"I'm sorry, but Mrs. Heidmarch isn't here at the moment. She will return tomorrow around noon. I'll inform her that you are back as soon as she arrives." Margaret explains.

"We have a housewine. But that we serve from a barrel in a pitcher."

"That would be this wonderful Château Haut-Brion rouge for 12 gold." Margaret tells and fetches a bottle to show.

It is the same wine that you could get at The Pig's Whistle for 10. Or for 8 if it were on sale again. It seems that Abadon really lacks some diversity when it comes to exclusive beverages.

"Our guests expect some privacy, and if you want to ge tto know him, I suggest you introduce yourself to him and ask if he'd interested in a chat."

"But please respect that our guests expect the best treatment, and rightfully so. Don't bother them."

Swiping the coin the adds "That's Lemuel Gulliver, a merchant, who comes here twice a year for a week."

"Welcome at the Golden Knight. I'm Margaret. We'll be pleased to accommodate you. How many people shall we expect?"

She informs that the top floor has one large suite and four additional rooms to house the entourage. And all of that would be 25gold per day including a butler. A banquet could be held for 10 gold per person.

Looking around, you notice, that there is a certain lack of guests in the house. One man that looks like a rich merchant or something alike dines in the salon. And all but one key are hanging at the board behind the receptionist.

Indeed Margaret is already on her way back. Shortly after Darius announces her return, she steps out of a corridor. "Mrs. Heidmarch has time for you. Please follow me."

After knocking on the door and waiting for a while Margaret opens. "I assume you want to see Mrs. Heidmarch? I'll ask her if she has time. Please come in and take a seat over there."

She points to a group of settees in an alcove of the foyer.

Once everyone is in, she closes the door and leaves to contact Mrs. Heidmarch.

"Good day dear Sir. Please state your business with the Heidmarch family." the maid who opens inquires as Menan knocks on the door of the manor.

After naming his business with Lady Pembrooke and the topics he seeks information about the maid excuses herself to ask the masters. She closes the door on Manuun.

She comes back a few minutes later. "The masters want nothing to do with that person anymore. It was purely a business relationship."

As Manuun tells his goodbye and turns to leave the maid speaks "The Pembrookes were well known for Sir Peter's shop for jewellery, antiques and pocket watches. Sir Peter and Lady Eleanore Pembrooke that is. They were regularly invited to social events, also here at this house. But then she died and Mr. Pembrooke later married the maid, Lady Aghasta Pembrooke. Then Sir Peter died too. Lady Aghasta was still invited out of courtesy, but she never really fit in. She wasn't a real lady, and she looked down on people like us maids."

"Then one day after years of being a widow, she offered the services of a girl to do cleaning. She told the girl has to earn her food, and the best she could do was robbing on the floor for cleaning with her stiff leg. I don't know if they accepted out of pity or because of the low pay. I also don't know where the girl was from, or why she asked for a job for her."

"But you don't know that from me." she adds and quickly disappears into the house and closes the door.

Margaraet indeed looks irritated as the group walks out.

Hearing some noise from the office, and knowing, that Mrs. Heidmarsh is not in there Margaret comes into the room. "What are you doing here, and why did you bring statues... Oh, are these... I'll inform Mrs. Heidmarsh that you're here on urgent matters." she tells and leaves again.

After a few minutes she comes back and tells "Mrs. Heidmarsh is in a meeting at the moment. She asks you to wait for her. Here in the office, or in the salon, or where you like. You want some tea?" Margaret seems to loose her cool around the statues.

Margaret looks with disgust at the remains of Archibald. She closes the door, and returns a moment later with a wooden box, like you would use at the market for groceries. "Put it in here." she tells. Putting the boxed cat-shred aside, she counts out the five gold. "Well done. I'll keep your address. Have a good day."

She closes the door and and leaves Gibson standing outside.

