Elena White |
I don't know if you need this info:
Player: Carol S
PFS #: 239343-2
PFS Character: Elena White
Faction: Silver Crusade
List of Harrow Cards
1d6 ⇒ 3 Constitution (Shield)
1d9 ⇒ 3 The Desert (Chaotic Good)
The Desert: This is the chaotic good card of constitution. It represents an environment too difficult for anyone to survive without help. The sphinx may represent a source of salvation from plague
Because of the Harrow Deck, is Elena supposed to gain 1 temporary hit point during The Manor? And a temporary +1 to Fortitude Saves during The Manor? Is that how "Draw from the Deck" is supposed to work?
JAFO's pregen alias deux |
player: JAF0
pfs#: 52335-?
PFS character: ?
Faction: ?
I don't remember which character I was applying my credit for this to... and I don't have a chronicle to refer to so... not sure what to do here.
JAFO's pregen alias deux |
for this scenario:
suit: 1d6 ⇒ 6
align: 1d9 ⇒ 8
The Betrayal
This is the neutral evil card of charisma. It represents selfishness and envy

Reposting from the GM 101 Discussion thread, to make sure everyone sees it:
I'm ready to start whenever, though we're on the cusp of when my work 'week' starts so I'll be busier for the next few days. So we've got a couple of options:
(1) I can start us as soon as everyone has had a chance to offer GM OfAnything feedback and then get dotted into the Manor gameplay/discussion threads. However, I have to work tomorrow night and Saturday night as well as all day Monday. If we start right away, I likely won't be very responsive until Sunday afternoon/evening for awhile and not until Monday evening after that.
(2) If people want a day or two breather, I can wait and start us either Sunday afternoon or Monday evening once I get home from work. After Monday I should have a few days where I'll be home and able to respond to posts more quickly.
Either option is fine with me, just let me know what you want to do!

OFF TOPIC: Has anyone read the Pathfinder novels? Shyka shows up in Death's Heretic and is pretty cool for the small part he/she/they plays. There is also a very distressed inquisitor of Shyka in PFS#7-02 Six Seconds to Midnight.
KingOfPregens |
I've only read James Sutter's Death's Heretic and Redemption Engine and the Varian Jeggare series by Dave Gross, but I would recomend both.
The characters are very compelling and help bring the setting to life for me.
Salim Ghadafar (Death's Heretic) grudgingly serves as a problem-solver for the church of Pharasma, bound by the goddess of death to hunt down those who would rob her of her due.
Varian Jeggare (Prince of Wolves) is a half-elf Chelish noble, trained as a wizard, who doesn't have the stomach to use magic. He travels with his Tiefling bodyguard.
{The} Herald |
I may have to pick up Death's Heretic. Sounds good.
Wormling |
I have read a couple and they have all been pretty good. Bloodbound, Pool of Stars, Hellknight, and I just picked up Liar's Blade from the library. So far, they have been good at really engaging me in the setting, to the point of helping me GM the aspects they cover. The storylines are appropriate for the theme, the characters feel real, and really bring the Pathfinder world to life.

