"They call me Julian...I worship the empyreal lord, Soralyon." he notes.

Kn. Religion DC15:
Soralyon is an angel empyreal lord who is worshiped in the Varisian city of Magnimar. His holy symbol is a crooked spire of stone covered in strange, astronomical writings. He appears as a man carved of the purest marble, watching over the Maelstrom from his post at the Steward's Stone in Nirvana.

Soralyon is said to be the keeper of magical secrets, which he shares with a deserving few.

Soralyon is a "good" god.

If nothing more, we'll move right through the door in 12 or so hours!

"I am not worthy of his secrets, but I party my part. He is a Lord that believes in keeping evil at bay, especially those of the ancient times, like the Thassilonian, hence why I am here today. Liberty's Edge

Mosquito Witch Handouts

If you want to ask anything else to Julian, please do so, and we'll retcon as appropriate.

He explains "The Bakrakhan were part a very powerful, sinful empire of the Thassilnon. The realm called Bakrakhan, was ruled by Alaznist, Runelord of Wrath. Bakrahkan was also known for using fleshwarping magic to make more powerful soldiers.” When the moment has come, he immediately lets you in to the ruins, and immediately returns to placing the ward again. You feel uneasy in this place for some reason.

We shall now head into the heart of this adventure! A little bit of a dungeon crawl! Link and access to the maps is at the top of the page, as well as on my GM header under WIII. I've put your tokens on per marching order.

Past the double door leads you into a long hall. The wider passageway narrows here and continues to the east. Dim flickering flames dance around the walls, illuminating unadorned polished stone. A simple wooden door is at the eastern end of the hall.

Welcome to the Wrathwarped Halls. Of course, your characters don't really know the name given to this place.

I'm using the determined marching order as we keep going.

As the party travels forward cautiously, they are taken by surprised as they did not notice a very well and hidden placed trap. Ashra steps through a very thin trip wire, which in turn activates the said unspotted trap. Some spiked wedges hold up some open faced books that are hidden deep in the crevices of the wall. The trigger causes a makeshift hinge out of broken tabletops to push down the books smashing the unlucky one who steps through it. Mountains of open faced books fall on Ashra. Unaware of what just happened, Ashra is unable to dodge the avalanche. Mountains of ruined old looking books lie on the floor now.

The trap makes attack rolls to hit, no reflex save here.
Books: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 251d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Books: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 191d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Books: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 321d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Using the same perception rolls from before, feel free to make extra rolls if you think it's necessary.

The door ahead, as far as you are aware, is safe to be opened, and unlocked. No movements or noises are observed from the other side of the door.

Vasili is more than certain a large group of goblins have entered the area, without any sign of exiting it this way.

Petrok finds it difficult to concentrate as he holds his detect magic spell. The ancient magic in this place was very strong. There is magic everywhere here my friends...it is ancient, it is powerful, it is the type of magic that transforms objects or persons..be aware of where you step and what you touch...worse things then falling books may await us. Petrok then sits cross legged amidst the books and begins to examine them.

After perusing a few books Petrok grabs 3 and hands one of them to Orophin. These other two hold wizard's spells. This one may be of use to you..some of the Gods have revealed this spell to their servants. The spirits hide the knowledge of that particular spell from me however. Petrok hands Orophin a book that has the spell Flaming sphere written on one of the pages as a scroll.
the other two scroll/books I discovered, had the spells magic missile and Molten Orb.

Going to go ahead and open the next room.

After discerning the door is definitely safe, and no unusual movements heard from the other room, Ashra leads the party into the unknown once again.

A hallway runs north and south here, its walls carved with images of fire and destruction. Humanoids from many races peer out from the flames in the upper portions of the carvings, their faces alight with excruciating pain. The lower two feet of the carvings show other figures on hands and knees, their faces toward the north, the brutal fires just above their backs.

Near the center of the hallway on a low plinth stands the statue of a cruel-faced woman wielding a ranseur in her right hand. Her left hand gestures to the south, giving the impression it is the source of the carved flames.

A large bronze plaque is affixed to the southern wall of the passage, covered in spiky, spidery runes.

Petrok listens to Orophin and nods as he puts away the scroll. Perhaps you're right Oraphin and Ashara, if nothing else presents itself, we could always use the magic later, when we return this way. Petrok searches through his pack and shakes his head. Does anyone have Parchment and ink? I forgot to replace my supply after my last mission. The society will want a record of those ruins, regardless if we translate them.

Sorry guys. Rough weekend. Depression caught me unawares. All good now though

Kitajo moves up to join Ashra.

Hope all is better with you now Kitajo!

Is there anything additional you would like to do before we move to the next room?

Ashra sighs. "Ok. I don't have my people's resistance to fire, but I'm not seeing any traps here. So stand back, I'll walk over to the other side. Worse come to worse, I am the most agile here" she finishes with a wink.

Having had a rough audience recently, Orophin had no intention to have his good looks smeared by either a tomato or a fireball, he stays crouched low down as he crawls past the statue - just as the figures in pictures do.

Once in the main room he moves out of line with the doors, staying low as the others try to work out how to open them.

I guess that makes him prone
