Justin D'Rite aka Sluuth |

Round 4 Status=28/44hp - grappled - hands empty
Justin is dismayed his shield fails at the wrong time and takes a bite and tentacle rending.
While grappled, Justin lashes out to attack the beast and heal himself if able.

My lack of divine health may be at issue :-)

Aarakess Halcorn |

Aarakess curses under her breath as the archer awakes his companion. Nonetheless, she again calls on her mysterious patron for more help.
Cast Glitterdust.
Concentration: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24 vs. DC17
Suddenly a rain of sparkly specks begins to fall upon the Morlocks.
Will DC18 or blinded.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Kilthan glares at the remarkably resilient morlocks, mentally trying to judge whether or not he could make the leap across the chasm to bring the fight to them... It's farther than I'd like, especially without being able to take a good running start... He sighs and brings up his bow again.
Composite Longbow vs. Morlock #3: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Oh, good, it's the return of my level 3 dice. Yay.

GM Blood |

Your level 4 dice had a good run, Kilthan....time to gain another level!

Aarakess's spell goes off and all three morlocks seem affected as the drop their bows and are disoriented.
Justin uses his attacks against the Otyugh and manages to claw it, but does not kill it yet.
Ingrid and Kilthan miss their attacks while Dryn'taka bleeds
Tohall up last

Tohall of Erastil |

Tohall moves to Dryn's side, "Erastil I call upon your healing powers."
Move to M-7, Cast Cure Moderate Wounds 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (1, 7) + 4 = 12

Unless I note it otherwise while you are down here, the stone and walls are rough and cracked making it relatively easy to climb (DC 10) but also making the floors difficult terrain

Aarakess Halcorn |

Aarakess now turns her focus to Morlock #2 causing him to have fear of falling over the cliff. Resulting in him lowering his defenses even further.
Evil Eye Hex(-2 AC) @ Morlock #2 for 7 turns. DC18 Will reduces to 1 turn.
I continue to hold on unsure how long I will remain stuck to the wall.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Round 5
Kilthan tries once again to take a breath and center himeself before releasing an arrow into the rightmost Morlock.

Since Tohall acted before me round 4, could drinking the infusion be my round 4 action, leaving me with one for 5?
Dryn pulls out one of her infusions, drinking the contents down quickly to let the healing flow through. She looks up at Tohall as she does, "Cough, thanks, Tohall. You keep saving me down here."
CMW: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (1, 3) + 4 = 8

Dryn'taka Devilschild |

Dryn, in my home game I usually don't have a problem with it, I seem to recall we had a vote on it some time back, but I don't remember for sure what decision we came to.
I can't seem to find it, so I'll just that's my fifth round action rather than chance holding things up trying to find it. Rather keep the game going :)

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Do we just keep shooting the blind guys, then? While I like the idea of -2AC plus a loss of dex bonus on the things I'm shooting at, I was wondering if it wouldn't be easier to trick them into falling off the ledge?
Kilthan starts looking at the rocks above the Morlocks, attempting to determine if any of them look like they could be dislodged (and fall on them).
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11 Does an 11 do it? Yeesh, mean dice.

Aarakess Halcorn |

Shoot, shoot again, and shoot some more. They can make their saves at any time and start shooting me again.
Unless you want to jump over and push them, I doubt they can be tricked into falling.

GM Blood |

Kilthan, you look up and see many stalactites, but it would take a pretty strong force to knock them down to do enough to hurt them.
Seeing a couple of these morlocks in action they are pretty comfortable in the dark and good climbers and leapers. Aarakess knows with her spell that they are stunned and blinded for a bit, then just blinded for a moment after the stun wears off. Most likely they will not leap to their deaths.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Right. So much for a single, sweeping solution. Does Kilthan get a round 6 bowshot, or was it wasted on the perception test?

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Mopping them up seems to be the way to go...
Looking at the rather secure-looking stones, Kilthan realizes his grandiose plan won't work. Instaed, he trains his bow on the most injured, blinded Morlock.
Composite Longbow (vs. #2): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 for 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 Well, -2 AC for blind, -2 AC for Evil Eye hex plus no dex bonus *may* yet salvage that shot... Here's hoping..

Tohall of Erastil |

Round 5
Tohall nods to Dryn, "Welcome back."
From his crouching position follows the elf's lead in continuing to fire on the morlocks.

"Ingrid, I don't think we can make it to the fight up high. I wonder if there are any valuables in this garbage creature."
Justin finishes the aberation off with a wicked axe blow and proceeds to see if it had anything of value. Somewhat at a loss without the larger group the lizard seems to be down somewhat.
"Ingrid, I don't think we should proceed without the others."

Aarakess Halcorn |

Aarakess stares at Morlock #1 causing a great dread to rise in his mind and causing him to realize that it is much harder to dodge arrows than he thought.

Kilthan Hammerstone |

Kilthan took his R6 action, above -- but not 7. So, here's R7...

GM Blood |

Ok, Aarakess as the Morlock stands up with his bow, the goo holding you break away. Now here is your choice: you can grab for a spike in the wall to avoid falling the 20' and then then morlock will attack you with an arrow, or you can drop the 20' on purpose and take falling damage and maybe reduce it by 1d6 if you make a DC 15 acrobatics check.

GM Blood |

The morlock stands and shoots the pesk that has burned, stunned, hexed and blinded it. The arrow flies true hitting Aarakess. The pain makes her lose consciousness and her grip on the spike and falls 20'landing next to Ingrid and Justin.
