Round 3 recap:
Julian swings twice, hitting once and knocking out more gears.
Elindriel slips behind the construct while Rutlius ponders its value.
Jostrum fires an arrow, but misses.
Miss Dominique is about to provide more first aid, but Ki charges forward and with a powerful thrust, shatters the chest of the animated gears. With much loud clanging, the construct falls apart.

@Ki: Unfortunately, the gem is now shattered after several attacks, particularly your final thrust that felled the thing.

You do tell, however, that there are enough good gears, sprockets, and other mechanical looking things here that it'd be valuable to the right person... if it wasn't so heavy to carry out!

Elindriel will use the rest of her vanish spell to do a wee bit of exploring, if that's okay - just one round out, one round back, into the big room to the east.

That nice gem is shattered. Probably powering the thing, or protecting it. Ki says without a lot of conviction in his voice. But these parts would be worth quite a bit to the right buyer, if we can carry them out.

Okay, then - retcon, if it's allowed. Elindriel will not head back to be with the party when her vanish ends. Instead, she'll choose to end up in a flanking position behind the rats.
She can get past Rutlius' position with a single move from where she was. She'll use the second half of that round to cast message (indicating Jostrum, Ki, and Julian) to warn the others, then will continue into the room and back into a corner in the intervening round.

@Elindriel: Since you go first, you can elect to strike at R2 before it would get to Rutlius. If that's the case, you can move yourself between the exit of the room and R2's position to strike.
Otherwise, to go as you are, you'd be delaying down to until after R2 attacks.

So, it's not clear what square that R2 is supposed to be in, but it is clear that there's no way you flank with me since I'm not holding a melee weapon.
Also, if my ready goes off, I'll acid splash the first rat I see. If not, then I'll 5-ft back, acid splash, and then shift 5ft further away.
Acid Splash (w/ an acid flask as an alchemical focus): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7

@Rutlius: Yea, same reason Ki's keeps on going low. As far as your readied action, if Elindriel wants to attack the rat before it attacks you, you'll be attacking R1. Otherwise, you'd be attacking R2 as it would approach you.

Sorry for the delay - yeah, Elindriel will attack R2 beforehand. That will protect the mage and, hopefully, provide a barrier to help Ki have a charge target.

I moved Jostrum thirty feet to the right as stated in his previous post. I assume that was ok.
Jostrum draws back and fire two arrows in quick succession at the rat near the north end of the room.

As Ki's about to roar up to charge... but then all of the rats are slain. Jostrum's pair of arrows nearly slays it and Julian's sword practically beheads the other.

Seeing Julian in trouble, Ki pushes Ears forward as the half-sized cavalier tries to run the goblin through!

The lance runs through the mad goblin.... who only cackles and starts to move towards the cavalier!

Ki started it. Elindriel pushes it along. Julian finishes it. And Jostrum double taps, just to be sure.
The goblin falls limp, being nearly cleaved in half, run through the stomach, stabbed, and nailed with a pair of arrows to the chest.
Combat is over, and you guys destroyed the poor goblin :P
The room is now quiet, save for the occasional dripping of blood from the table, which overlooks a bucket of various pieces of flesh and organ.

I am back. Looks like Ki got to charge again Yes! :) Not bad damage for a little guy. Sort of a one trick pony (or wolf in this case) I know.
Ki nudges the goblin creature with his lance. That warn't no natural goblin. Those must be alchemicals. Ki speculates. Or even potions. What do you think Julian?
