Grergof brings some order into the evacuation attempt before shooting at the spider like thing. But besides catching the Shriezyx' attention, it has no effect.
But all color vanishes from the creature, as Abomentolor properly roasts it from all sides, turning it black. And after a column of fire from above washes again over the critter, there is not much left holding it together.

With another fiery hit, the burnt creature breaks apart and the body slams into the stone, breaking apart. As quick as the threat rose, as quick it is put down again.
The part of the crowd that is closest and couldn't get away starts cheering, and like a wildfire the cheer spreads and the panic dies down.
Knowledge local or history for the meaning of the monument
Brother Grergof Varsk
Grergof goes back and picks up his bow.
Then he joins the others looking at the monuments.
Ummm... Are those supposed to be doing that?
Tauriell
"The monuments of Magnimar are special. They house kind of benevolent spirits, that give boons to those that practice an appropriate ritual in front of them. What is really the reason for that is still in debate. Magic, from Thassilon times, magic imbued by Adventurers back in the day, or divine gifts. Magnimar is even called the City of Monuments, because of those. But they normally don't glow." Tauriell explains.
Brother Grergof Varsk
So either the monuments have been powered up by the ritual, or something bad this way comes and they are warning us. We should get the people ready to move to places of safety just in case it's the second.
Brother Grergof Varsk
Well big groups in the street may not be the best idea…
Foxy Quickpaw
Half of the crowd had enough excitement for one day and leaves to their homes. The other half believes to have even more reason to celebrate, now that the monster is slain.
But Grergof and the officials Spugnoir puts to action manage to get the crowd to leave the irespan. The merchants are not happy, as their business opportunity gets cut short. But most start packing immediately, and the others do too - disgrunteled. But without customers, there are no other useful options.
Once all people are on their way, and the group looks around to check for Mrs. Heidmarch and what to do next, Spugnoir notices that the horizon seems to be higher than usual.

Know-Geography I duno lol: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (2) + 19 = 21 Well we need to get something done. Hey! We did get a scroll of miracle from the dragon's hoard, maybe Darius can use it to miracle the tsunami into calming down.
and a complicated adamantine puzzlebox scroll
tube worth 4,000 gp and containing a scroll of miracle
(opening the scroll tube requires a successful DC 35

Brother Grergof Varsk
Protecting the whole city sure seems like it would be a good use for the scroll!
Wow it's actually called out in the spell description as an example of a reasonable use for the powerful version of the spell!
If he agrees to use the scroll this way, Grergof sends the Sheidron over to Darius in case it can help him with the casting.
Darius Redgrave __
With all eyes on Darius, the old man starts to transpirate profusely. He looks to the sea, back to the others, and wipes his forehead with a handkerchief. "Of course. I'll ask the Inheritor for a miracle."
He takes the scroll out of the scrollcase and studies it.

"And the people!" he adds.
Brother Grergof Varsk
Father Darius Redgrave, you can do this…. Let the Sihedren help you work through the scroll!
Why not use the +8 Insight in that roll since it’s so important?

Darius concentrates on the star that floats above him like a halo. It rotates and grants the much needed boon. Darius eyes brighten, as he finally understands the magic writings.
The sihedron then rotates again and again. Holding the scroll in one hand and presenting his holy symbol in the other, he reads the magic words. As the parchment dissolves into magic power he prays "Iomedae, show mercy to this city and its inhabitants and turn away the destruction that is coming with the waters."

Can Itake a shield extract?. Grergof asks and waits to get it, before he takes off air walking quickly in the direction of the nearest Clockwork Leviathan.
Abomentolor Goblinburner
"Let me do this." Abomentolor objects and dimdoors Grergof right on the back of one of those creatures to smash it's head in.

Meanwhile the clockworks keep steam cooking the few people who are outside in Beacon's Point and rampaging through the buildings.

After the damage it took, that lightning is too much and the last leviathan breaks down.
But the next catastrophy brews already over the sea. Above, the skies darken and rumble and a sudden and strangely localized surging of the sea attracts attention as the waves grow larger and threaten to flood the shore.
