Yoshii listens to Rae's words and thinks for a moment before writing "I agree with Rae actually. I worry we might be trusting him too much. We met him for two minutes and it seems as though he wants to be best of friends. Still, it would be an opportunity to size up some of the competition. I will defer to the rest of you, but I'm not so sure what is the best path here."

"Bah magister the tests for you were to ensure you would be useful in the coming trials. This nigel can attempt to slit my throat in my sleep for all I care. It will be just that, an attempt. He offers me a drink and roof if the exchange for that is that I have to sleep with one eye open tonight I will gladly take it."

Alaris chuckles. Oh here we go again with the plot holes! One day someone will fill those for you. Come on! What's the harm!? It is a show of good faith and hospitality. He pauses briefly before continuing. And! Any attempt at sabotage will probably be met with an early elimination from the tournament one way or another. He continues to chuckle.

You are brash and overconfident Chukie. This is a tournament of international proportions. There exist many in the world stronger than you or I, and we would all do well to not forget that. We are among practitioners of the arcane. Finding a place to create our own shelter should not be a problem. It would be a preferred alternative. Remulus' inflection remains unchanged. His statements bare neither positive nor negative connotation, and his almost eerie calm is unwavering.

Perhaps we should take a vote! Remmy is right, I can provide us with shelter as well, quite frankly. It would take me roughly two hours to attune myself properly before conjuring our lodging. We would, however, lose out on the great opportunity of taking a look at the competition. One option is safer... but the other is much more interesting!

'Interesting' isn't worth risking an...issue prior to the tournament starting, and you know that. Plus I think it's safe to say that I trust you more than I trust a creepy stranger.

Very well then. Let's put it to a vote. Everyone in favor of begging assistance from this strange man? Everyone opposed?

OOC:
Go ahead and post what you're voting.

"I abstain if both choices can provide me a roof and booze otherwise I vote for whatever side can provide both. "

My vote has already been stated, and as for our alcoholic tiger, I have one word for you: Alchemy. You want some firewater running through your veins? I can help you, especially if that's what it takes for us to avoid this ridiculous situation.

"haha my good alchemist. I was looking for something relaxing not something debilitating. The good magister helm gave me quite the workout today. It seems myself and thane are in the minority to accept this mans hospitality. So very well magical camp in the woods it shall be if its good enough for a pr, magister then it shall suffice for me."

"Gods be good that felt like a week," Nigel says as he walks back. "I see you've gathered everyone up! Most excellent. I figure I can talk with the manager of Grimwol's Inn. He owes me a small favor, and finding room for ya'll should be pretty simple." Nigel's grin somehow finds a way to grow, and his smile beams out.

"As for drinks," he begins to motion that you follow, "If you're the sort for wine I have some Lenoran wines at my camp, and if you're the sort for a more stout beverage then I'm sure the dwarf has some fine ale."

He looks back to notice you aren't following "Quit dilly dallying boys! There's fun to be had."

The tiger looks uncomfortable and says "Yeaaaaa about that...."

and then proceeds to look expectantly at those who had been disinclined to accept Nigel's hospitality

Well as our spokesman is a bit... short of breath at the moment, I'll go ahead and take his place. We appreciate the offer Nigel, but I think we'll pass on the festivities. I would sugarcoat it and say that we want to prepare for the tournament and the like, but the fact of the matter is that I don't trust you. But I like you, if it's any consolation, and express gratitude at your extension of hospitality. Jayne finishes rather matter-of-factly and extends a hand to Nigel.

Nigel frowns and shrugs his shoulders. "Very well," and shakes Jayne's hand firmly, "I hope your accommodations are found quickly. I'm sure at least one of you must be skilled enough in magic to whip something up if nothing else. Still, I think it is bad habit to mistrust others so much that you'll not even go drinking with them. Well, I suppose I have things to do, but in the evening I intend to visit every tavern possible before returning back and sharing some of the dwarf's brew. They make a wine up there, a very sweet white that hits the tongue and nose so perfectly." Nigel starts walking off, then turns back, glancing up slightly.

"Though it occurs to me, surely it doesn't take all of you to hunt down a place to stay? Perhaps you would care to join me friend Chukie? I've need to stop in one or two more places before I head back and practice for a bit, but you're more than welcome to join still." Nigel gives one last glance, raising one eyebrow up over the other and grinning with that same Cheshire grin that seems to be glued to his face.

The tiger turns to the group and with a particular smirk at remus says "Well it seems its time for me to go be brash and have a beverage or five with a near stranger. He's right you don't need me to find a place to sleep. I will catch up with you all later."

He walks up to Yoshii and puts a paw on his shoulder "Don't let these new guys bully you around my friend" and then adds in a whisper "I'll see what I can learn"

The grinning beast turns back around and with a slight ruffle of his wings bounds over to Nigel

"Onward my new found acquaintance, may the ale be cheap plentiful and tasty and the companionship leave little to be desired."
