Clarification on Character generation

Pathfinder Society

I've been reading the character gen rules for PFS and I was wondering if it would be possible to create a character above 1st level without using pregens. If so what books, additional sources or other places would I find the information on how to do this within PFS.

Grand Lodge 4/5

The only way to do that would be by using GM credits, running games and assigning the chronicle sheets to an unplayed PC.

I cannot think of any other way to do so. Sorry.

Kinevon is correct: The only way not to start playing at level 1 would be to assign GM credits. There is no other way to create a character higher than level 1. Technically even a GM credit character starts at level 1, he/she may not ever see actual gametime until much later.

Next question, WHY are you trying to start above first level? (so we can see what we CAN get you)

There is one alternative to somewhat help. Play things like We Be Goblins and assign the chronicle to your own character. Play a pregen in a higher level scenario and apply that chronicle to your character when they reach the appropriate level.

You can't completely build a high level character this way but you could build one with considerable less playing of him.

no idea why one would want to, mind :-)
