Elf in front of the hippogriff was bleeding out. Other two are dead.
Jarlgur stabilizes the only elf that is still alive only seconds before his death.

The group stabilizes the last elf, but leaves the elf bodies where they are. They see a door on the left-hand wall and proceed through it.
The inner cathedral is a large chamber lit by brightly glowing torches lining the walls. A long rug leads up to a treasure chest sitting against the back wall. Above the chest stands a defaced statue of a tall Mwangi man carrying a staff. Eight altars form a circle at the back of the room.
You all are automatically under the effects of Unhallow and Bane.
The westernmost altar holds a humanoid skull wearing a holy symbol of Zon-Kuthon. Idols sit on the second and third altars, a statuette of a screaming man with a mutilated face and a figurine of a priest in chains, respectively. The fourth altar holds a dark blue music box engraved with Abyssal runes. The music box is slightly ajar and playing a quiet tune. The deathly emanations that you have been hearing is coming from this musci box which means that this is the Song of Extinction itself. Another idol stands on the fifth altar, a carved figure of a monstrous wolf representing the Midnight Lord’s herald. The sixth altar holds a raven statuette. Surgical tools and various implements of torture lay scattered across the seventh altar and the easternmost altar lies bare, although metal chains dangle from the sides. These final pair of altars are where sacrifices are tied up and tortured for the pleasure of the god of pain and darkness.
1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Tyruwat appears to be alone here. When the Pathfinders enter, they see seven sickly men dressed in chains and painful-looking piercings standing at the far side of the room, holding their arms up to the ceiling. A pendant shaped like a skull wrapped in chains hangs around each of their necks.
The man seem to finish casting a spell and a howler appears in front of the party.

Please, join me in activating the Lyrics once more! All seven Tyruwats cackle as they cast a spell.

The Howler stays where it is, menacing the party. Everyone needs to make a Will Save against the Howler (Curse)

Go butcher him. Forgot that Aasimars are unaffected by Dominate Person. Chronicles will be ready soon.
Grim shrugs off the spell that targets him as it doesn't quite work the way that Grim's mind works.

Grim is a Native Outsider, not a 'Person' - Dominate will probably bounce, hopefully Tyurwat just wasted his spell

Delayed until after Jarl.
Grim laughs... grimly... as the magic fails to break his mind.

Neveah will run forward and attack the beast guarding Tyruwat, calling down the power of his ancient ancestor Ragathiel, General of Vengeance & empyreal lord if fallen heroes. Lets make this quick! I want to go home already!

We already figured out that Howlers are evil outsiders right?
I'm Immune to Fear so no Bane

GM Bold Strider |

Jarlgur casts Protection from Evil on the group as Tyruwat blunders in casting Dominate Person on a Native Outsider. Grimnir moves forward and casts Divine Favor. Navaeh moves to the Northeast. Halbarad delays and Grim delays.
Tyruway casts a spell and suddenly disappears from view, however Grimnir is still able to see him. Invisibility The man rushes to the music box in the far corner of the room. The Howler lashes out at Navaeh, but is unable to affect the Paladin.
Navaeh moves into the room to take down the Howler. He smites the evil beast and puts some serious hurt into it. Jarlgur moves forward and casts Bless on the party.

"I see you fiend! Surrender or die!"
The spell says it surrounds him in a green shimmering field. Does this mean eveyone else could now see him?

If Hal can see Tyruwat, he shoots at him; if not he shoots at the howler until it dies and then shoots at whatever other foe he can see.
Hal guides his beast into the room and sends a thunder of arrows at the foe from his strengthened bow. Using Deadly Aim, Multishot, and Rapid Shot.

I really hope I can see Tyruwat =)

GM Bold Strider |

The Howler goes down in a flurry of arrows.
First thread makes a good point: Tiny Coffee Golem "I would say that flavor text does not override mechanics." Tyruwat isn't visible, but he does shimmer green to Grimnir.
The frail looking group of men grabs the music box and flees for the exit, avoiding the dwarf.

Ham! You can see that bastard!?! take him out I'll get that damned music box.
Can I see the group of men who took it? Can I get to the one who has it?

![]() |

He's heading for the door! Everyone else, block the exit!
Grimnir cast burst of speed as a swift and uses his now 60' movement to move and engauge the wizard. He then attempts to swat the music box out of his hands..
CMB Disarm: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (15) + 16 = 31
Because im not targting him i dont think mirror images work right?
If he drops the box it should become visible again right?
"Grim! Get the box!"

GM Bold Strider |

I would think you would still have to deal with the images as you are still using an attack roll. From the CRB: "Combat maneuvers are attack rolls, so you must roll for concealment and take any other penalties that would normally apply to an attack roll."
1 is Tyruwat: 1d7 ⇒ 7
Grimnir tries to hit the Lyrics of Extinction from the man's hands, but he hits the wrong target!
6 men left.
You still can't see them, but you can see Grimnir attacking a 5' area.

![]() |

Neveah will move to block the door.
There is just one exit correct? Is it just 5ft across?

![]() |

Halbarad fast dismounts (can't fail the check) and instructs Th'reiwa-don to guard the door (using the guard trick, can't fail the check). A second flurry of arrows arc for the air beyond the Foehammer.
My usual arrangement.
Manyshot: 1d20 + 14 - 2 - 3 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 14 - 2 - 3 + 1 = 29 CRIT THREAT (Aspect of the Falcon)

Tyruwat falls over onto the floor, still invisible. The Song of Extinction skitters across the floor of the cathedral.
Unless something is done to save Tyruwat, he will bleed out on the floor of the cathedral built to Zon Kuthon.
As the Pathfinders recover the Song of Extinction from Tyruwat, their superiors are eager to study it. Unfortunately, the lyrics engraved on the music box reveal very little about the lost Mwangi tribe’s culture, leaving the Society hungry for more information. The Pathfinders might end up back in the ruins to explore the remainder of the buildings in the future.
1 Prestige Point earned for this scenario. Secondary Success Condition: The PCs avoid combat with Nanju and kill no more than one Wild Elf Guard during the scenario. Two of the elves were killed in the fight prior to fighting with Tyruwat.
