I'm going to be away from my computer from tonight to Monday afternoon and the rss readers I've found for iphones sort suck, so I may not be able to post until I return.
Have a great weekend!

GM BrOp |

Round 1–2
Milo's crossbow bolt buries itself in the creature's soft flesh, but does not seem to stop it.
Quintus fires off a ray of cold from the back of the group at the nearest creature, but misjudges the distance. (ranged touch attack-cover: 1d20 + 4 - 5 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 5 = 6; Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2)
The three remaining creatures swarm the tiefling, who finds himself nearly surrounded. They jump and bite at him viciously, their bodies crackling with electricity!
Peach creature attak: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19,Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1d4 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (3) = 5, hit!
Blue creature attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20,Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1d4 ⇒ (6) + 1 + (3) = 10, hit!
Brown creature attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14,Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1d4 ⇒ (4) + 1 + (3) = 8, miss!
Mach takes 15 hp of damage, 6 of it electricity
The party is up!

GM BrOp |

Mach has Electricity Resistance 5. But yeah... OW!
I forgot! So you don't take any electricity damage, only the 9 bite.

Mach Star |

Round 2: Actions
No Action: 5' step to the north
Full-Round Action: Stab Gold Monster!
Mach staggers backwards, bleeding, and stabs at the gold-coloured monster!
Stab 1 *Mithral Short Sword*: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Crit Confirm?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 :(
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Stab 2 *Silver Dagger*: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

Sorry to be lame, but I seem to have misplaced the map. Can provide the link again, GM? Thanks!

You can always find a link to the current combat map at the top of the screen when in this thread, or in the "Campaign Info" tab.

Milo Bandersnatch |

Riiiighht! Thanks!
Milo could fire another crossbow bolt, but that does not seem to be particularly effective. At the same time he sees that Mach is in a tight alley and there is no way to get around these awful creatures. So, he takes a quick breath and leaps forward dropping the crossbow and swinging his staff around in an attempt to trip the Brown one and the Blue one and even things up a bit.
Triping the Brown: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Tripping the Blue: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
If I've misunderstood the rules and under or over estimated the bonuses for these attacks, mea culpa!

Um'bala's eyebrows raise as he sees the creatures use electricity, and his hands stop crackling with energy. "Well, guess I'm back to telekinesis!", he says, throwing a force punch at one of them.
Attack (blue), ranged touch, cover, in melee: 1d20 + 3 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 3 - 4 - 4 = 12
Damage, force: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

GM BrOp |

Round 1–2 Cont.
Mach stabs at the nearest small creature and inflicts a minor wound on its side. (The crit sadly didn't confirm.
Milo trips the (brown) one in front of him, sending it on its back.
Um'bala sends a bolt of magical might at at one of the creatures, and despite all odds, manages to blast it with force! He notices that the creatures must indeed be quite magical, as they have some form of minor spell resistance. (Caster Level Check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14)
Standing Bear steps up and smashes the nearest (peach) creature with his earthbreaker, obliterating it completely. (Earthbreaker attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14,Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 6 = 17)
Quintus shoots a ray of frost at the blue creature, but misses badly.. ranged touch-cover-firing into melee: 1d20 + 3 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 3 - 4 - 4 = -4, Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3, Caster Level check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Petronicus slides to the side and pokes his guisarme at the prone creature. The polearm momentarily snags on Mach's clothing, however, fouling his attack. (Guisarmed: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14,Damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 1) + 4 = 8)
The prone (brown) creature flips back over, leaving itself open for attack.
Petronicus, Mach, and Milo get an AoO on the creature.
The other (blue) creature lunges at the halfling, but Milo is too quick for him. (Bite attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10, Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1d4 ⇒ (2) + 1 + (4) = 7)
Everyone is up (plus the AoOs).

Milo Bandersnatch |

Milo's staff spins as he swings it around and brings it down as if it is a pestle and the fallen <ooc>brown</ooc> creature is an ingredient in a particularly ghastly recipe.
I've added browny's -4 AC penalty to my Attack here. Let me know if that is not the way it should be done.
Attack AoO: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Damage AoO: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Erm, wow! I don't think I've ever managed to roll successive 1s like this before in... Well, since I first started gaming when I was 12 or 13 (if I hadn't just turned 50 I would've done the math -- some maths are easier to do than others). Nor do I recall ever seeing it done before. It can only get better from here, right?

GM BrOp |

Round 2–3
Chances are, things are looking up from here on out, yes. :)
Distracted by the sharp polearm sticking between him and Mach, Milo makes a valiant attempt to attack the creature, but keeps on bumping into others, throwing off his swings.
FYI, their target AC is 14, while their CMD is 12. That way you can post your reactions if you like.

Petronicus Krupt |

Petronicus takes advantage of the creature's momentary confusion as it rights itself and inflicts a nasty wound. AoO w/guisarme on brown: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24,Damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 2) + 4 = 7
Here are my rolls depending on how Mach does with his AoO: Guisarme attack on brown if Mach doesn't kill it, on blue if he does: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16,Damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 1) + 4 = 6

GM BrOp |

Nope.
In that case, Petronicus' Round 3 attack finished off the brown creature.

![]() |

Spotting a break in the combat, Um'bala rushes past the line and throws another telekinetic force blast at the creature, but the force missile goes wide, slamming into the stone wall behind it.
Attack, ranged touch, melee: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 3 - 4 = 1
SR: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Standing Bear, Spirit Speaker |

Bear moves quickly and makes his attack on the creature.
1d20 + 7 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 1 - 1 = 13
2d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 + 1 = 15
"Grandfather...don't fail me..." and with that, a growl is released rather viciously from the barbarian holy man.

GM BrOp |

The group is able to dispatch the last creature with little trouble. Quickly looking around, you discover that they carried no items of any kind with them, and seemed to have been set up as some kind of guard, judging from their movement patterns before they spotted you.
Mach takes two charges from the wand of CLW and is back to full health. Anyone else need healing? Standing Bear?

![]() |

Sorry, I think this game fell off my radar again.
"If these things were guards," Um'bala says cautiously. "Then there's something more dangerous that set them here. We should advance warily, friends."

Milo Bandersnatch |

Milo had been unlucky in his attacks, but had made up for it in defense, so he does not need healing. When the wizard speak he nods his head, "Yeah, I think Um'bala has a good point. There seem to be planned defenses here."

GM BrOp |

The group advances carefully, thoroughly searching the cages on either side of the room, but finding nothing of interest other than the bodies of the strange, deformed creatures.
After clearing the rest of the room of cages, Mach checks the only exit: a stout door on the far end of the chamber. After an exhaustive search (Taking 20), he decides that it is untrapped.
The room beyond holds a stout iron portcullis that blocks the eastern exit; its winch stands to the side. A skeleton, still in the scorched half-plate armor it wore in life, is slumped over the winch.
