Abomentolor casts his magnificent mansion to create the proper place for taking a rest. "I'm sure you'll find some tea somewhere on that dinner table."

Once observers have passed beyond the entrance, they are in a magnificent foyer with numerous chambers beyond. The atmosphere is clean, fresh, and warm. The place is furnished and contains sufficient foodstuffs to serve a nine-course banquet for 180 people. A staff of 30 near-transparent servants, liveried and obedient, wait upon all who enter.


Spugnoir gets all the gunk off of himself, starts up a kettle of tea and begins fixing up his golem. Is there some connection between here and Ustalev? I swear we've met those weird tentacle being before.

After a very peaceful night in marvelous beds and a hearty breakfast the group leaves the mansion refreshed.

Spugnoir investigates the next set of doors very thoroughly before even considering to open them, but he finds nothing. No trap, and not even locked.

(E3) Over fifty feet across and nearly a hundred feet wide, the ceiling of this immense chamber stretches up into the darkness like a silo. The walls glitter with sparkling blue and purple crystals, with those higher up giving the illusion of colored stars above. A stone door sits at the end of a wide hall to the south, while to either side of this entrance, three large black metal doors loom in the walls (although one set of doors to the northwest has been smashed to rubble). The far side of the room features a wide alcove in which a fountain of glowing blue liquid ripples, but the most significant feature of the massive hall is the vast pit that takes up the majority of the floor, leaving a ten-foot-wide ledge around its edges. Silver light shines up from a roiling bank of fog thirty feet down in this immense pit, and now and then, immense rumblings and sloshing sounds, like a whale floundering amid the waves of a distant beach, echo up from the silver-limned depths.

Know(Arcana) DC25 or Spellcraft DC35 Pit:
The vast pit in this room is the anchoring link between the Material Plane and the nightmare realm of Leng. To use it as a portal one must first be anointed by the fountain, however that is done.

Know(Arcana) DC25 Smashed Door:
The adamantine door was destroyed with a mix of using claws and electricity.

The room behind the broken doors is ransacked. (E8) Two stone pillars support the low ceiling of this vault. There are no other furnishings in the chamber, and the room’s walls are lined with empty niches. An immense and broken scorpion-shaped statue made of bones lies in the middle of the room. Obviously a guardian like at the entrance the group took into this dungeon.

The pool can also be identified with a DC25 Know(Planes)


If I can get a sample of the pool I can try to identify. Everyone ready in case there is another nasty in it?

The golem 'fills' the vial with the mist from the pool and returns it to Spugnoir.

While Spugnoir examines the contents of the vial, another oversized abomination appears. Out of the mist rises a worms which's front end is all maw and teeth. The body is going on for as least as far as one can see in the pool.
