"You and your little friend dare to court favor from the mighty Ignatius?"
"Mighty Ignatius. We don't court favor, but we're tired of being used as pawns in this crazy wizard's game of chess. You might not be a pawn, but rather a knight, bishop or even a king, but my guess is that you've been locked up here for thousands of years and that you might be willing to join or even lead our attempt to punish the guilty party."
GM BPChocobo TK2
Not even going to do the math, but the party now has a fresh set of allosaurus ribs to dine on.
More later!
GM BPChocobo TK2
Sorry guys! Back in action :)
Rozimus holds back along with Elindriel and the others, seeing no need to walk into that fray.
The efreeti has the slight edge in speed over the chimera. It first opens up with by firing a pair of twin beams of searing fire at the creature.
It's a scorching ray!
It's a quickened scorching ray and below CL 11th as there are only 2 beams.
Efreeti ray @ chimera: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26
Fire Damage on hit: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 5, 6) = 15
Efreeti ray @ chimera: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
Fire Damage on hit: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5, 5) = 14
The chimera howls out in pain as the efreeti once again fires another pair of the fiery rays.
Efreeti ray @ chimera: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25
Fire Damage on hit: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 1, 1) = 6
Efreeti ray @ chimera: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
Fire Damage on hit: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 2) = 12
The chimera then moves forward to engage the genie... and the efreeti smiles as he is able to take a preemptive swing at the magical beast!
Efreeti falchion @ chimera: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (18) + 16 = 34
Damage on hit: 2d6 + 9 + 1d6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 9 + (1) = 21
Crit confirm: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (14) + 16 = 30
Extra damage on crit: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (4, 6) + 9 = 19
The chimera, now severely wounded by the blow, bites at the efreeti!
Chimera bite @ Efreeti: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Damage on hit: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 3) + 4 = 11
However, the sheer amount of damage throws off the chimera's lunge and it misses the genie-kin!
"I've softened it up for you. Prove your mettle and finish this beast yourself and not by the support of your allies. THEN perhaps we can see if you are worthy of my strength."
Presumably, if you wish to take the challenge, you would tell everyone to hold back, and given how PbP is, I'll hold everyone's actions back to after yours.

@Miss Dominique: Your blast of light burns the chimera, who then limps to the ground.
"Ha ha ha ha ha!", the efreeti bellows out as he moves towards the smaller, meek woman.
"You lot have earned the privilege of earning the support of the mighty Ignatius!"
"As I have been trapped inside that painting for so long, most of my powers are still spent. However...", the genie pausing as he strokes his chin, "I can do two things for you. First, I can either shrink or enlarge two of you while we are down here. Second... I will grant you one wish. IF you are unable to free me from this prison...", Ignatius scowls. "Let's just see if your word is as good as you have convinced me it is."
For purposes of this wish, you must state "I wish...", and that it will be for the effect of a limited wish spell. Finally, any items or abilities gained through it will only last for this adventure.

One wish, or one wish each…. :) Ki is likely to wish his lance was unbroken or that this Airwalk spell was permanent. lol. Maybe wish for a set of adamantine weapons for all?
Ki backs away from the creature at the mention of shrinking or enlarging. Why would I want to change my size. I am the size I am suppose to be.
What pictures remain, and could they be taken with us?

Painting: 1d2 ⇒ 1
The first painting Miss Dominique tries to take off the wall immediately flashes and a gaunt, red skinned man now appears in the center of the room. Looking quickly and seeing Ignatius and Miss Dominique, it chooses the smaller target!
It's a babau, a demon foot soldier that is covered in an acidic slime that can destroy non-steel weapons and burn those who use natural attacks or try to grapple it. Finally, it often summons darkness as it has an innate ability to aim for weak points and uses the shadows to launch deadly sneak attacks.
Babau bite @ Miss Dominique: 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 12 + 1 = 31
Damage on hit: 1d6 + 5 + 2d6 ⇒ (5) + 5 + (2, 5) = 17
Babau claw 1 @ Miss Dominique: 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 12 + 1 = 25
Damage on hit: 1d6 + 5 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) + 5 + (6, 2) = 15
Babau claw 2 @ Miss Dominique: 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 12 + 1 = 23
Damage on hit: 1d6 + 5 + 2d6 ⇒ (6) + 5 + (6, 1) = 18
Both attacks cut intot he creature, but the fire effect is staved and much of both slices are already healed!
All three attacks wound the surprised Miss Dominique, who is nearly brought down by the sneaky attacks!
Ignatius howls out. "FOOL! You dare attack an honored minion of Ignatius!" and swings his sword twice at the demon.

Ki, seeing the thing full attack his teacher howls in anger and charges the demon. His attack will be stopped short IF Ignatius does not consider him an ally though. Darn you small PC's and +4 to stealth!
As Ki has already fought for the efreeti, he doesn't impede the small warrior's charge. In fact, Ingatius watches this tenaciously, nodding in approval after the demon's shoulder is nearly shattered from the powerful blow before darting off to repeat.
Elindriel easily slinks past the deadly demon!
Rozimus attempts the same...

No one wants to taste the water or perhaps take a relaxing soak?
GM BPChocobo TK2
@Miss Dominique: There are no poisons or trap-like things in the water or around the pool. Just a nice, soothing warmth.
GM BPChocobo TK2
Ki dips his weapon into the water. As he peers in and taps around, he can feel that there's a small ledge around, as if this were to be used for sitting in.
Ki withdraws his lance after a short period of time, but the same crack remains.

Shaking the water from his weapon and glad that it is no worse for the dunking Ki comments. Looks like there is a bench in here, like it was made to sit on. Perhaps we should try it out.

Jostrum shrugs and sets his gear aside. "Ok, I'll get in. Here's my healing wand. Save me if I start to die....."
Handing his wand to Miss Dominique, Jostrum eases into the pool and sits on the ledge.
GM BPChocobo TK2
@Jostrum: It feels immensely relaxing. The sensation is similar to a natural hot spring, although the source of the water or its warmth cannot be seen. Your muscles, tense from the various battles you undertook, immediately begin their resting state as you soak in the pool's warmth.
How long do you wish to stay in there?
Ki Amon

Ki looks on with mixed emotions. He is envious of the soothing bath, but also concerned for his friend. Most things have tried to kill us in here so far Jostrum. Do not linger too long.
