prevent her from summoning any more evil beasts from the great beyond. The larger guard lands a devastating blow against Agna, his weapon nearly taking her arm off at the shoulder, which sends her reeling and disrupts the magic of her spell. From beyond the doors the sound of combat erupts, the dretch ovbiously engaging something out of sight.

Gretcha takes a total of 21 points of damage and will need to make a DC 31 concentration check to maintain the spell. Not to mention she says ouch. Nurpus gets hit for 3 points of damage and finds himself back on the floor. Bart and Mugmuff prove too hard to hit by peon goblins and are upsetting me.

The dice are plotting against Agna this combat. In that round I rolled 3 20's against her :)

21 damage puts her at -4, so the spell goes away either way. @Trips: I was wondering if you'd allow me to treat summon minor monster as if it was similar enough to summon monster I that I can cast it as a Standard action as well as long as I'm willing to spend a point from my reservoir on it? It doesn't make a lot of sense that she can cast all her other summoning spells as a Standard but the weakest one still takes a full round. Up to you, though.

You cannot move prone without accepting an AoO. There are feats for that specifically, but it isn't something Acrobatics allows. You might be thinking the old 3.5 Tumble rules.
