I can use both in this game: separate initiative in small/er combat scenarios and group initiative in larger, more complex combat. Will that work for you guys? Or would the group prefer just one system of handling initiative?

Rhia IMed me and her vote is to continue as we've been doing: group initiative

I will update the game in my morning. It's been a very long day and I'm tired.
Thanks for your patience. :)
GM Ariarh |
Felix's player has had some misfortunes with his mobile phone and computer and may not be able to post. Riley, would you mind botting Felix this round, please? I'm not sure how long Felix will be without access to the net from home...but I'll keep you updated. Thanks, kindly.
GM Ariarh |
FYI: The rodents are labelled on the map and have any damage listed in the comments per rodent. Thanks.
Felix Bramblethorn |
Posted! Sorry for all the delays everyone!
Braylee Mulciberus |
Should that be 5 pts of splash damage, Braylee? Minimum splash damage would be 1+4, I believe. I've never played an alchemist before...so I'm only going by what I've read on the SRD.
That would be a big fat yes. Thanks for catching it! I'll adjust it in the future.
GM Ariarh |
If Felix is unable to post for Round 3, Riley can you please bot him?
Heading to bed. Night from this side.
GM Ariarh |
A general FYI: I realise in recruitment I asked for a minimum 1-2 posts a weekday and none over the weekend. I am amending this rule. If we are in combat, then I ask for at least 1 post a day Saturday through to Sunday. If you cannot post on weekends because you have plans, responsibilities and/or are out, that's okay, just let me know and you will be botted just to keep combat moving along. This rule change is only for combat.
Thanks, guys! :)

I have been tracking my bombs and alchemical items.
I will track my arrows, but I will need to add some. I've never tracked them before, so they are not of my sheet.
I'll put a consumable items and abilities in its own spoiler at the bottom of my profile tonight.
GM Ariarh |
No worries, Braylee. Thanks. :)
Just a general, courtesy heads-up: Today is a busy work day for me and I'm also a little under the weather. I will be posting much later in my day when work has finished. Sorry for the hold up and thanks for your understanding and patience.

From the SRD:
Saving Throws and Illusions (Disbelief)
Creatures encountering an illusion usually do not receive saving throws to recognize it as illusory until they study it carefully or interact with it in some fashion.
A successful saving throw against an illusion reveals it to be false, but a figment or phantasm remains as a translucent outline.
A failed saving throw indicates that a character fails to notice something is amiss. A character faced with proof that an illusion isn't real needs no saving throw. If any viewer successfully disbelieves an illusion and communicates this fact to others, each such viewer gains a saving throw with a +4 bonus.
-------------------------------------
Rhia and others, you gain a +4 bonus to your Will Save to disbelief Felix's illusion.
On their next turn, the captives Bophre and Carlo get the +4 bonus to their will save to disbelief via Sela telling them it isn't real.

Riley steps back and readies and action to attack a Kobold if it comes out of the inky cloud.
Felix is directly behind Riley and there isn't room to step back in the tight/narrow tunnel, so I'm unsure of where Riley is moving to.
GM Ariarh |
Just a courtesy heads-up to the group: Felix's player is being bombarded at work at the moment (among other factors). He wants to continue playing, but has asked me to not wait for him if he hasn't posted in a day ... and have him botted to keep the game moving. I'll advise when he will require botting. Thanks, guys. :)
GM Ariarh |
Thanks for relaying the message, Braylee. Felix didn't move, so no worries.
I'll post up the kobolds' action in 30 minutes.
GM Ariarh |
Done. Braylee needed me to post for her too. She is working late.
Thanks for doing that, Riley. :)
GM Ariarh |
Felix's inlaws are in town and visiting him. So, he will not be able to post tonight. Can someone bot him today/tonight, please?
GM Ariarh |
Even though Riley and Felix are moving ahead to explore at each turn, I'd still like a post from the other players to let me know what they're doing in the meanwhile. Thanks.
GM Ariarh |
I would prefer it, thanks Braylee. I believe everyone should be actively involved even in a formal march as threats can come from multiple sides/sources and if your front-runners are busy perceiving and dealing with what's up front, then the others in the back can take care of the rear. Otherwise, the only people posting are the ones in front (and if they roll bad that can prove bad for all of you) and I really don't like that and think it can hurt a game (via momentum and enjoyment).
GM Ariarh |
Felix is unable to post tonight as he is on babysitting duty. Can someone bot his action, please?
GM Ariarh |

Hi, all. I have spoken with Rhia's player this morning. Due to her long vacation period, starting from the 1st Sept, she doesn't feel she will be able to continue with the game because she will not have the time for consistent or quality posting over the next four months and she does not want to let the team down or hold up the game. Rhia has said she will try to finish up this kobold mission with you and then has given me permission to take control of her character and Rhia will become a NPC. I will run her so the party continues to have a healer. I had another option in mind, but unfortunately it didn't pan out. If you have any other suggestions, I'm willing to listen. I just wanted to give you guys a heads-up so you aren't hit with the player's departure in the near future. I wish Rhia the best on her trip and in life in general. :)
GM Ariarh |
Sorry, Braylee, it's just the way of these games, sometimes. I'll try to do my best by the remaining players.
GM Ariarh |
For the remaining three players:
Instead of a NPC Rhia to continue on in game (after her player's departure), would you rather I find a new player to join as a dedicated healer or are you happy to continue with the smaller group?