On third thoughts, we already have a paladin, an eidolon, and a phantom. I'm not sure we need Zadim's blade.
Mel, maybe? Are there any classes you haven't seen in a game that you'd like to learn about, GM Ladile? Shaman, Skald, or Aranist could be handy.
GM Ladile |
I'm already somewhat familiar with the shaman (playing 2 in other PbP games) and the arcanist (playing 1 in another game) but a skald would be neat to see!
Also hah, I was going to write a quick scene post for the inn to set up some RPing but I see everyone has already started so I'll just leave you folks to it for the time being! We'll officially get the ball rolling on Manor on Sunday afternoon, okay?
GM Ladile |
Okay folks, we've officially started! Please fill out your Initiative and Perception information on Slide #2 and we'll be good :)
GM Ladile |
Oh, don't forget to roll your draw from the Harrow deck for today as well! A simple 1d6 roll to determine suit (1 is Strength, 2 is Dexterity, 3 is Constitution, 4 is Intelligence, 5 is Wisdom, and 6 is Charisma) will work perfectly fine for this :)
GM Ladile |
Okay folks, I'll leave you here for the night! Tomorrow I'll be at work until well into the evening so I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow night once I get home :)
GM Ladile |
Loooong day but I'm finally home and settled in for the evening! Working on a post now :)
GM ThinkingFlesh |
GM Ladile, I thought you did pretty well covering up the map. I took the liberty of making two changes though (without exposing the map to myself):
1) Resized the cover hiding the hallway going east to show the "T" connection.
2) Resized both bullet-shaped covers to the south to just cover their rooms (kudos on finding the exact right shape to cover the rooms!) and adding a new rectangular cover just to their north to cover those room(s). Now we can see the whole hallway.
Hope you don't mind me making changes to your map.
GM Ladile |
Not at all! I'll get better with resizing those shapes and such with practice, I'm sure. Thanks for helping out :)
Also I hope we're not going too quickly; I'm trying to be mindful of the original estimation of roughly a week per quest and 2-3 posts per day from most of us but I know a couple of folks like Bearington are a little more limited on how often they can post.
GM Ladile |
Okay, good to know! Apologies for the slow posting today on my part, got called in to work tonight so that threw me off. Working on a post now but in light of the current website oddities I'm not going to move us too far along until they're fixed and/or everyone here is aware of the issue.
GM Ladile |

*cracks knuckles*
Okay folks, I'm finally rested, I'm up early, and I've not got to be at work again until 6pm tomorrow night. I'll give it a little bit of time for anyone else to make a suggestion or case for doing something differently, otherwise I'll roll you all into the next room a little later on this morning. Normally I'd just go with Rule of 2 but since the party's so large I'll make it Rule of 3* ;)
Let's do this!
*Rule of 2 - Where the GM rolls with whatever direction/suggestion/idea is presented first by at least two people in the party. Useful to avoid cases of dithering around over which direction to proceed in or whether to open a door or not.
GM Hmm |
^ This is a great GM discussion post!
GM Ladile |
Aw, thanks! And as it turns out, I don't work tonight but tomorrow night so I have a little more time to torture entertain you all without distractions >:)
{The} Herald |
That was a really well crafted start-of-combat post, GM Ladile! Bravo!
GM Ladile |
Thank you! Even with having a little of it written in advance, I'm still surprised at just how long it took me to make sure everything was in place and set up the way I wanted it...
...and I still forgot to put Wormling on the initiative tracker that first time. D'oh! Good thing I caught it for the next post :)
GM Hmm |
I agree that your GM combat post was excellent. They take forever to compose, don't they?
GM OfAnything |
I usually distinguish between familiars and other pet classes for initiative. Because eidolons, animal companions, and phantoms are more involved in combat situations, I place them on their own initiatives.
GM Ladile |
Hum...I've seen it done both ways and can also see the arguments for both options. Since I'm guessing that PFS doesn't have a set rule on which method to use, I'll have to think about which I'll ultimately go with in the long run.
GM Ladile |
Thanks for letting me know; you're not the only one up and I'll be stepping out for a few hours later myself so we'll see how it goes :)
GM Ladile |
^This is why it's always nice to have your players helping you keep track of this stuff! Good catch, Wormling :)
(Although yeah, it wouldn't have made a difference in this particular case. You guys out and out murdalized my poor dudes!)
GM Ladile |
And that's a wrap for Manor! Hopefully the ending wasn't too abrupt, but you all were basically done once you finished the battle and spoke with Lady Illirigarde.
As with the other sections, I'll mark Manor inactive once we finish up with the entire quest chain. I hope everyone enjoyed it :)
GM JAFO |
If everyone will dot in gameplay in Monolith (AND delete your dot please), then check in over in the discussion page to let me know you're really there, we can try to begin tomorrow (or as soon after tomorrow as everyone has checked in).
Don't forget to roll in discussion for your card draw and alignment if you choose to take one.
