Grergof takes the second shield extract and another enlarge person. Then he uses divine bond to set his flail glowing again and cast divine favor on himself. That done he cast grace on himself and wades in so he can safely get his first huge smash off with his flail.

Morcruft, the ghoul the group found back in the place before passing through the portal can tell, that falling off the ledge will do the trick. But in a very painful way as it is a hard landing.

None of the ghouls know a proper way to do this without hurting oneself.

How ling does one fall? A few seconds, minutes, hours?

On the platform outside in the cold you find an almost invisible vortex, right where you arrived. Stepping into that - as tried out by Abomentolor out of curiosity - leads back to the other side of the portal too, without the falling part.

The rest of the way back is long, but uneventful. First through the ancient underground structure, then back through the wilderness until you reach Magnimar again.

Based on the dragon's reaction, that is probably the sloth shard, So as soon as we pull it out, I doubt we will get the holder to move.

Grergof says as they walk back to the Mansion to ask the secretary if Lady Heidmarch is available to see them.

There are many taverns in Magnimar, but no one feels like finding out which on is the best, so it's not the very best, but the very first the group ends up in.

As the search starts in uptown it is a sophisticated establishment, where walking in wearing adventuring gear draws some disapproving looks. The receptionist offers four rooms and some of their services, which include baths and laundry. He doesn't offer a table yet.

The other guests are wearing fine garb and jewellery and are taken care of by a waiter that stands ready for each table. The meals served could rival what Abomentolor's mansion has to offer. Some of the conversations are about business, some about upcoming events in town. But all is very civilized and the atmosphere closer to a library than a watering hole.