Gibson makes the next logical step. He visits the Jarvis family estate, approaches the delivery entrance and asks for Margaret. "Mr. Gibson, what are you doing here without a Archibald?"

"I'll hand you the payment and then you go drinking alone." Margaret says with a stern voice and a stern gaze. Then she turns and leaves without looking back again.

This brunette is wound tighter than Hawkes' clock collection. Still, she has jams that run from here to tomorrow. Saul Gibson isn't one to disappoint a drink of water like this.

"Ma'am, I'll take your case. Here are just the facts: the cat went missing yesterday from its home, it wears a necklace full of ice, it belongs to Baroness Belcara Jarvis, and your name and personal home address is....?"

"My name is still Margaret, the estate of the Jarvis family is in the Greens, the cat's name is Sir Archibald, which is also written on the collar, and when you bring the cat back, use the delivery entrance and ask for me." Margaret replies. She looks Saul in the eyes to see if he got it and wraps up the picture in the cloth again.

"Someone left a door open and the cat snuck out. Was the day before yesterday. That has happened before but it always came back latest the next morning." Margaret replies.

Kintargo isn't that big a town and of course you know the family. They live in the Greens (G9 on the map) are known to be loyal to Kintargo and are mostly known for their interest in architecture. As can be seen with their estate and the buildings in town they own.

As Meliandri and Salonius provided their own counterpart I'll leave it at that for the moment. I might come up with someone in Villegre Park later.

"Not in the literal sense. But you know what I mean." Margaret replies.

"I'm Margaret. Can't we talk here and be done with it?" Margaret asks. "Mr. Gibson - Saul - I have need of your skills for a search for a lost member of Baroness Belcara Jarvis' family." She unwraps the item she brought. It is an oil painting showing the Baroness sitting in an armchair, a very special cat wearing a bejeweled collar on her lap. From the looks of it a too well fed pure bred pet. (Imagine a siamese)

"The Baroness' cat is missing. I'd pay you 5 gold if you find it and return the cat."

Sunlight streams into the window of Saul Gibson's bedroom, hitting his eyes and wakes up. He groans, sits up, starts to grab his head, but then remembers that he wasn't drunk last night and he isn't hungover now. Sobriety is a strange thing to get used to.

But the options for bars in towns is quickly drying up, and Saul decided that maybe a little drying up would be good for him too. Ever since the Case of the Redheaded Dame, he refuses to go back to Clenchjaws, on principal. The Thrashing Badger burned down a while back, The Thrashing Badger was nice but the regular bar brawls get annoying if one visits too often and the closest establishment, the Tooth and Nail, simply had too many bad memories. Too many nights spent there when he should have been other places and with other people. Sure, there are still other places in the City... but Saul was taking all of this as a sign. Perhaps some time without alcohol could cheer his sour disposition.

Found the brunette's missing purse last night, so may as well take a walk over to her place in Redroof.

Saul pulls on his leather armor, his leather trenchcoat, his leather pants, and his wide brimmed leather hat. Why does it always smell like a slaughterhouse in here, anyway? Next case, I'm saving some money to hire a cleaner. He also grabs his longspear before opening the door and stepping out into the street.

The door reads, "Gibson Investigations".

As Gibson steps out he almost runs into a woman that was about to knock at the door. Dressed in simple, but clean and good quality clothes, upright posture and an attitude of entitlement on her face. Probably in her thirties, but no signs of hard labour on her hands or of extended exposure to sunshine in her face. She carries something of 20 by 15 by 2 inches size wrapped in cloth under her arm. "Mr. Gibson?" the woman asks mustering the man before her.

"Of course." Margaret turns on her heel and hurries after the cleric. It doesn't take long, that she returns with Bevaluu Zimantiu in tow.

"Then follow me." Margaret replies and leads to Mrs. Heidmarch's office.

"Mrs. Heidmarch. Mrs. Tauriell would like to talk to you about why Windsong Abbey lies in ruins."

