That puts Wind Warriors at a -3 to d20 rolls and your party at a +1 to d20 rolls

I also just realized I messed up their off hand damage from last round, so Rowena you took 6 hits for 48 Damage (8 less), Kelkzar took 8 hits for 63 (16 less) and Quintus 4 hits for 44 damage (4 less)

AC 26/T 26/FF 20; F/R/W +14/+15/+14; Max HP 111; Current HP 110 Effects:

Rowena grunts and grimaces, realizing she's not going to last very long at this rate, and begins fighting defensively (+3 dodge bonus to AC) attacking the one in D2.

Attack: 1d20 + 17 + 1 + 1 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 17 + 1 + 1 - 2 - 4 = 30
Damage: 1d8 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 1 = 11

Attack: 1d20 + 17 + 1 + 1 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 17 + 1 + 1 - 2 - 4 = 28
Damage: 1d8 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 1 = 15

Attack: 1d20 + 12 + 1 + 1 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (9) + 12 + 1 + 1 - 2 - 4 = 17

Attack: 1d20 + 17 + 1 + 1 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 17 + 1 + 1 - 2 - 4 = 15

Finally, she takes a 5-foot step to E4.

Rowena, both the E3 and C3 were already damaged. Were you spreading the damage out on purpose rather then trying to focus on a target to eliminate them?

AC 26/T 26/FF 20; F/R/W +14/+15/+14; Max HP 111; Current HP 110 Effects:

Nope, focus away, I just wasn't sure who had already been hit.

I'll change it over to E3 then which is the one Trevor hit and closest to your final location

I think we have Kelkzar left then the WInd Warriors

Stats:
AC 21/13/20 (raging 19/11/18), HP 34/118 (raging 58/142), F+12 R+7 W+12 (raging F+14, W+14), Init +3, Per +22

Ok revised HP total means I'm at 64/131 raging.
Kelkzar takes a five foot step back from the wind warriors and mercilessly attacks the one at B3 hoping to take some pressure off Quintus.
Kelkzar switches his judgement of destruction over to a judgement of sacred healing to try to stay on his feet longer. Brings hp back up to 68/131.
Attack: 1d20 + 21 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 21 + 2 = 37
Damage: 2d6 + 26 + 2 + 2d6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 26 + 2 + (1, 6) = 44

The two Wind Warriors continue to pressure Rowena, but between the spells and her defensive fighting style they are unable to land a blow

Waiting to see how many are left standing after Trevor's attacks.

I'll assume Trevor means D3

Following up on Rowena attacks Trevor clumsily attacks the Wind Warrior striking it hard for two hits. (60 Damage)

So three left standing, two moderately wounded. Quintus and Rauno left to go before them.

AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1

Quintus steps back again to B6 and calls on healing power for the party (excluding the two wounded wind warriors).

That is a welcome relief, thanks Quintus! Raging hp back up to 64/131.

Rauno to finish before the Wind Warriors

After stashing his rod back in his pack,Rauno casts one of his simpler spells and a pulse of five arcane darts at the wounded wind warriors.

Rauno will target one of the wounded warriors; if it falls, the remaining missiles will go to the other wounded wind warrior.

Two of the Wind Warriors gang up on the heavy damage dealing Kelkzar, hoping to remove him from the battle while the other one attempts to stop the healing by staying on Quintus. However it appears the spells and the damage you have inflicted is starting to take a toll on their effectiveness.

Kelkzar lands a pair of blows that kills the one in D4. He turns his last attack on the next one giving it another terrible wound.

Trevor's hope rises as the warriors fall one after another. He swings his fauchard upward, then whips it back down with a swift hip turn.

Rowena nails the Wind Warrior 4 times and almost brings it down, but Trevor has her back and slams his fauchard into it before stepping up next to her and continuing to hammer away at their foe. Trevor comes close to being able to finish it off, but the ancient warrior of the Wind Dukes manages to continue fighting.

Quintus and Rauno left before the remaining Wind Warrior if it makes it that long

Rauno draws forth another wand and invokes it, hoping the minor power it holds will be enough to banish the last wind warrior.

Ready wand of magic missiles, fire one at the wind warrior. 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 damage.

still alive. Quintus up to you

Quintus tries to finish the wind warrior off, but is sufficiently out of practice that he misses both attacks.

Quintus, Don't forget you have another attack with haste and a +2 to hit with prayer and haste together. (and +1 to damage with prayer) So the first one should hit and you would have a haste attack yet.

Sorry Quintus, just going to finsih the fight up...

Quintus slashes three times connecting twice. As Quintus swings the last blow, the Wind Warrior bows slightly in a sign of respect. Quintus's finishing swing dissipates the Wind Warrior back into formless air.

