Oops, sorry Marnarius, I used tokens from your evil twins in the Core group.
Shohiraj grievously wounds the gunslinger. The Iomedaean gets revenge on the half-orc with two brutal swings of his greatsword.
Primary: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 10 - 2 = 19
Damage: 2d6 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 4 + 6 = 21
Secondary: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 5 - 2 = 23
Confirm: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 5 - 2 = 6
Damage: 2d6 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 4 + 6 = 14

Half-Orc: 35
Joliryn, 322, and Rataji may act

322 laughs slightly at the mayhem that she and her companions are causing.
322 sticks to the shadows and moves deeper to in the room.
She cast inflict serious wounds and holds on to it for now. Waiting for the opportune time to use it.
Most likely next round unless the rogue finishes him off

Using the notes found in the Vault, you're able to perform the ritual and open the Hao Jin tapestry. Both Rataji and Marnarius possess the coordinates for the rally location in the tapestry.
The ritual takes five minutes to complete (once you've had the chance to heal up and such).
As you finish the ritual,
A thin slit appears down the middle of the tapestry, and then its whole center tears open in a deafening rip and a crack of thunder. Planar winds whip out from the frayed fabric for several seconds as purple lightning dances in the tattered wound. The gusts die suddenly, and the fabric stretches painfully to create an aperture nearly 10 feet wide, revealing a peaceful woodland occupied by a growing army.
A woman bedecked in chainmail and scars steps through into the room and then motions for those behind her to remain still. She surveys the chamber for a moment before a broad, genuine smile cracks her tough expression. “By Hanspur’s soggy hide, I never thought I’d see this world again.”
She shakes her head and wipes away a tear before it can quite form. “The name’s Wolona, bronze rank. We’ve got good news and bad news on the other side. The good’s that everyone we expected to show up did, plus some more besides. The bad news is that some of them are starting to believe we’ve set them up.” Wolona clears her throat loudly as though no more need be said.
“The only thing keeping them from just killing each other and the rest of us is my promise that there would be a welcoming committee who might prove this place exists and that it’s not all a trap.” She starts to turn back to the portal. “Think you can give them a little pep talk?”
Wolona hardly waits for the PCs to agree before muttering, “I hope they haven’t killed each other already” and stepping back into the demiplane.
She returns a moment later, accompanied by 15 delegates and war leaders, including humans, a halfling covered in bright war paint, a hag, a blue-skinned, winged reptilian creature known as a wyvaran, a yeti, a pony sized green dragon, and an owl-like robed humanoid.
The wyvaran sneers, looks to you, and asks, “So which of you is the Aspis king?”
As many people as wish to can address the war council. Charisma based skills are generally most appropriate, though creative uses of other skills are also welcome. You can also roll your next stealth or disguise checks for navigating once you leave here.
Slayer Pregen |
Marnarius salutes his second-in-command and says, "Welcome home Wolona. I have come back for you as promised."
She is all business; evidently this conflict within the demiplane is quite serious.
Turning to the wyvaran, he replies, "I am the Aspis King of the demiplane. I infiltrated the Tapestry. I fought the hated Pathfinders. I escaped the Tapestry. I have infiltrated the Pathfinders' base here and shall now lead my mighty army forth to defeat them forever. You can aid us if you choose but please do not hinder our important mission."

322 comes up behind Joliryn and comments as well," rest assurred no one will ever notice you missing. We are one with the void." As she says this, she summons her cloak of shadows to envelop her again. Mostly for dramatic effect
Automatically aid on the intimidate check for Joliryn with a +14 as well
GM Lari |
After a moment of conferring with one another, whispering in a dozen different tongues in hushed tones, the motley army commanders roar their approval and immediately begin moving their forces through the gateway, spreading throughout Skyreach, and sneaking across the Grand Lodge’s grounds to cause mischief.
The green dragon turns to you and Wolona, the Aspis agent from within the tapestry. He gestures to the woman with a claw.
"This one says you will kill the mage who contained us in there. The mage with all the books. I will join you and kill him and take the books!"
Wolona interjects, "Whoa! Hold on Gazwyr! You have your own assignments." After a moment's thought, she adds, "If one of you wants to join me and take over his tasks, I won't object to Gazwyr joining you."
If anyone wishes, you can swap out your character for the green dragon Gazwyr. If multiple people are interested in doing so, I'll let the dice decide. If your current character hasn't yet accomplished all of their goals, you may wish to delegate those to someone else. if you feel you can trust them to accomplish it.
You can also give me checks to navigate to the tower again (stealth or disguise).
Z..D.. Pregen |
I agree it would be fun. But, 322 still has a few tricks left that I want to see.
"Let us make haste to catch Aram Zey off guard."
stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
GM Lari |
Your directions lead you to a set of heavily reinforced doors, bowing outward slightly. One door has a mail slot roughly three feet above the ground. A faint buzzing can be heard from the other side.
As Shohiraj approaches, she gets the sense that the cover of the mail slot carries a trap.
The profesional |
stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21
Yes, I`ve seen it. Now if you can give me some space to work... Shoriraj waits a moment to allow her companions to put themselves in a safe place before disarming the trap.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (9) + 22 = 31
GM Lari |
Shohiraj is able to manipulate the mail slot in such a way that prevents the device on the other side from triggering, though it appeared to be nothing more than a scrap of paper.
In the home stretch, guys. Door is opening later tonight, if all goes to plan. In the meantime, buff now or forever hold your peace.
Rataji NPC |
Rataji casts the following spells on himself:
- Herosim (70 minutes)
- See invisibility (70 minutes)
- Invisibility (7 minutes)
- Fly (7 minutes)
- Shield (7 minutes)
Then, just before the door opens, he casts displacement (7 rounds).
"This is it, my friends. Beyond this door lies fame, fortune, success and Gold Agent badges for all of. When we do what we have come to do, we will be legends!"

