You betcha James. I am having fun with this, too. Think I'll get a dream sequence for you up soon enough, if you don't mind me godmodding you to sleep.
Can you tell me where you're planning on hiding, please? Are you going for total concealment in one of the buildings, or are you going to be out in the open and require a stealth check?
GM Aria
Want more naughty dreams without knowing their meaning? Hehehe. I am willing to oblige, if that's what you want. He. he. he.
Edit @ Tam: Yeah, that's cool, I assume you guys play your characters smart. Unless in my sleepiness I said that you didn't have your weapons or armor with you and were complete dolts who don't know how to act in my post, which I don't think I did, you're free to do what you will.
I'm not a miserly GM who will say "well, because you didn't say that you cast light in nighttime you're completely blind, good day."
Mordecai Jethramson
Lol we used to have a GM like that. Great guy and awesome storybuilder but he could be really bad about stuff we didn't announce.
Stanislaw Quill
Remember, its the surprise round, baddies does not get to act this round.
Also, as I said IC, remember we only get a move action OR a standard action in a surprise round. I was thinking we move into position now, my spell goes off, and we finish the ones who are not affected.
Stanislaw Quill
The way the stealth skill works now, you get to sneak attack when attacking from stealth, as you count as "invisible" towards the guys who do not make their opposed perception checks. So you can, in effect, sneak attack at any point, as long as you are able to hide first, so I suggest you use the surprise round to roll stealth and remain hidden until next round proper.

Ladislaus Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Oleg Perception 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Svetlana Perception 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Redshirt #3 Not die 11d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Edit I want everyone to chime in on the ultimate fate of the bandits. By the way, redshirt 3 is not dead, he stabilized himself. He is at negative hit points, but he can still be saved.
So, again, I will leave it to you gentlemen what you would like Ladislaus to do with the Redshirts. Two have surrendered to you, one has already volunteered information about a woman named kressle, and the hooded figure is still asleep.
Don't want to godmod Ladislaus into doing anything you guys aren't comfortable with.
Mordecai Jethramson
Well as for my vote, I want to give all 3 bandits the chance to repent their evil deeds, otherwise, He'll assist whoever in either hanging them or putting his sword to their throats. Ragathiel is a god of Chivalry and Revenge, so it kinda fits w Mordecai being the virtuous knightly warrior.
Personally, I'd like Ladislaus to heal all of them so that they aren't in danger of dying on us flavorwise.
GM Aria
You're a terrible person and should feel bad about yourself for basing a character on something you've seen.
*laughs*
I started making a half elven bard of dubious sexual persuasion based on a cool character in a web comic once, but he didn't go anywhere. He would have to have been multi class rogue and assassin. But guess what? That's who my husband based one of the villains in my game off, only he was human, and a rapist and a really bad guy.

RE; IC:Not trying to start a huge debate on what to do, but rather portray Stan's take on such things, and how important he finds due process and justice, rather than mere pragmatism, while pragmatism is obviously important as well, at least this early in the job.
Stanis is not going to be a huge help in terms of DIRECT interrogation, but he will be on hand to offer advice on what questions to pose, and let the people who know HOW to pose said questions (ie high intimidate) take care of the direct talking.
Mordecai Jethramson
Lolz sooooo isn't going to go well. I have a +2 to Diplomacy, unless some people want to assist me :) hint...hint... HERE GOES! *flashes best and most winning smile!!!*
EDIT: So i didn't botch it buuut I think I'll stick to just swinging my sword. Stabs at imaginary direbunny. Grr... LOLZ
Stanislaw Quill
In weak moments, I am almost contemplating making Stanis take a level of cleric, if Ladislaus is not coming back. He became a lot more cleric-y than wizard-y in the mindset than what I first imagined. Guess I am too used to all wizard players be godless power-crazed sociopaths with no sense of right and wrong. (Shotguns anyone? :P)
That way I would at least be able to give out some minor post-combat healing (Not to mention the travel and protection domains would be a nice boost in terms of mobility and defense). But effectively shooting myself in the foot power-wise.
The oath part in my post is a big deal to Riverfolk. The Seven River Freedoms that guide the people of the River Kingdoms holds oathbreakers in the utmost contempt, to the point where they are fair game, just like outlaws in civilized and lawful kingdoms.
@James: The bad sense motive roll means Stanis interpreted James' intention as a willful undermining of the lawful process, and a desire to "sacrifice" the captives to appease Calistria. While Stanis is intelligent enough to know better, he gets jumpy when someone (seemingly) leisurely wants to kill others.
GM Aria
Okay guys, I am up and thinking about a post in which the bandits respond to Stanis, but do not allow me to keep you from responding to Stanis. I know pretty much what they're going to say.
That being said, I haven't eaten since yesterday morning, so my brain is running at about half capacity, and there's supposedly waffles to be had for breakfast today. I would like to get in on those before I post anything.
Just want to let ya'll know I'm not being lazy, I'm trying to keep this game in the realm of not being suck.
As an aside, though, watching bad GMs who can't control players explode is kinda fun. Ha! When they have to post rants on OOC threads about retconning and withholding actions, you should just shut the game down because your players have taken the game away from you.
GM Aria
Okie then, well... I am going to go on the record and say that I will give Ladislaus til you guys do some adventuring and come back to Oleg's to check in to do stuff. Until he shows up, I'll leave him as an NPC at Oleg's. He'll still be gaining your experience as though traveling with you, we'll just say he's defending Oleg's from reprisal by bandits and taking out any wandering monsters he sees in his patrols, healing trappers that come by, etc.
I'll be posting something later today about what sort of things you can take from his stash as a reward for helping him with his problem. As well as loot that you found and are likely to sell to Oleg from the bandits. Remember, there is still the issue of Svetlana's wedding ring.
Edit Someone with a little less High language might consider taking over the interrogation of the bandits, since Stanis is sorta confusing poor Matis, who wants to help you guys. Alternatively, you can separate them out and roll a diplomacy and I will tell you what they know, and once you've decided what to do with Happs and Boris as a group, we will move on.
Tam Hawke
yeah he sorta did lol I felt angry (at rl game haha) and sorta the psychology matched up as explained but yes ooc tam just wanted someone to kill since he botched up combat lol no that wont happen again so dont worry tam is not evil just alot for him to hear at that time
