Cleaver, I think you can lethally attack Red from where you stand with your iterative if you want to. Or 5’ step to the east and do the same to Blue.
“Cleaver, good job on Dreng! I think the safety-catch is off on the others now.”
GM Burglar |
Wait, were you counting the -4 to hit for nonlethal? Not sure if the attacks on the sheet are entirely up to date; I could see a +4 gain to hit between one scenario at this level.
If not, that last wave of attacks missed and claw-dreng still stands, though the original critical was still a critical, including fatigue (standard AC is 20). Any reasonable retconning w/ keeping die rolls is open, but with they were this round...

GM Burglar, I’m confused … If everyone is back from Spring Break, is it worthwhile getting an update on our opponent’s status, where we are in the round and whose turn it is?
Ander Jotum |
I think Ander is up.
Ander, still invisible, moves toward the prone clothes rack and chops at it with his blade.
Attack: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 11 + 2 = 33
Damage, Arcane Strike: 1d10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 + 2 = 14
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 11 + 2 = 25
Crit Damage: 1d10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 2 = 10
Still on vacay, and can't edit map.
GM Burglar |
That is correct, though I'm double-checking that the nonlethal to-hit penalty was getting applied since +16 looks like Varg's standard to-hit. The sheet also says he's still 3rd level, so I wanted to make sure before skewing things against you guys. Alternatively, if it is the case that Dreng is still up but Ander redirects his attack to Dreng (since he's proven hearty enough to likely survive even a Magus crit), we pretty much get to the same result without any real edits to reality. And with Dreng being the biggest threat in this fight (possibly the scenario), I'm likely going to go with that next content post unless Tektite objects by the time I wake up and post again.
Coincidentally enough, I have no dependants so Spring Break really isn't a thing for me anymore. "I take two vacation days off to get my car fixed" is a thing, though, so I should be around plenty for the next few days.

GM Burglar |
Backtracking via given information on sheets, it looks like his standard to-hit should be +16/+9 (combining the effects from the +1 Furious Axe negating the first Power Attack penalty as per Furious Focus), so it looks like the -4 wasn't in. Going with the Ander-based taketown, to keep continuity and some amount of momentum through this vacation-ous time and since there's a big enough strength disparity between Dreng and the constructs that kinda identifies him as the main threat.
- Ander moves up to the heavily-beaten Dreng and takes the last swing needed to bring him down! As it's his only wound, he is clearly still alive, but the pain has rendered him unconscious!
- The unintelligent constructs stand up (red provoking from Varg.) Red, barring another timely crit simply attempts to slam the nearest non-Dreng person; Varg!
Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 211d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Blue attempts to stand and move across the difficult grease... Acro: 1d20 ⇒ 8 ... though it fails and possibly slips! Ref: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 It instinctively stops moving and doesn't fall down, though!

I do not see your calculations coming out to standard +16/+9, I am +16/+11 when Raging, as far as I know. Varg is, and always has been, 7th level. Are you suggesting that it is -4 to hit when trying to inflict non-lethal damage? I was not aware if that rule. I always thought you could attack as normal, and if you wanted to, you could designate the damage as non-lethal.
GM Burglar |
Nonlethal Damage with a Weapon that Deals Lethal Damage: You can use a melee weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage instead, but you take a –4 penalty on your attack roll.
No worries on not knowing it; it's one of those random things I've picked up on only because I did it so often in the yesteryear of Taldor Faction Missions. Too many people that really don't want to come back to their Glorious Homeland of Gold (or leave wherever they are, really.) I only just remembered it when I posted, myself.
To correct my own comment, though, my "standard attack" for Varg includes Power Attack (because what fine warrior fails to attack powefully?) Furious Focus only removes the penalty on the first swing; not all of them, so iterative to-hit won't be "Primary - 5," which seems contrary to what's been rolled so far. Usually, the difference doesn't matter and I just keep rollin', but I figured I'd note it since it did cut close here. I believe it's the biggest offender of "Short Text Description is Inaccurate for Feats" problem some of the bigger books have. The "3rd level" thing was just a note on the CR3 listed in your sheet's block, that I found amusing.
Plus, I've had so much time today, what with my car in the shop for a 3-part fix that won't even be done until maybe tomorrow that I need to entertain my brain with something.

Yeah, the car is at around 94,000 miles, so stuff's just kinda degrading at this point.
- Luisila gives Varg luck!
- Panfalcon fires off another acidic ray, damaging the blue one!
- Varg swings his axe twice, each finding a little bit of hardness to the first frame (though he still does a sizable amount of damage!) He then hacks over the frame to his southwest in a single chop to his southwest, confirming it is not a threat! BoL is for all d20 rolls for 1 round, by the way, so the first attack would get a second roll (though only rolling a crit would really change anything).
- Lin takes the space the one-hit wireframe stood and trips Blue back onto the Grease, to give Ander a safer target!
- Ander slashes at the easier-to-hit wireframe, connecting easily! While he does chop a gouge into it, it doesn't seem to have gotten through its hardness!
- The mindless wireframes continue their song and dance; Red identifies Varg as "nearest target!" Blue stands, provoking from Ander! It will then attempt to slam him!

Howi picture that area to Varg's left; there's enough space for one creature normal, squeezing for two; pick either the north or the south square in each column for threatening purposes and overlap your picture with the actual wall to represent that.
