August - Dwarf Fighter 2
Nguyen An - Human Fighter 2
Elindriel - Rogue 1 aka Holman Nimblefingers
Alan - Bard 1
Hawk - Magus 1 aka Kath Undoeth
Merck -Oracle 1
Ok, I think we have the new lineup...just need Alan's final choice posted here and then we can close out the old and start the new.

GM Aarvid |

Ok, I need to get a token created for Jacen and then should be ready. A couple more maps to do, but enough to start on Monday.
Also, using the new faction rules, which I have not read for this yet, but familiarize yourself with your faction directive for year 5.

I got the email about it, yeah. Haven't checked it out though.

GM Aarvid |

I should be ready to start up here Sunday night. Finalize your sheets and then we will start.

GM Aarvid |

I am fine with it since we are starting new for many of your characters. Not sure how they work for once they finalize the new classes. But I am sure there will be a conversion process if they change.

GM Aarvid |

Also, once everyone has their sheet updated for the character they are playing, please include your stats in your profile posting line for easy reference. I am not picky about format, so something like Holman or August has is fine.

I took a hard look at two classes - bloodrager and swashbuckler. They have a lot of potential.
Draconic bloodlined Bloodrager into Dragon Disciple is something I want to see happen.
Swashbuckler is interesting, but there are a few things that keep it back. Precise Strike only being 'living' creatures for one. Panache seems really limited and the class feels feat taxed - 'need' combat reflexes for a deed to work, extra panache/grit seems like it would be required.
We'll see how the playtest shakes out.

Arcanist- disappointed with, if I wanted to do that I would just eldritch heritage a wizard
Bloodrager- has potential, agreed about the dragon disciple.
Brawler- I was never interested in with to begin with, I love the monk class.
Hunter - I will have one, but will probably not look into more than that.
Investigator- I will try one, but will probably multiclass it with a detective bard to make a noir sleuth
Shaman- I really like, though admittedly I didnt think I would.
Skald- I was excited about this but after seeing it, I'll pass.
Slayer- Cool class, though I think it needs more skill points, and a better selection of talents, as well as a better bonus to favored target.
Swashbuckler- needs some work but has incredible potential
Warpriest- initially i wasn't to excited about the class but after seeing it, I would play this, probably more than a cleric.

I have been playtesting the shaman. While thematically I love it the mechanical part of the class left a lot to be desired. At level one and two I am just like cleric without domains, it feels underpowered.
Its strange how paizo was trying to make a witch/oracle hybrid and ended up with an oracle/cleric. There is next to no witch at the class. Now Jason said they may replace the spell list for the druid one.Not sure that would fix the problems with the class.
A friend of mine is playing a swashbuckler in our RL group, it looks like a very fun class but its strange how halfling is actually a bad choice for it. They need to redo the parry talent.
I want to try a bloodrager.

Hey guys.
Tomorrow I am going out of town on a short business trip. Should be back next monday the 9th. I am not sure how much internet access I will have these next few days. I will try to keep up with my posting but please bot Morvius if needed.

GM Aarvid |

Only one PC post Saturday and another today (and that from a person on a business trip). Was there a big convention this weekend or was everyone tied up watching college football or something? :-)
I am going to move things along before we bog down too much.

August isn't much for the chatty stuff, that's why I at least tried to help get people to safety and such. I thought we were getting ready to move.

Merry Christmas all! I haven't been on these boards all that long but I've enjoyed all the games I've had the chance to enjoy with you all. Thanks for taking a newb into your mists. I'm really enjoying playing August in Aarvid's games, its the only ones he's played in.

GM Aarvid |

Going to be driving (on vacation) tomorrow and the next day, so my posts may be brief and infrequent depending on hotel access. I will try to get us to the next scene. Feel free to RP in between.

I'll be attending Space City Con/Winter in Galveston this weekend. The place has wi-fi so I might be able to post each day but I still wanted to give a heads-up while I thought of it.

GM Aarvid |

Also, I will be driving back home from vacation (into some snow it sounds) on Friday, so might have limited posts until the weekend.

Be careful out there, especially if you in the Midwest.

GM Aarvid |

We are getting close to the end of this chapter. Feel free to post day job rolls here.
Also let me know if you want to continue with part 2 (of 4) and I will probably start it up a week after we wrap up here.

Of course I wish to continue! Wow, there are three more? Sounds good to me.