New map up top.
This tall library is ringed by a walkway around its perimeter, which provides access to a second level of towering bookshelves. A broad Qadiran rug leads to a short pedestal within a tall glass case that itself sits within an inscribed circle—all cordoned off by a velvet rope suspended by brass poles. A strange armillary pulses with energy from atop the pedestal.
Several plush chairs and a few low tables bearing curiosities and curios line the lower floor, and two decorative suits of armor stand at attention, each with a crossbow resting against its shoulder. Heatless torches blaze with remarkably even light in sconces throughout the room, and a tall pendulum clock on the eastern wall ticks each passing second.
A sneering Garundi man stands on the opposite balcony, fifteen feet up, though it may be more accurate to say eight men stand, as identical copies stand in close proximity (Mirror Image).
As he looks you over, he speaks, irritation clear in his voice.
"Finally! I expected you here sooner"
Though Shohiraj failed to notice it, there is a trap that will trigger when people enter the room on foot. See details if you trigger it below.
One of the suits of armor levels a crossbow and fires it at you!

Then she tries to sneak in after Marnarius, to use him as a flnak-partner, and her eagerness is rewarded with a crossbow shot in the middle of her armor.

"Hmm. Must be using some sort of magic to create these images. Let me clear this up"
Casting Dispel Magic on Aram Zey
caster level check for dispel magic: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
I doubt that is high enough to dispel any spell that he cast on himself.
Rataji NPC |
Rataji flies into the room, invisible and loaded for bear. He sees what's in the room and considers how to relay the information. He flies invisibly to Marnarius and whispers.
Rataji then waits.
GM Lari |
Botting Joliryn.
Joliryn cautiously advances into the room, heading for the stairway to the balcony level. Double move
Zey turns to the empty space where Rataji flies. Almost sounding bored, he says,
"Tsk...invisibility and flight. What a novel tactic."
He casts a spell, and Rataji slowly drifts down to the ground. He also notices his almost out-of-body experience ending as he no longer sees an alternate version of himself two feet to his left.
Fly and Displacement are dispelled.

My bad, Shohiraj, was looking at the attack roll that hit Marnarius. Added the invisible Zey to the map, but Rataji is the only one who can see him clearly at the moment. That said, you will now hear
Marnarius and Joliryn rush towards opposite sets of stairs. 322 fails to dispel any effects from the Master of Spells, but Rataji does manage to hit him with a torrent of flame.
Shohiraj pops an image on the visible Zey. He (both in visible and invisible forms), looks at you with scorn.
"This is really the best the Aspis has to offer? "
As he slings a spell at Rataji. Please give me a Will save at a -4 penalty. DC is in spoilers so you can decide whether or not to reroll or similar.
Shohiraj Will: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Sorry I couldn't really see the map before. I didn't notice but Marnarius should be enlarged. Does that mean he could hit Zey from the ground? If not, is he too big to go up the stairs?
So Rataji told me that the real Zey was behind me coming in the room then attacked that way. If it's possible for me to hit from the ground floor, I would have moved that way instead of the stairs then been watching for him to reveal himself.
Is it too big of a retcon for me to move there last turn and then be able to AoO when he reveals himself and casts a spell? Assuming I can hit from the ground floor.
Marnarius, upon seeing the real Zey, takes just a moment to let his hatred come to a full boil.
Study Zey. Seething Hatred increases the damage bonus from Studied to +4.
knowledge{local}+studied: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 2 = 23
Ask about weaknesses if applicable.
I will wait to take my other actions until I know what if any retconning is possible.
Sorry for the confusion- I was on vacation and my phone doesn't work well with the Google Docs images.

Third time is a charm
322 getting frustrated cast dispel magic one more time..

GM Lari |
You be large and near where Rataji has indicated, but casting that spell did not make him visible. It did make pinpointing his location easier, though.
As for ID, he's just a human. A powerful wizard, but still human at the end of the day.
322 continues to fail to match the magical might of the Master.

Marnarius, I completely failed to notice that your damage isn't quite correct. It's a scythe, not a sickle. You actually did:
Correct Hit: 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (5, 5) + 12 = 22
Correct Crit: 8d6 + 48 ⇒ (6, 4, 2, 1, 2, 2, 1, 6) + 48 = 72
Zey's crystal-topped staff glows, and Marnarius quickly shrinks back to his previous size. He then blasts a bolt of lightning directly at the man, which radiates off, striking several of the others.