Combat Over

I updated the map here with the side view. You are above the drop off leading down below. At this point you have used up 15 rounds of air walk, or 1.5 minutes of 20.

AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1

Thanks--sorry about that. I'd seen your post, couldn't reply right away, and then forgot about it.

"I can channel for healing twice more today, but that'll mean I can't call on Sarenrae's power against undead. I also have a few more major curing spells left. Rowena, you, me, and Kelkzar are the worst off. Do you want to take one more day to rest?"

AC 26/T 26/FF 20; F/R/W +14/+15/+14; Max HP 111; Current HP 110 Effects:

"Can Rauno afford to go one more day with no spell book?" she asks, deflecting the question.

Do we want to charge ahead while we have 15 rounds +/- of haste left?

Rauno shrugs. "It makes little difference to me. The limited spells I have left to me will remain so. However, my glimpses into the near future do wear on me, and rest would allow me to attempt to gain us more advantage with it." Foretell and Prescience would recharge, as well as the rod of extend uses.

"It's too bad we have to fight these noble warriors... Too bad really. Ok! Let's push on for now and rest when our speed and floating stops." offers Trevor, struggling with his words.

"All right. Let me get Kelkzar and Rowena back together first, though."

Quintus begins to heal as you continue to move further down the shaft with the falling river. Once again you must pass through the water getting yourselves soaked. The water once again collects in a small lake before spilling over the edge once more.

The water runs here at an angle versus falling straight down for a hundred feet or so before falling over the edge and running down further once more. Not looking forward to getting yourselves soaked once again you begin to move that way when Rowena and Kelkzar notice something.

To the east is a hidden passage that has carved stairs in the stone leading up somewhere.

At this point you spent 12 rounds traveling put you nearly at the end of the haste spell's duration. So the decision has to be made to explore where those steps go, or continue to plunge further down

You have used up 3+ minutes of air walk out of 20, so you have some more time remaining.

AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1

"I can't cast air walk again today, so we'd better not get too much further down. Let's check the hidden passage."

You check out the passage which has a staircase winding upwards. Air walking with the stairs you get to the top after about a minute where there is an open cave.

The walls and floor of this cave have obviously been partially finished by stoneworkers. More impressive by far are the massive, fifty-foot-tall doors to the north. These dull black doors are carved with both gigantic and tiny runes, some at eye level and others much larger. The metal of the door seems pristine and freshly forged.

Rauno:
Rauno, you feel uncomfortable approaching the doors any closer than the top of the steps (Though it is not affecting any of your comrades. Make a Will DC 21 to override it. You know the effects are similar to an antipathy spell.

GM:
Will 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

Rauno stops at the top of the stairs. "Gentlemen, hold. I cannot. Can you not feel that? The urge to leave this place? I do not wish to abandon you, my friends. But if you persist in pushing ahead, I fear I cannot walk with you there."

He holds out a hand, stretching his fingertips toward the door, as though sensing for something unseen. "It has been warded somehow. I suspect an extremely powerful spell, like antipathy, or some similar effect." He shakes his head sorrowfully. "I shall not pass."

AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1

"That's a mind-affecting spell, isn't it? I may have something to help with that." Quintus raises his hand in a gesture of blessing over Rauno and prays. Casting protection vs. evil on Rauno.

Also, did you mean to leave Rowena out ;-)?

No one else feels the way Rauno does, in fact the doors are quite inspiring. The protection from evil doesn't help Rauno come any closer. It is not an evil effect

Linguistics Rauno: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (4) + 21 = 25

Even from far off, Rauno can transcribe the gigantic words in Vaati.

"Dare not enter the tomb of Icosiol, Lord of Aaqa, Wandering Duke, and Bearer of the Rod of Law. His righteous peace and glorious memory are best left to the ages, and his enemies are best left forever sleeping."

Quintus:
After Rauno finishes saying those words you hear in your mind, "Find the seal and say the words."

AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1

Quintus frowns, as if listening to something inaudible to everyone else. "Find the seal and say the words? The seal might be the cube that the Marquis stole, but what words?"

AC 26/T 26/FF 20; F/R/W +14/+15/+14; Max HP 111; Current HP 110 Effects:

"I feel that this would be a safe place to rest. Anything hostile to us is likely to avoid this area."

If you decide to rest here, Rauno will need to sleep on the steps which are fairly steep and uneven. Might be a long night for him

Well, it would only be for two hours (ring of sustenance). After that, he'd be sitting on the steps working on crafting.

I'm still down so resting doesn't seem like an awful idea.

AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1

"For Rauno's sake, I think we're better off retreating to rest. Though if the stairs are wide enough that he can spread out a bedroll without rolling off...."
