Smiling Gwenhwafar replies "You're just in time." and glancing at Hannah she adds "There was more to do than expected."
Spotting the lady Gwen smiles to "Sorry ma'am, I didn't see you there."
"There is always more work to do if someone willing to spend the time" Hannah tries playing over the snide comment of Gwen. "Nice to meet you again." and coming over, opening the door fully she offers him to come in.
"Can I interest you in something from my shop. I mean other than my apprentice." she says with a wide smile.
Niamh looks a bit disappointed at the transverse flute in her hands. "Maybe you know someone who can play it?" she looks hopefully at Mrs. Korvaski.
Blushing somewhat at Hannah's somewhat forward remark, Jimmy decides to play along for a moment. "Well what do you stock besides eye-catching young ladies?"
"We have potions, made by eye catching young ladies, herbal remedies for various afflictions, and bandages." showing to the shelves with her hand.
"We also have things to help with pregnancy and birth, but you don't look like the typical customer for that." she adds with a wide smile.
"Well potions can always be useful, but does the fact they are made by eye catching young ladies add anything special?" Jimmy says enjoying the back and forth, keeping an eye on how furious Gwen seems to be.
"Sure they do. We abuse that to upcharge the customers while they are distracted. Or did you mean special for you?" Hannah jokes.
"I don't know much about magic, so I was wondering if the fair maid made it more potent or the such." Jimmy says smiling, "But tell me, what potions do you stock that might interest me?"
Gwenhwyfar puts the broom away and being blushed to a nice pink again she grabs Jimmy at is sleeve to drag him out. "I'm done here for today, lets leave." and without turning towards her she adds "Goodbye Hannah, see you tomorrow."
Hannah waves the two goodbye "Have fun with your handsome bodyguard. Goodbye Mr. Fiddle."
"Goodbye Hannah, I will be back for more information about those potions at some point." Jimmy says smiling back at her. "Where are we going?" He asks Gwen
"Hey, you don't have to be nice to her for making jokes on me." Gwenhwyfar protests, which looks really cute with her being pink. "The potions are the same as the ones I carry around."
As Gwenhwyfar and Jimmy are out of sight of Hannah's she replies "We are going shopping. I need some new dresses." and with the distance to the place of her embarrassment her excitement comes back.
"I am sorry we made jokes at you. It's just that you get embarrassed so easily and you look nice when you blush." Jimmy says blushing himself somewhat. "I must ask though, why am I coming dress shopping with you?"
"Someone has to check if the dresses I choose look good on me. And that's going to be you." she states cheerfully and drags Jimmy into the Sandpoint Boutique.
Seeing the couple entering Mrs. Korvaski greets them "Welcome to the Sandpoint Botique. May I help you?"
"Gwen here wants dresses, I have been told I have to judge them. So you can help us with dresses." Jimmy says
Gwenhwyfar stands straight despite still being pink and says "And please suggest some that make me look cute. For that would be according to the taste of Mr. Fiddle here." And as Mrs. Korvaski turns away to see to it, she looks at Jimmy to stick her tongue out at him.
Raising an eyebrow Mrs. Korvaski replies "Well." and moves to the stand where the dresses are hung.
Looking back over her shoulder she asks "What price range are you looking for Miss?"
Shouting after Mrs. Korvaski "Adorable would be better" poking his tongue out at Gwen
Weighing her belt pouch in her hand she retorts "I think not more than two or maybe three..." and making a dramatic pause she adds "platinum."
Seeing how Gwenhwyfar and Jimmy enter Niamh comes over to them with the transverse flute in her hands greeting them "Hello again!" She takes her backpack and her violin case with her too.
"Gwen, why don't you pick some you like off the rack, I'm going to try and find something." He says to Gwen. He then says to Mrs. Korvaski as an aside, "Do you have a shaving kit?"
Taken aback by the response and how it was presented she stiffens up a bit and moves to the stand with the higher quality dresses. She shuffles through them and meassuring up Gwenhwyfar with an experts look pulls out a beautiful green dress made of silk.
Offering it to Gwenhwyfar she suggests "If you'd like to try it on, we have a small dressing room over there."
"Don't you dare to sneak away." she says to Jimmy and grabbing the dress she disappears in the dressing room.
"Of course we have shaving kits." Mrs. Korvaski replies. "Do you like something special, like made of ivory?"
"Well that depends on the prices. What do you have and how much are they?" and so Gwen can't hear he continues "I will also need a suit of some sort to match her favorite dress once she has tried them on, but i would like to keep that a surprise, so perhaps I can come back without her for that?"
Niamh shouts and then adds in normal tone "Please, don't buy it, just use normal, animal-friendly material." she tries to changes Jimmy's mind.
