He is not so distracted as to miss Ulyi's charge, and is able to dodge out of the way due to his defensive readiness.

Barkot stalks over to Thug 1. "Didn' hafta make dis a fight. We told youse guys ta take a powder. Ya didn' lissen." He takes a clumsy swipe with his longsword at the thug, missing by a yard or more.

Flanking obviously doesn't matter for Barkot this round, but it still might for Ulyi...

Celia's arrow hits Thug 3. I'm going to rule that Reillana was firing at the thug not currently in Melee (Thug 3). No Melee penalty makes that a hit.

Squint is up. Sorry for short post, this will probably be my last post till Monday and I wanted to get results up.

”Ulyi!” Squint cries out before focusing his arcane energies on the thug racing towards them (Thug 3).

Cast Grease on the 10 foot square extending behind Thug 3. Reflex DC 13.

Squint then draws his weapon and readies himself.

Sorry - not sure what I was thinking, not as though it was unclear. Hopefully the others will take down all of the bad guys before Barkot’s turn does come up so we don’t have to use that roll!

He attempts to walk out of the Grease, but loses his footing instead, falling to the ground. He attempts to stand back up but can't even get his hands under himself.

Sorry - emergency at work yesterday.

Barkot starts to take a swing at the blue thug, then checks himself and lets him go.

Whaddaya doin’? Let da weasel run.

Ducking out of reach of the brute's blade, Reillana knocks another arrow and takes aim at the thug's throat. "Squint, get clear!" she calls to her companion.

5ft Step, swift activate my Luck ability, Readied Action to shoot once Squint's out of melee with Green. Since Squint goes before me the Readied part might not be necessary.

OK GM I placed Celia 40' from the last thug I fired at about 10' behind Squint. Don't know if this is correct but feel free to move me where I'm suppose to be. Will post my impending action in a spoiler so as not hold up the game.

That placement is fine. (I had been using Isan's token as a placeholder for you and you placed the new token right next to it).

Squint recalls that this thug was the one that stabbed his dear eidolon. His grip on his dagger tightens.

"For the Love of Luck!" Squint cries out, then buries his dagger in the thug's thigh.

Invoking Adaptable Luck (+2 luck bonus before I roll), further modified by the Fate's Favored trait (extra +1 bonus to any luck-enhanced roll).

Melee Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 191d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Squint then quickly shuffles back from his foe.

I'll take a five foot step back. Moved on the map.

"Let him have it!" the suddenly blood-thirsty halfling calls out.

I think it was the guy who fled that stabbed Ulyi. This guy hasn't even made a Melee attack, yet :)

Both attacks hit. Green looks around, sees one of his buddies on the ground, another fled, and he is nearly surrounded by enemies who are suddenly very effective.

He turns and runs.

"Let 'im run," Barkot growls. "We got one of da bastids." He pulls a whetstone from his pouch and begins sharpening his sword. "'At's alls we need, ain't it?"

He casts Sotto Voce again, targeting red. DC 13 Will save or shaken for 1 round - if successful, someone else could try intimidating red while his saves are down to keep him shaken and more amenable to answering questions.

GM, did the fleeing thug (green) do a double move, and did he run through a Squint-threatened square?

Ulyi races after the fleeing thug.

40 foot move speed. Reaches the thug exactly via a charge.

He did a double move, but he was able to do so without moving through anyone's threatened area

Red, already on the ground is not able to ignore the menace of Barkot's words.

Ulyi charges after Green, but the Thug is able to deflect the eidolon's attack with his shield.

Blue continues running and rounds the boarding house, just out of view.

Paeral's arrows zips past Ulyi, striking Green in the back. He falls to the ground, bleeding.

Red uses a full round action to crawl 5 feet out of the grease, cursing as he does so.

"Damn you all! The mistress will see to you!"

My bad couldn't bring the map up on mobile and just guessed I was within 30'...subtract 1 from the damage...

Reillana advances on the grease-coated thug, nocking another arrow with a feigned calm. Drawing it back until the fletching brushes the edge of her mask she takes aim at his prone form.

"It's not too late to surrender still, human."

@Note: Green is not bleeding out, but looks very unsteady. He drops to his knees and pleads with Ulyi not to eat him.

Squint makes his way behind the glowering Ulyi, his dagger brandished.

"I'd listen carefully to what my friend has to say," Squint says as he does his best furrowed brow. "They are, after all, part shriezyx - you know those horrible creatures that attack Magnimar long ago? They have been known to eat humans out of spite."

Intimidate Aid Another: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 1 = 19 SUCCESS! - Ulyi gets a +2 to their Intimidate check!

Green throws his morningstar to the side, then rips off his shield and throws that to the side for good measure.

Cowering on the ground in front of Ulyi, he waits.

Blue continues running, and disappears into the warren of streets making up Underbridge.

Red has a particularly intelligent moment, looks around himself at the group surrounding him with drawn weapons, and decides to concede. He throws his morningstar to the side.

"The Mistress will flay us slowly for this failure. Please, just let us run. We won't come back, I promise."

Combat Over

Paëral nods. "Who is your mistress? Natalya?"

Red looks startled, then tries to cover it up. "Who's that, you say? Natalya? Never heard of her. No, no, my Mistress is .... Sophia. Yes, yes, Mistress Sophia"

Barkot eyes the red thug dubiously. He glances to the others, silently checking to see whether they are buying this "Sophia" business. Still trying to decide whether or not to believe the goon, he glosses over the issue for now.

"Flayin's a lotta work. What's da big deal 'bout stoppin' us goin' inta dat house that yer mistress'd flay ya for not doin' it, insteada jest choppin' off a hand or somet'in'?"

Red gets a defiant look in his eye. "I do what I'm told, and paid, to do. If Mistress, uh, Sufi says that nobody gets in the house, that's good enough for me."

Flopping around onto his backside with a squelch from his grease covered clothes, Red crosses his arms.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Laughing derisively, Reillana twirls her long fighting knife. "Do you take us for fools, street rat? Your mistress isn't Sophia and the lie was clumsy. If you've nothing useful to share perhaps we should just truss you up and leave you in the street for the scavengers. Who knows, you might get lucky."

Celia is frustrated at the tough’s answer. She draws closer menacingly, Do you know where I’m from friend? Underbridge! You best not be trifling with us or I know a particularly active nest of rats in the refuse dump That , I’ll introduce you to! Now speak up before the squeaks drowns out your screams. Celia says this in a flat even tone as if she were some type of psychopath and feeding criminals to rats was an ordinary occurrence for her. intimidate: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 going to pander for a role playing bonus on this check!:)

Squint keeps his eyes fixed on the thug squirming on the ground until he notices the gash in Ulyi's flank. He can't help himself.

"Oh, Ulyi, you're hurt!" he says as he moves to staunch the bleeding.

A Sloppy Heal Check: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7

Ulyi growls, more in response to Squint than the thug.

"Shut. Up." the eidolon grunts through gritted beak, eyes fixed on the thug. "And cease your skill-less wound tending."

Green continues whimpering quietly to himself as Ulyi's claws grip his shoulder.

Red withers under the continued barrage of brow beating. "Gah! Just tell me what you want to know, already!"

Barkot glances at Celia when she tells the thug she's from Underbridge.

Is she? Have I ever seen dis gal before? Is Da Heidmarch jus' trawlin' t'rough da slums lookin' fer fresh meat fer da grinder?

Shaking his head to focus his wandering mind on the task at hand, he glares back at the prostrate punk.

"What's in da house? An' who? An' where do we find yer mistress, chump?"