As Tauriell arrives at Heidmarch Manor she is just in time to see a cleric of Desna leave. As Margaret sees Tauriell approach as she sees Bevaluu Zimantiu to the door she waits. "Good afternoon. What can I help you with?" Margaret asks.

Judge Daramid lives in a fine townhouse surrounded by art in the center of Lepidstadt.

Herm Dulaven, Kendra Lorrimor, Amira Ravenheart, Tamara Hart and Tairan Avel visit this townhouse. They are greeted by a woman who asks what their business with Judge Daramid is. She excuses herself to check with the judge. After a few minutes she comes back. "Please follow me." She leads them into a salon where the judge waits.

Margaret raises a brow fearing for the worst "Wait here." she commands and hurries to get Mrs. Heidmarch.

"I don't know. What is your request of her?" Margaret inquires.

"Yes?" Margaret asks as she opens the door.

Margaret opens the door. She looks at the two and checks the surroundings.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
"No shenanigans this time?" she asks with a smug smile. "Please come with me. Mrs. Heidmarch will receive you."

Margaret leads the way to the office, knocks, opens the door and announces the visit. "Miss Gwenwhyfar and Mr. Fiddle are here." She then retreats.

Margaret does as told and returns with another bonnet and a matching apron. "I found this wonderful set." she says holding it out to Faerveren.

Margaret returns with a stroller. It is like a cradle on two foot large wheels with a canopy and a handle to push it on the opposite side.

"As you can see, this is a well cared for stroller and I want it back in the same pristine condition." Margaret demands.

"I'll see what I can do." Margaret replies and closes the door.

"You want to shove a stroller through town and disguise yourself as a woman?" Margaret asks.

"What would you need that for?" Margaret asks looking over her glasses.

Margaret opens and greets them "Good morning Mr. Goblinburner., Tauriell."

Margaret opens and leads the guests into the office of Mrs. Heidmarch.

Margaret enters the salon. "I brought the young lady as requested. And I told her already the basics of what the job will be about. I gave her the guest room on the first floor. She will be back here any moment."

On their way out of the temple Margaret comes past them as she walks in.

"Of course. I'll leave immediately." Margaret replies and putting on her cardigan she leaves to do as told.

"Of course." Margaret leaves and locks the door.

Margaret appears a few moments later with the tea. She places the tray on the table and pours two cups of tea from the tea pot.

"Yes of course. Black tea with some candis. I'll make some." Margaret replies and holds on to the thought while leaving the office to block out what these two bodies do to her emotions.

Margaret hurries to the office to Mrs. Heidmarch. "Captain Uriana is here on some important thing she needs to talk to you to. What shall I tell her?" she asks.

"Of course, please come with me into the saloon." Margaret replies with a forced smile. She leads the Captain there. "Please make yourself comfortable I'll tell Mrs. Heidmarch that you're here."

"I'll go and open." Margaret says and leaves the office. She opens the front door to see who is there.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't... I don't know what..." Margaret stutters still bewildered by the situation.

"What is,... you can't... what do you..." Margaret stutters as she follows Tauriell through the corridor.

Margaret does as told.

Margaret opens the door. "Good morning. What can I help you with."

"Please follow me." Margaret replies and leads to the office of Mrs. Heidmarch. Knocking and then holding the door open she announces "Miss Gwenhwyfar for you."

She closes the door after Gwenhwyfar and goes back to her own work.

"Good morning. What is your request?" Margaret asks after opening the door.

"Yes. I'll deliver it to Mrs. Gwenhwyfar or put it on the table for them to find." Margaret replies and leaves the office.

As she sinds no one in the guest house she puts the note on the table.

Margaret sits at the table reading a book. "Good evening." she greets her and closes her book. "Here is your stuff back. And payment for your documentation and the stuff Mrs. Heidmarch kept for the Pathfinder archive. There is also a note for you. I'm leaving. If you have questions, ask Mrs. Heidmarch. Good bye."