After a few minutes Gwenhwyfar comes out of the dressing room again wearing the green silken dress, her arms crossed over her chest. "Excuse me mam, but I can't wear that. I like the material and all, but do you have one that is more decent?"
Waiting to get another dress she notices Niamh. "Oh hello." she says, blushing again being seen in that dress.
"Hi Niamh, I dont like Ivory very much as it happens, I just want to see what they have." As he turns to look at Gwen his jaw drops and he stammers "You... You look stunning Gwen."
Niamh tries to hide a grin at Jimmy's last comment.
Giving Niamh a glare Mrs. Korvaski replies to Jimmy "We have the standard one for 15 silver or better quality with ebony handle for 5 gold, or our luxury set made from ivory for 15 gold. Both of our better sets come in an ebony box." While she explains she searches the boxes from drawers behind the counter and sets them opened on the counter.
"You turn around immediately, you are not allowed to look." pointing at Jimmy with her index finger, and then drawing it back immediately as she remembers she needs her arm to hide the 'neckline' of that dress.
And it has to be said that the green of the dress is no good match for the pink of her face.
"Sorry" He manages to pull his eyes away from Gwen "Umm, let me see the ebony one please?" He says to Mrs. Korvaski obviously distracted
Mrs. Korvaski leaves Jimmy with the sets and pulls out another dress. Also made of silk, but closed up to the neck, with long sleeves and down to the ground. The color a royal blue. "Here this might be more to your liking."
"Sorry little Miss that I forgot about you. But if you're really interested in buying, you might try it yourself. Just try not to blow to much spit into it." Mrs. Korvaski suggests to Niamh.
Following the advice Niamh blows into the tone hole, but doesn't get a sound. Confused she tries it again. And again. After a few tries she manages to produce a tone. "Oh, I have to blow in like in a bottle to get a sound... she says more to herself, trying it again, annoying everyone around her with playing only the highest tones . After some more blows she gets dizzy because she isn't trained to produce so much air. Niamh's face gets a shiny expression as she looks around. "That was great, wasn't it?" and turning to Mrs. Korvaski she asks her "How much does it cost?"
Jimmy opens the box and inside he finds a straight razor, a whetstone, a small mirror, a brush, a cup, and shaving powder. "This looks fantastic, I think I will take this" Jimmy says "You said 5 gold yes?"
"That flute would be 5 gold" Mrs. Korvaski replies and to Jimmy "Yes that's also 5 gold."
"Do you have a case or somewhat for the flute too?" When Niamh gets the case too she smiles happily and handing the money out to Mrs. Korvaski taking the flute, her fiddle and her backpack with her and leaves the shop.
After another few minutes Gwenhwyfar comes out wearing that beautyful dress this time being more comfortable presenting herself in the door of the dressing room. "Now you're welcome to look and praise my looks." she teases Jimmy.
Jimmy turns and just stares for a few moments "Incredible" is all he can manage to say for a while longer. "Just incredible Gwen"
"I thought we were aiming for adorable?" Gwenhwyfar baits Jimmy.
Waving Mrs. Korvaski over she says "I think I need some kind of belt as an appliqué to that. Maybe in beige or creme. Also I need two more dresses, that are more practical. One made from Linen, or something of that kind. With short puff sleeves. And one for cold days. With laces at the sleeves, the neck and the seam."
Thinking some more about it she adds "And they all need pockets. And I need a belt. A tool belt, to store my potions and my dagger. And a backpack of good quality, with lots of pockets. And a scroll case."
And she continues a while, until she told Mrs. Korvaski everything, and quite an amount of stuff is presented on the counter.
"I'll have this you over adorable you any day." Jimmy says passionately, still watching her. "Before we leave I would like to have a word with the shopkeeper if that's alright with you?" .
Taking the shopkeeper aside Jimmy says to her, "Do you have anything that would match that blue dress that I could ask you to put aside for me?"
Coming along Mrs. Korvaski explains "You would have to be a bit more specific. I could sell you black trousers and a black shirt with a blue silken dress handkerchief. Or you could take the whole nine yards to get a swallowtail coat. How formal would you like it?"
"Well how formal can one get in Sandpoint? Are there any balls or the such any time soon? How much would both be?" Jimmy muses for a bit
"The more leasurely version would cost you five to seven gold depending on the quality, the formal one would be above 20. But if you aren't invited at one of the manors there won't be any occasion to show that one off." she tries to tell Jimmy with a straight face.
"Well give me both then, and a few blue silk ribbons to make it a round 3 platinum? Will you tailor them?" Jimmy says embarrassed at how much fuss he is making
"Yes, we'll need an appointment with our tailor to prepare that, and it will take at least three days, but usually more like a week, until it is finished. And as it is custom mode it has to be paid in advance. The throwsers and the shirt you can select over there." She says pointing to another stand in the shop. "I need to tend to your Miss again, if you'd excuse me?"
